As someone who is fairly new to this game, seeing someone as good as you releasing guides is absolutely amazing - thank you so much for your guides, they're really helping me get into what is otherwise a very non-beginner friendly and challenging game - you're helping the community for this game grow - keep up the amazing content
Thank you so much for your kind words. Your feedback means a lot for me. I will keep trying my best and your comment encourages me to work on the more time-consuming projects. Much love!
Chief + Lords + Militia + only 4-6 Fantassins coupled with extremely high population is really hard to get through! Even for a 12 warband Wolf. I think playing greedy and going Codex/Jörmunr is the way to go.
That's a great guide! Thank you. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but is it cost-effective to upgrade tiles after level 8 livability since duchies have less production?
And what's the point of upgrading more than 1 barracks in the kingdoms? Isn't it the same but more expensive than just building 1 more barracks with a military fort?
Great question! In the best case you'd want 2 military forts on tiles with multiple camps as that gives you the best military levy. You need to upgrade your camps to be able to build multiple camps on a single tile!
i believe the advantage of free population slots that come with the upgrade added to the fact it also allows to build the smithy in my opinion counters the reduced production
@@YuriLongarms i also had this question, upgrading multiple barracks is used mainly for leadership combos with all the millitary upgrades, in wich multiple troop-type armies work great
Is this meant to be for an FFA/Duel build? My success with stoat for lore and build order heavily diff from yours since i only play teams at around 600 points. Was hoping to learn something new but the start is pretty similar minus the house build. Since u gain less happiness as u build more pop i still have the same amount of pop mid 800 but without the house. I tend to build my first house in the first winter. And as for lore its always carpentry vs decima, never both since i want my mutual efforts out + 14-17 in mid 802
Around 600 is really high right now :O As far as I am concerned, you have to get ready earlier in that elo and you either skip relic to convert more or you go Codex and try to survive instead. Interesting take to skip the house in the early game! Thank you for your take on that matter :)
Closed stone is really bad with Stoat. Even worse if you have to self-clear. I'd recommend going for a sentry camp if u have ruins/shipwreck and going Inland Protection if you're without treasure!
Ah that happened to me a couple of times already. Not ideal what what can you do :D You either wait for clear or just clear it yourself with sentries! If you don't have treasure you kinda have to go for inland protection :(
Partly, levies got slightly nerfed and the passive faith production got nerfed as well. Maybe that is what causes some issues. Apart from that, I am still playing the same build order as of now. Stoat is the clan I play the most as well... maybe my gameplay ON my channel will help you out with any further questions you have. What part in the build order seems hard for you? Maybe we can figure something out via chat.
@@larsmanlive i just struggle to hit the build timings I see in your video and I almost always run out of food before you seem to. i was playing in conquest too so I was gaining pop much faster than you would in 3v3
Only dependent on having open stone/food. Starter sheep certainly help! Will upload a Stoat game soon in which I don't start with sheep and it works great there, too. Kingdom clans are generally very dependent on spawns and that's what makes them pretty tricky.
really nice guide, but I'm still not liking Lion/Stoat mechanics, it's too much eco micro and with per-tile-production having various buildings instead of destroying all but one seems superfluous, I understand it's increasingly more difficult for devs to nerf all clans and their abilities to provide roughly equal gameplay especially on 3v3 and 4v4 maps, neutral stuff like Jotun/Dwarves seem rather obsolete in bigger games while Mimirsbrunn can be super OP when lucky :D

Best guides in northgard! Loving all of them
A guide. Soo amazing. Thx Lars 😊
More on the way💪
I like stoat. Because it sounds like goat.
Stoat= Fortress Goat
I love your videos. I’m a big fan of yours!
I appreciate your support!
Not a bad build! im just worried that it seems a bit weak against eagle/wolf rushes at 802, but definetly really strong for late game matches!

@@larsmanlivethis is true! But in my experience in team matches they just keep terminating my team one by one and it seems impossible to win lol
@@angsty_creator I understand! Try to get a border to your teammates. That way your population/milita can reach their tiles!

Thank you very much!
Upgrading tiles until you have 8 livability is definetly worth it.
Here I felt like I needed the extra food to trade the Jötunn.

is this guide still up to date ?? uptade trade & prestige ?
Yes sir!

How do you manage a start without free acess to stone
Either wait for your clear or build a sentry camp.
Alternatively, you can clear with a lord.
I was wondering if you don't have open stone are you pretty much forced into Inland Protection or how would you switch it up?
Closed stone is really bad with Stoat. Even worse if you have to self-clear.
I'd recommend going for a sentry camp if u have ruins/shipwreck and going Inland Protection if you're without treasure!
Subjects lore/faith got nerfed alot so this exact build is weaker and slower
That makes sense, I was really struggling to get the same timings.@@user-ly5oo2hd7p
What‘s your strategy if there is no free tile next to you and you have to fight animals first?
Ah that happened to me a couple of times already. Not ideal what what can you do :D

i wonder which is better now, deflect champions of deflect fantasim?
Both are great. I prefer fantassins!
i cannot get the timings to match up same as yours no matter how hard I play. has the clan been changed since this was posted?

For the bonus part, you use a lord to clear but he almost dies. How do you heal the lord?
Lords heal automatically on fort tiles.
what if you don't have open stone ?
Wait for clear clan to clear you.
Or sentry camp if u have treasure.
Or Mid lore to clear with lord.
In that order :)
what is the stoat role?
Defensive assist with great late-game scaling.
Levies unlock mutual benefits with all your team mates now, so that's really nice.
Is this guide not super dependant on those starter sheep?
Only dependent on having open stone/food.
Starter sheep certainly help!

I agree, the Southern Kingdom mechanics are hard to pick up!
@@larsmanlive that, and weirdly OP, just did a test run (3v3 sp) and got both Jotunns, another 25 champs, and constant team levies xD
