Foxskins go brrrrr. Great minds think alike xD. It's good to know that I wasn't alone on this. I tried going Boarskin for my first game with the clan as well: I thought early healing couldn't be too bad (so I played just like you!!!) and everything felt way too slow in comparison. Really looking forward to Hounds games already. Hounds + Raven + Snake could be BUSTED. Happy to read you comment once again

Above average for sure. Sheep spawn in first circle is very likely now. Lucky? I don't know about that. Sheep were closed, lorestone wasn't on shipwreck tile. No Naströnd/Jötunn/forrest or Thor's Wrath to colonize. I'd take forrest over sipwreck any time of the day. Keep in mind that your clan is not reliant on any type of early advantage by spawn. You can generate the ressource you lack by simply going that Berserker + Foxskin. No Lore? - Go Boarskin 1st The clan's ability to adapt is what makes it strong. It's strong on every spawn IMO.
I had a spawn where all of the animals and dens were behind a whole tile wall of draugers. Each one had about 3-4 on each tile so it was a bit tricky but just kept chipping them down until I was free 😂😂
Just out of curiosity, wouldn't be better to have 1 wolf, 1 bear and 3 fox? Bear has more defence and atk debuff + you can pick wood if needed on the occasion. Plus... why you are playing 3 vs 1 and 2 bots? O_o
1-1-3 should work as well. As long as you have enough dps in your comp. I tried recording footage for 6 games and after people left/did some dumb stuff online + crashes I settled on playing "hybrid". This way, it was also easier to highlight the "vanilla (PVE)" aspect of the clan, which is clearing the map and building your army. ~ Cheers!
Nice guide! What I sort of missed, is how do you sustain wood? I saw that at the beginning you skipped a woodcutter camp as you found a shipwreck, but how did you get 100+ wood later without a woodcutter? Thanks!
i've only bought dragon and eagle and immediately bought this new clan, its a lot of fun though you need a lot of management and it was a bit confusing at the beginning, but having 4 lvl 7 berserkers with relic is truly op
I couldn't agree more. Clan's super fun. Maybe the relic is not "viable" per se in your classic 3v3 tryhard mode, but I'll forge that thing 100% in my community games. Running around the map with a herd of animals feels like the true play :)

I tried going all wolfskins because of early food deficit (bonus food on defeating spirit wolf). Then I went a mix build with 1 of each so I could select what resources I needed. Neither of those really felt like I could effectively clear. I will certainly try this one because it looks and feels like the clear clan hound is supposed to be.

Bearskins will take care of wood deficit and Wolfskins will take care of your food problem. If the map doesn't have enough ressources, you could build a fisherman's hut as an alternative somewhere.

And i try 2-3 times an another early game with 2 point on science on Top, for axes et brawlers used on food or mining or something, and forcing on lore, to get 4 point ASAP But this playstyle is.. Ok, but take too many times for getting strong (approximately end 802/ early-mid 803) for a strong army (on late i like to play 1 bear, 4 wolf, and 1 or 2 wild boar) But after seeing your vidéo.. 😁i recognize this play still is strong, but on solo, you have to scoot Hard if you want farm all the things.. So for me scooting is a problem for getting stable on resource.. but i will try your game play 😌 Once again, i hope my English was correct, thanks for the vidéo 🫡
First of all I truly appreciate you for writing such a long comment despite English not being your mother tongue! Going top lore seems too slow for me personally! Scouting should still be fine despite not having an eco behind. Your Berserkers basically ARE your eco
Now that I've seen the guide, I'm pretty sure this is more for multiplayer purposes - which tend to end darn quick. I finish my games in 804, because I also put Gladiators onto the food producing structures. Quick question, tho. You build the wolf for "early sustain", why not the bear then? Because it lacks the DPS later on?
Exactly! All my guides are aimed for multiplayer. A Wolfsking early is needed, because your clan will lack food! From my experience, wood is not the problem!
There are Clans who heavily benefit form killing animals (or so called neutrals) in the game. Wolf gains food (after Spoils Kröwns). Lynx gains pelts. Eagle gets the ressources of the tiles. And now finally, Hound will be able to get either food/wood/kröwns or lore. For other clans in the game, it usually hurts their eco to invest into clearing. For the clear clans, they "gain" eco by clearing. If you have further questions, feel free to ask me anything!
observing how AI played (2v2v2) it seems 3x foxskins (coin gen) are indeed good, but instead of food they pick lore gen units, for less rushed game, food can be easily gathered, while coin and lore are more valuable? also it seems AI obsesses with markets, so they can quickly balance resources just from farming coins :))
Please make a guide playing the first conquest mission solo with this clan and winning it. (on hard or brutal) Shipwrecks and ruins are not allowed for demonstration purpose. Thanks in advance.

I played with 2 friends, and they let me solo army of 40 warriors with my 10 barbarians level 4-7 and I won. WTF.
How would you rate double boar skin? Is it valuable enough to get the triple healing or should I work more on diversifying my guys? Also I’m thinking of splitting bear/fox skins for fighting enemies for the damage reduction and slowdowns, or would wolf skins be better for the dps?
Wolfskins/Foxskins for dps. Boarskin healing is not really needed as the heal from bloodthirst is enough. I am a huge fan of the Bearskin ability as your units might be squishier than you think in big 3v3 skirmishes. Maybe Boarskin can be value, but it didn't convince me so far. Maybe you can tell me more, after trying out some different Berserker combinations yourself!

Is the white portion of the HP bar the health that bloodthirst will heal? "Up to 30% of their max health" does this only apply below 30% hp or does the healing have a cap of 30% MORE than your current hp. EG a 65max hp wolfskin has 40hp, does bloodthirst apply and when filled should heal them to ~61? Thanks for your understanding and help man, and nice to see that Shiro sees you too :)
@@Kheays I think its that when you get the military xp from killing a single unit, the max that military xp can heal is 30% of max health. So killing wyvern for example, despite giving a lot of military xp, will only heal them 30% of max health. Correct me if i'm wrong but this is how I interpreted it.
Overall I really enjoyed the playstyle of the clan. There's only one downside for me. Why the clan of savages looks like hispster gang from 80? ( I'm talking about the characters gameplay models) Of all 4 "Berkserkers" Only one has ( short) beard. Boarskin and Foxskin look like they are not brutes, but just out of beauty saloon. Can't really get too immersive with that. But yeah clan feels fresh and unique in the way of leveling system.

With Eagle 100% Foxskin slow is deadly for Grif. I can imagine an even match-up with Lynx, but it's still too early for me to say for certain. Fire arrows are not be underestimated...
Can this build be used in FFA? I found mid to late game difficult without going for that brawers workforce first, so you can gather stone and build your eco in order to support up to 8 berserkres in late, but clearing map start later (like late 801)
After the big nerf of the foxskins.. no chance. and where the f do you get that much money?! if you have to scout (+upgrade) and make money for more brawlers you only have a chance, when the map is very big and there are some tombs to loot, because your enemys are also clearing the map.
Go for boarskin + bearskin into foxskin now. Money comes from looting with the foxskins after getting your boarskin and bearskin to lvl 2. You can always keep farming respawning neutrals without flat-out killing them.
Meaning that this clan are really rely on the map difficulty is it? cause if hard/ extreme hard or different map it just dont have much fox or wolf dent for farming (not plying for rank, just with friends and AI)
Hard/Extreme is better for this clan since that means there's more to clear. On "easy" I'd try to farm the neutrals before eventually finishing them off.
I have played the clan like this for a few matches now and the problem I encountered was, that I dont get enough crowns to expand my army after six berserkers. When I build the house to have over 16 population I encounter the problem that I have negative crowns income at that point. You seemed to have no problem with crowns. What did you do? I know that feasting works but I dont think I or my team can perma feast at that points...
If you feel like your lacking kröwns, you'll have to plunder more with your Foxskins. I don't see another way of solving that problem since going for trading posts/docks doesn't seem to be worth it.
why spam out brawler arenas instead of pyres? doesnt the increase of population and +lore and more warband slots weigh out making brawlers faster? EDIT: nvm, I played a conquest map where shamans were available to everyone. it was also my first hound clan game xd
Leo here, gotta say my macro is probably to bad to be able to play the clan like that... but thanks for showing it anyway :) Maybe i will try to get better at macro or i just wait until hound gets nerfed to specificly negate this tactic. To be fair, i find the mid-lategame with each zerker once and 4 bearskins pretty reliable in games with scaling teammates.
Btw what do you do if you cant tiledance? Do you just wait for your third beserker? Some map setups makes it impossible to tile dance since there is only a very slim entry.
Yeah the clan's micro intensive for sure. The thing about Bearskins, they are great later, but hella slow in early game. Both movement speed and dps are lackluster.
@@larsmanlive i actualy learned it quite quick, i did 2 games against bots and i had the baseline down. Iam very fast to understand basics of things. I have the issue that i hit a specificly cealing skill very fast but have massive problems improving ontop of that
I don't know...I've never had problems like that. Have you tried waiting until all units have been dead for 2-3 seconds and then picking them up by pressing "ctrl" ?
How well does a brawler work as economy? they take double population so use double happiness lumber and food as well. Thier gather rate is 150% so i dont get how they are better than 2 workers gathering at 200%
answer is you need less buildings... so less upkeep and more efficient use of a foodtile. But i agree with you that it is just to bad. You need to spend coins on the brawler... making other brawlers and fighting units more expensive... and you need a lore upgrade... and cost extra population... The only reason you would do this is when you have only 1 foodtile available and there are not enough neutrals to clear anymore... but even then... is it worth it.. i doubt it.
thought about other advantage... you can have 2 brawlers going to the zone you miss the most... like food wood coins... missing coins and enough wood ...change brawlers to coins.... gives some flexibility.
Ngl playing 1vs1 with friends I always go with 1 or 2 boarskins and the rest are wolfskins, that healing ability (lvl 3) of the boarskins it's rare to say something

Don't ever look at AI and learn build orders there. They cheat with ressources and population.

This guide is primarily for 3v3 and other teamgames. Just like with the Wolf Clan, you lack the population to scout.

When I build the house to have over 16 population I encounter the problem that I have negative crowns income at that point. You seemed to have no problem with crowns. What did you do? I know that feasting works but I dont think I or my team can perma feast at that points...
If you feel like your lacking kröwns, you'll have to plunder more with your Foxskins.
I don't see another way of solving that problem since going for trading posts/docks doesn't seem to be worth it.
why spam out brawler arenas instead of pyres? doesnt the increase of population and +lore and more warband slots weigh out making brawlers faster?
EDIT: nvm, I played a conquest map where shamans were available to everyone. it was also my first hound clan game xd

Leo here, gotta say my macro is probably to bad to be able to play the clan like that... but thanks for showing it anyway :) Maybe i will try to get better at macro or i just wait until hound gets nerfed to specificly negate this tactic. To be fair, i find the mid-lategame with each zerker once and 4 bearskins pretty reliable in games with scaling teammates.
Btw what do you do if you cant tiledance? Do you just wait for your third beserker? Some map setups makes it impossible to tile dance since there is only a very slim entry.
Yeah the clan's micro intensive for sure.
The thing about Bearskins, they are great later, but hella slow in early game. Both movement speed and dps are lackluster.
I just had a match, where i tried this tactic but lost both of my zerkers to the 6 fox tile due to a slim entry

@@larsmanlive i actualy learned it quite quick, i did 2 games against bots and i had the baseline down. Iam very fast to understand basics of things. I have the issue that i hit a specificly cealing skill very fast but have massive problems improving ontop of that

Have you tried waiting until all units have been dead for 2-3 seconds and then picking them up by pressing "ctrl" ?

How well does a brawler work as economy? they take double population so use double happiness lumber and food as well. Thier gather rate is 150% so i dont get how they are better than 2 workers gathering at 200%
answer is you need less buildings... so less upkeep and more efficient use of a foodtile.
But i agree with you that it is just to bad.
You need to spend coins on the brawler... making other brawlers and fighting units more expensive... and you need a lore upgrade... and cost extra population...
The only reason you would do this is when you have only 1 foodtile available and there are not enough neutrals to clear anymore... but even then... is it worth it.. i doubt it.
thought about other advantage... you can have 2 brawlers going to the zone you miss the most... like food wood coins... missing coins and enough wood ...change brawlers to coins.... gives some flexibility.
Brawler for eco doesn't feel worth it IMO.
Just go and kill stuff :P

Ngl playing 1vs1 with friends I always go with 1 or 2 boarskins and the rest are wolfskins, that healing ability (lvl 3) of the boarskins it's rare to say something
Maybe that's the way to go in 1v1!
i love 1 foxskin at least.. for dps.. but also slow ability... that way you can catch you enemies hero or units
