sometimes it becomes better suited to have a smaller population with negative happiness as it'll stop unnecessary growth to pressure you into needing more food and wood. what type of victory you are looking to have also plays a huge amount into it.
They forage for food when not assigned to any production (basically unless told otherwise they will always produce food although small) if you are in a bad spot like low food or about to hit a blizzard assigning excess production like krown or lore to the town hall or to houses should help you out!
all im learning from this start is am i trying to move too fast? i usually go stag and just build scouts and woodshack like immediately in the townhall tile but then you kind of were a bit more reserved on where you put your buildings and even my friend is a bit more reserved. am i wrong for just wanting to get things rolling?
every house needs wood to be built, then also wood to maintain it. This leads to being low on wood, which is not great and better to spend wood on something else. And moreover villagers won't spawn faster as more houses are built means that you can add new house only when amount of villagers is close to max cap
I think a second Woodcutter ist a must. You have extra workers who only collect food. I would send them chopping Wood to build Silos instead of collecting food by hand
admittedly when I made the video I made my own mistakes. but this was meant to be just a simple guide on establishing a base fairly quickly. A more advanced guide would cover in detail the maximization of the build orders!
Yup, in general I feel the build order should almost always be: Scout, House, Woodcutter, Food, House, Docs, Woodcutter 2, then whatever you need most (Training Camp usually). Either way I am 100% sure you want a Woodcutter built as your 3rd building, always.
I am currently doing conquest for wolf clan. I am struggling to kill three wyverns before others. Would you please help me what build orders will be good for this situation?

total war medieval 2 is vastly different in many ways but building and maintaining an army in Northgard is more difficult than in medieval. medieval 2 is more about building towns, capture new towns, or pillage them and win fights!
If they are not tasked to make something (upgrade weapons-forge relic) they will sit idly. when you click the forge there should be an anvil on the tooltip. When you select that you can choose to upgrade a production unit, members of your warband or forge a relic. Also they generally cost 5-10 iron 100 krowns~
Generally, scouting for the surrounding tiles near your town hall would be your first priority and two scouts would get this done very fast. So yes I'd recommend two. In winter, i would advise to do everything except producing food
So mining stone or iron, scouting, wood & gold production
I'm not a bear main, but i think you should build a 2nd food building after winter
Then focus on upgrades :
- mine stone to up townhall > food prod > gold income
- mine iron to up food > sailors > warband
As soon as your food production is good, you focus on getting gold, so :
- building a 2nd dock
- upgrading both of them
If you have 6 sailors active at the beginning of 801 winter, you are fine for 802
As bear, i would also higly recommend to start forging the relic in 801 and save iron for that
Finally, you build your camps late 801/early 802 to get 10+ warband capacity
As bear, you can build some camps earlier with Protector of the Land if you need some extra happiness
Keep in mind that this is viable for team games but in FFA, you can spend more time on your economy (mining more stone/iron for more upgrades)
I hope that I've been helpful :)
