That truck almost looks like a MAZ-537 heavy tank transporter truck in the front but I could be wrong. What Make and model is that heavy 8x8 truck? DAF?
Hello tl50camiva, would it possible to contact you regarding one of your videos i.e via mail? I would love to discuss a permission to use it if this is possible. Greetings!
Paw X Paw the weight is distributed over all those wheels. I can't say for sure how much weight that is but I'd imagine each wheel has no more force acting on that road than an ordinary articulated lorry.
No they weren't - ALE built these themselves from scratch. The truck uses a Volvo Penta 16 litre marine engine developing 700 bhp, Kessler axles and utilises a DAF front bumper and Allison gearbox. The trucks are electronically connected so that when the lead truck applies throttle, brakes or changes gear, the rear trucks do as well without the driver having to do anything but steer. During testing, one of these trucks pulled 300 tons up a 14% incline and one on it's own can pull over 500 tons on a 7% incline. They weigh in at around 72 tons each.
@@xyz-sh8xx makes a question why companies even need to have 2x 250ton push/pull trucks when you can have one Trojan. Downside of Trojan is that it do not have 5th wheel option
Ah, finally my new Siemens dishwasher arrived.

Nice looking rigs!

And the idea of the SLT 50 elephant

It's based on the Unipower (formerly Scammell) prototype tank transporter. The Trojan has a DAF front bumper and a 16 litre Volvo Penta marine engine.
Traffic stops for me like that all the time ha ha 💋
And to think, if they just paid me by bank transfer as I requested we wouldn't have to go through this every pay day.
subtle flex 💀

That's a lot of Siemens.
Is that outfit ULEZ and DVS compliant?
What WERE they transporting??
Andrew Farrow can’t say for sure but they are usually generators
Transformer
why is the steering wheel on the left hand side? Rather than on the right as would be usual for England?
Is this for a better view for drive ?

chuckwin- these were built new as lighter weight haulage trucks for the French army and then converted by ALE for heavy haulage use.

They were designed by Unipower originally and ALE built them to their own spec.

@Roland Gott No they weren't. Unipower had gone out of business way before these were built. They were designed and built wholly by ALE.
@Georg N Extra braking power when descending a hill. Plus it's a back up truck if one fails I guess.
They are a nice rig but the environmentalists bust have a heart attack when one drives past them
