I think my worst investment has been the 9-piece PSA10 Yu Nagaba Eeveelution set, bought at 520$ and now its around 450ish. Not the worst, but definitely should have waited :)
agree^ it would be better (percentage-wise) to pick up a couple cases of Scarlet & Violet Base, and sell those when it goes out of print. Even if you pick up the case for market price today with shipping and tax, and sell it below market value (to make your investment liquid with a quick sale) would be more profitable than those items you picked up. :) cheers::::
I also bought one of those trick or trade bags early on. It ended up working out well as I eventually decided to use it in part (also added an ultra rare) for my kids birthday goodie bags and other school related events. Also I add them to some orders and trades as a thank you. Was a dead product, but it probably ended up becoming one of the more valuable purchases😂
big bulky stuff with low pack count does not seem to be the play. not sure why people invest in those. when i see the draga collection box all i see is 2 celebrations packs. i can see buying them to rip because they look nice and you get some goodies, but investing? hard pass. the etbs are not that old, your time horizon seems kinda narrow imo. sure if you bought some of the other sets you could have already made good money, but moving in and out of plays is hard in a tcg. not sure what kind of budget youre working with but id personally be to lazy to flip slow movers for a few hundred dollars more liquidity. i just bought 400 of the trick or trade at just under $100 to sit longterm. people seem to be trying to get rid of them like the plague and theyre super cheap, but theyre a fun product to rip casually, and people treat the cards like crap. dont know how many people are sitting on them but i see supply dwindling in the next 3-5 years, and pokecenter is out of the 2022 ones. if they reprint newer versions ~ every two years, i see them climbing slowly as the orange ones were first. if they stop making them, i see them spiking. just my 2 cents.
I think buying one or two boxes isn't really an investment. Just a collection haha

@@PolafTCGthat’s not an investment just a collection
@@jameswa4013 touche. Though I think at that price point vs a 40$ ETB it can be considered both moreso

Hidden fates would have been great if you got it for MSRP
watching this to see what good deals I can snag :sob: , jokes jokes! I hope your future investments go well!
My worst ones are the Ambien purchases.
No matter the gains, the issue that remains with investing in this stuff is the liquidity.
I want to breakdown some Celebrations ETB just to move it online/eBay to buy some 151 booster bundles...what do you think?
Pokémon Go Radiant Eevee collection (Paid retail)
Darkness Ablaze ETB (Paid retail/Sold for a loss)
