We’ll have to see because while he’s most likely alive we can’t rule out the possibility of him being dead either Also I like the dive fish man idea I think that genuinely adds more diversity to the kid pirates BUT I don’t think she is a fish man or mermaid (she could be but I doubt it I think her name more comes from the concert thing of diving off the stage but again I’d love if she was a mermaid or fish man) reason being we’ve seen regular humans who have sharp teeth too like Bartolomeo but i definitely do see either a giant or a couple of giants saving them and then I don’t know what maybe imprison them or something kinda like “you did attack our land and we should kill you but you did kill big mom and we owe you for that so we’ll imprison you instead” or maybe a giant takes them somewhere to rest up and recover and stuff? For the record I do assume she does hate her since apparently all the giants do but there is always that route Oda could go) This is why elbaf is so exciting so many paths, so many options, so many different way character interactions could go!

Obviously Shanks wouldn’t be happy about it, but probably not press the issue as a guest on their island, never mind that he essentially controls it as one of the Four Emperors.

I strongly believe that Kid's character Arc isn't over yet, and the Elbaf Arc will be the perfect time for him to reclaim what he once lost no matter what. After all, Luffy isn't the only pirate representing his generation despite being an Emperor, much like how Whitebeard was during Roger's time!
I really like Kid, cause he feels like a real actual pirate and he's got a cool design and power. I enjoy watching him and I hope he's not dead and gets some redemption. If Oda can redeem Buggy several times over and make Crocodile look like a badass, he can fix up Eustass Kid

I'm just surprised that people think the two guys who took out a yonko are out of the game for the rest of the story. Heck, the amount of people I have seen that think even Law is never coming back to the story even though Bepo saved him is insane. People need to understand that One Piece is not a show where the past villains or allies never come back after their purpose in the story have been accomplished. This is a show where the world is not always revolves on the mc. Everyone has their own story. Even Crocodile is making a huge comeback after being defeated by Luffy in the past. I bet Kidd and Law will come back, perhaps when the final fight against the world government. Especially Law and his df. Everyone already theorizing that his fruit will play a huge part in the end of the series.

I think this was a rude awakening for him, that he has been delusional about his path, and delusional thinking he’s the one who will become King of Pirates. We kinda saw that in the episode when he’s daydreaming and then cuts back to the burning ship. If he isn’t at least retiring from being a pirate, I think he definitely knows that he will not become King of Pirates. And his pirate career is at least on a definite hiatus until he gets a new ship.

Like, I guess Luffy is delusional in that case, because he was not beating a Yonko by himself either despite the multiple times he was defeated, before the plot kicked in. And this girl is apparently one of a few members of Kidd pirates that Oda bothered to give a name, since, when once he was asked what are Kidd pirates names he just said don't bother, so maybe Dive indeed have some importance.
While it's true that no characters can be confirmed dead unless it's super explicitly shown, I also still have PTSD from how badly that offscreen finish to the Ace vs Blackbeard fight went. Though it'd be a shame if Kidd spent even more time incarcerated after all his time in Wano. Anyway, point being, they could very well get stuck in some horrible situation akin to Impel Down even when offscreen surviving with demise on the horizon.
just my opinion, Kidd will become the current gen Kaido, I think this due to his mindset/no fear just like Kaido, and how he looses so much like Kaido, he is right beside law on going face to face with 3 yonko, being shanks, big mom, and Kaido, and yet every single one of em he never backed down, if only he would learn from each loss like most, he would be the strongest by now.
Funny how both Law and Kid got humbled by two Yonkos, i hope they meet again and maybe decide to join Strawhat fleet or something, since they probably are rethinking their life choices after almost dying to Yonkos (If Kid is actually alive) and join forces with Luffy, and Kid needs to realize he isnt the MC and i DOUBT he will ever go after Shanks after this slaughter.

diva, kidd female mermaid crew could be passing out by CoC haki and wokeup after kidd passed away from drowning... but blackbeard in jaya survived knock up stream. that's the possibility. the other thing, even shanks could pick his body and saved him from drowning as shanks likes to even feel pity for hia enemy. after joining luffy at sabody auction house and wano arc, he could rejoin luffy or shanks again at the good guys side.
What's the point of Devil fruit users worrying about water anymore? Jack survived literally just laying there drowned for how long after Zunesha smoked him, now Kid survived after being knocked unconscious, and his ship following him to the ocean. I'm kinda getting tired of One Piece honestly. Dude can't even follow the laws of the universe he created. Reminds me of Disney. At least it's nothing more than entertainment, easy to let go I suppose. Either hopefully everyone else enjoys who keeps watching. I'm sure it will have it's parts that make sense and fit well.
The only way I see him being alive, is at the end before the big war, Luffy and Zoro will need more big timers to help them fight and he and Law will join them to compete again.

i mean the big hole in this is the narration flat out saying the crew was destroyed and not doing the same for the Heart pirates, the Narration doesn't in my experience tend to blatantly mislead or lie when it goes out of its way to say something like this. and Kid Pointed a huge attack at Elbaf this probably erased any good will any giants had for him, especially if shanks went out of his way to stop it. the only thing i find that MAY possibly hint at him even POSSIBLY still being alive is we see Demalo dressing up like him in prison and given Demalo's luck on trying to pretend to be famous 'Dead' pirates' odds aren't in his favor that he got it right. that being said given that next time we see kid and Crew they'll likely therefore be in Impel down likely taken there by Shanks because of his soft spot for the next generation. or Oda straight killed him off because he didn't want to have another character to keep track of when he has so many to introduce and go into still, and given he revealed Kidd's backstory in an SBS things do NOT look good for Kidd sticking around or making a comeback that and the narration are probably the biggest clues for Kidd and his crew being killed off, Oda doesn't reveal big things like that arbitrarily unless it's become apparent he doesn't have room in the story to reveal it. if Kidd was poised for a comeback of any kind that backstory would of been saved for it, but it wasn't things do NOT look good for Kidd still being alive.

I never believed that he was dead when I read it in the manga, not because I’m a kid fan, but because Oda did not specify his death. He made it looked like he has no chance to recover, but that just makes it more obvious that he is gonna survive. The question is what purpose will kid serve in the story after his comeback? I hope it is not a front seat role in the story like he had in wano, cause I think kid is just not even close to being seen as an equal to luffy.

As for the Yonkos, first, they weren't always Yonkos. It's not like they popped out and were instant Yonkos, they work towards it and they've definitely lost even before Wano (Hell, Kaido was captured 18 times). And second, they got beaten too, so the fact that they were Yonkos obviously doesn't matter. The KotP is the only title that actually matters.
And I really don't see how you can say "is whole journey was built off of what others did rather than what he did.", cause it just doesn't match canon. Oda doesn't show much of what Kid and his crew did, but what he did show was him claiming islands. He also had more ships . He attacked Big Mom's allies and stole a copy of her Road Poneglyph. That was him and his crew, so no, he definitely did his own thing, but it is missed, because we barely see any of it. Just because we don't see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Same thing with his haki, just cause Oda doesn't want to show him using it, doesn't mean he doesn't know how to use it. I'm not going to go into the downplaying of him and Law vs Big Mom cause I'm tired of it. They both caught a dub against her, and that is what matters, although, Shanks the strongest is a stretch.
So again, no, it isn't a delusion. Like, I guess Luffy is delusional in that case, because he was not beating a Yonko by himself either despite the multiple times he was defeated, before the plot kicked in. But I get a feeling he gets a pass due to main character privilege.

While it's true that no characters can be confirmed dead unless it's super explicitly shown, I also still have PTSD from how badly that offscreen finish to the Ace vs Blackbeard fight went. Though it'd be a shame if Kidd spent even more time incarcerated after all his time in Wano. Anyway, point being, they could very well get stuck in some horrible situation akin to Impel Down even when offscreen surviving with demise on the horizon.
just my opinion, Kidd will become the current gen Kaido, I think this due to his mindset/no fear just like Kaido, and how he looses so much like Kaido, he is right beside law on going face to face with 3 yonko, being shanks, big mom, and Kaido, and yet every single one of em he never backed down, if only he would learn from each loss like most, he would be the strongest by now.
Funny how both Law and Kid got humbled by two Yonkos, i hope they meet again and maybe decide to join Strawhat fleet or something, since they probably are rethinking their life choices after almost dying to Yonkos (If Kid is actually alive) and join forces with Luffy, and Kid needs to realize he isnt the MC and i DOUBT he will ever go after Shanks after this slaughter.

What's the point of Devil fruit users worrying about water anymore? Jack survived literally just laying there drowned for how long after Zunesha smoked him, now Kid survived after being knocked unconscious, and his ship following him to the ocean. I'm kinda getting tired of One Piece honestly. Dude can't even follow the laws of the universe he created. Reminds me of Disney. At least it's nothing more than entertainment, easy to let go I suppose. Either hopefully everyone else enjoys who keeps watching. I'm sure it will have it's parts that make sense and fit well.

i mean the big hole in this is the narration flat out saying the crew was destroyed and not doing the same for the Heart pirates, the Narration doesn't in my experience tend to blatantly mislead or lie when it goes out of its way to say something like this.
and Kid Pointed a huge attack at Elbaf this probably erased any good will any giants had for him, especially if shanks went out of his way to stop it.
the only thing i find that MAY possibly hint at him even POSSIBLY still being alive is we see Demalo dressing up like him in prison and given Demalo's luck on trying to pretend to be famous 'Dead' pirates' odds aren't in his favor that he got it right.
that being said given that next time we see kid and Crew they'll likely therefore be in Impel down likely taken there by Shanks because of his soft spot for the next generation.
or Oda straight killed him off because he didn't want to have another character to keep track of when he has so many to introduce and go into still, and given he revealed Kidd's backstory in an SBS things do NOT look good for Kidd sticking around or making a comeback that and the narration are probably the biggest clues for Kidd and his crew being killed off, Oda doesn't reveal big things like that arbitrarily unless it's become apparent he doesn't have room in the story to reveal it.
if Kidd was poised for a comeback of any kind that backstory would of been saved for it, but it wasn't things do NOT look good for Kidd still being alive.

I never believed that he was dead when I read it in the manga, not because I’m a kid fan, but because Oda did not specify his death. He made it looked like he has no chance to recover, but that just makes it more obvious that he is gonna survive. The question is what purpose will kid serve in the story after his comeback? I hope it is not a front seat role in the story like he had in wano, cause I think kid is just not even close to being seen as an equal to luffy.
