Eustass "Captain" Kid is a notorious pirate from South Blue and the captain of the Kid Pirates. He is one of twelve pirates who are referred to as the Worst Generation. Kid first appeared at the Sabaody Archipelago at the same time Monkey D. Luffy and his crew arrived. Both were described as members of the Eleven Supernovas. After briefly fighting alongside Luffy while escaping an attack by the Marines, he fled the archipelago and would later spectate the Summit War of Marineford alongside the other Supernovas. During Luffy's two years of training, Kid challenged one of the Four Emperors, Shanks, but lost one of his arms in the process. He attempted to form an alliance with the On Air Pirates and Hawkins Pirates to challenge the Red Hair Pirates once more, but the alliance fell apart after an attack from another Emperor, Kaidou, which led to his imprisonment at Wano Country and where he would eventually reunite with Luffy. Though nominally acting in self-interest towards vengeance and glory, Kid's assistance towards the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance was instrumental in defeating Kaidou, Big Mom and the Beasts Pirates. After leaving Wano, Kid and his crew arrived at Elbaf and decided to challenge Shanks once more. However, the entire crew and their ship were decimated by Shanks and his allies, Dorry and Brogy. Now Kidd is someone who gets alot of shit within the community and its mainly due to the recent chapters, with Shanks one shotting the likes of Kidd even when his partner tried intercepting the attack for him, Kidd still gets knocked out and is now presumed dead thanks to the giants from Little Garden. Since this moment Kidd has been getting flack for being a fraud and fodder but really before this moment, Kidd was looked at as one of the more powerful characters. So today I will be analyzing all of his fights and determining whether or not Kid is Mid. Kid is also a rival of Luffy, who is the protagonist of One Piece. In this video we will be talking about Shanks vs Kid , Law and Kid vs Big Mom , Kaido vs Kid , Luffy Law Kid vs Kaido , and rooftop. One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 1997, with its individual chapters compiled into 104 tankōbon volumes as of November 2022. The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit. With his pirate crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the deceased King of the Pirates Gol D. Roger's ultimate treasure known as the "One Piece" in order to become the next King of the Pirates. The manga spawned a media franchise, having been adapted into a festival film produced by Production I.G, and an anime series produced by Toei Animation, which began broadcasting in 1999. Additionally, Toei has developed fourteen animated feature films, one original video animation, and thirteen television specials. Several companies have developed various types of merchandising and media, such as a trading card game and numerous video games. One Piece has received praise for its storytelling, world-building, art, characterization, and humor. It has received many awards and is ranked by critics, reviewers, and readers as one of the best manga of all time. Kidd is a fraud because his fruit is magnetism and he got one tapped by the worlds chillest SWORD (metal) user with one arm canonically famous for having a weak fleet (not CREW fleet). Shanks himself is strong as shit I know but he's canonically FAMOUS for taking on weak pirates as allies. Kid is not useless. He's the warning. Everything Luffy did at one point, was just as reckless. But kid antognised people, killed innocents, and only made one alliance. Luffy helped people, made allies along the way, built up his reputation doing a lot that made his legend grow. Kid grew his notariety. The only thing Katakuri lacks is durability and advanced conqueror's. Give those to him and he would probably be able to compete with the likes of Zoro.
People thinking Kidd is a fraud need to realize something: unlike Luffy and Law which used techniques to hit their opponents from the inside and thus bypass their durability, Kidd simply hit Big Mom so hard her bones broke, this is just straightforward raw power. Baseline Kidd is absolutely no joke and he would body 99% of the verse, his base stats are just ridiculously high, but he's reckless and got tangled up against the strongest people in the verse, which almost everybody would have gotten washed by (and even then, the man could still hold his own against Big Mom, sure he wouldn't have won solo, but he still was able to tank a flurry of direct hits and get back up, but as I said prior, he managed on several occasions to overpower her.
If this man ever manages to awaken his Conqueror's Haki, he'd be Yonko level, because his base stats are already high enough where he can challenge one
ur right I think law and kid are still alive but they are in the hide rn or training to get stronger and they will come back soon. Their potential is too great to just be washed away because they went up against 2 of the strongest ppl in the verse. I think KId and Law before they got defeated by Shanks and BB were Admiral Level or atleast strong enough to go toe to toe with one. they couldve been stronger if they got a Haki bloom
@@user-zl8xn1bi6q Personally I don't think they were on the level of an Admiral, but I think they were able to give one a very difficult fight yes, and they'd probably wash about any commander (okay, except maybe the commanders of the crew of the Yonko that beat them lol, again, if they are imo below Admiral then they are below Kuzan and possibly also Beckmann, but High-Extreme diff of they lose, though that's discounting a possible bloom on their part as they have pretty insane growth)

One thing people underestimate about Kid is how he uses his devil fruit. Some people say that Kid should "use his devil fruit like Magneto." But Kid already is using his devil fruit correctly.
It's easy enough to just make metal float using magnetism, but Kid takes it to the next level by constructing mechs and lasers. Like, he's not just mashing metal together and making them move with magnetism. He's carefully moving every piece of metal where they need to go to build fully functioning machinery. This takes engineering skills.
And Kid does all this in the middle of combat.
Some of Kid's attacks are pretty smart too. Like Punk Vise. At first glance, Punk Vise just looks like two giant fists smashing the enemy in the middle. But what he's actually doing is producing a magnetic field to slam the two giant fists together. It's like when you move two magnets close to each other and they suddenly "snap" together.
I don't get how Kid getting clapped by 2 of the strongest Pirates in one piece makes him a fraud like other than a yonko and a couple of other people no one in the verse can beat the Yonko People just want to find a reason to hate on Kid

He got One shot just like start wano arc Luffy, meaning he is nowhere stronger or much stronger than any Yonkou commander like how Kidd stans constantly said that he was.

Kid is coming back and is going to have his own moment like the straw hats did in post Marineford. What’s holding him back is his trauma as he’s scared to trust anyone. While luffy attempts to make friends with everyone he can, Kid is scared of losing his friends and being betrayed, He didn’t even like the fact that killer was admiring general franky. When Kid returns he’s going to learn the lesson that Shanks taught a young Luffy, that he doesn’t need to have a bravado all the time and fight everyone he can and that he can learn to rely on others.
Some would say that Kid learned how to trust others because of Luffy and Law but he still doesn’t entirely because of his trauma and I think when we see Kid again his backstory will be fleshed out in anime and manga much like Laws in Dressrosa

Kid and Law will both come back into the story. They will both recieve haki buffs and amps. Kid will obtain ADV Conq and Law future sight. I feel that both haki abilites are very fitting for the 2 of the,. Kidd will also be saved by the giants of Elbaf since he killed/ defeated bigmom who is Elbafs biggest criminal.

The problem with Kid is he's just a moron that hasn't learned how the New World works at all, he's like a new player that was given max level but put everything into one or two attributes (I'm obviously referring to his over reliance on his devil fruit).
He continuously goes after those that are way above his pay grade and putting his entire crew in danger. He's that small yapping dog that goes after the biggest meanest dog then gets bitten into pieces.
Kid isn't weak but he's way to naive to survive, he just got lucky that Luffy and Law came in with the goal of taking out Kaido because if they didn't Kid would've been rotting in prison like how he was lucky that he didn't die when he first challenged Shanks...
His use of his devil fruit isn't good enough either as it mostly consists of slow hard hitting weaponry like guns or huge hands, his awakening is good but his fruit isn't like say Laws that is so broken that you can get away with not utilizing advanced forms of haki nor is Kid as tactical/intelligent as Law.
Law gets a pass because he's smart enough to not rush into fights that he can't win, he's knowledgeable of how dangerous it is now at such a big stage in this journey unlike Kid hence why he's been able to stay afloat for so long.
Luffy has a similar strongheaded response but unlike Kid he knows how important haki is and to not be too reliant on a single source of power also Luffy is far more creative and a battle genius.
Luffy can rush in because in a battle thats when he's at his smartest and completely in his element, he's also willing to learn from others.
Kid has the worst of Luffy and Laws traits, he's heavily reliant on his devil fruit like Law but he's too strongheaded/reckless like Luffy.
We haven't seen him get a win outside of Big mom which was a 2v1...
I mean luffys the same with plot amour to back him up. Lets be real if it wasnt for plot amour luffy would have gotten himself and his crew dead a long time ago not that im complaining because in order for the story to continue things have to happen in favour of the main character even if some of those things are bs asspuls.

In my view it is different from how Oda portrays both moments and when they happened. Wano is where the bar was set for 3 billion berry count and the expectation of a character to contend with characters like the Yonko you need to have strong enough Haki or DF powers to beat that level of strength. Kidd basically had 0 haki and growth despite how much Oda paired him with luffy and shows very little development of his own df compared to his rivals. Oda then goes above and beyond to make sure to tell the viewer that he was not built for the end game by stating to the audience that he was destroyed. This was a character that supposedly can put up a fight against Yonko with help and he got one-shotted. This was after he was helped severely by Law against Big Mom with him doing the same things again and again and not changing anything besides his canon that was shown to be useless against a target that can fight back. Oda told us Kidd is trash and is supposed to show us viewers what an evil Luffy would be like and if we ever see him again he will be as the next Gecko Moria. Not to mention the fake Kidd pirates from a few chapters ago.

Honestly I love his character. Yes, he needs to learn how to use his fruit better but he is the opposite of Luffy, yet provides comical relief too. I hope Oda keeps him "afloat" if you know what I mean....(if you keep up with the manga). I would love to see him becoming stronger and more creative with his powers. I know his an "ass" but that's what I like one piece, everyone has unique personalities. Hands down my new fav character, don't care what people say :)

Remember this is the guy that picked a fight with shanks and then lost his arm.
Now that he AND LAW beat big mom suddenly he thinks he can take Shanks despite the fact that he and law barely won that fight. It took everything they had to take her down.
Same with Law. He went after Teach and then his crew got taken out. Beppo of all people helped him escape. These two need to realize that working with people aint a bad thing as well as realizing the REASON why they won against a yonko.
Now if they teamed up against either one they may have had an actual chance.

It goes back to really how the characters were at the start, both Kid and Law had much different childhoods than Luffy. Luffy grew up alongside Sabo and Ace who were his friends while Law and Kid had to endure a lot tougher of a time, I’m not saying Luffy had it easy with Dadan but Law was dying and was eager to kill people at a young age and I’m sure if Oda fleshes out Kid more it’ll turn out to be the same way considering he was in a gang.

I mean, I don’t think he died (that’d just be a terribly written ending for him as a character and it looks like Oda left open the possibility of him having a comeback during the Elbaf arc given that he had him go down next to Elbaf). That being said, I also have literally no hope for his comeback at this point. If he’s going to be back to get another ass whooping from Shanks, then maybe he should retire and start a metal band with Killer and his other remaining crew mates instead.

We didnt see anything turn black but he said he was using armament haki., Another example is sanji vs queen if sanji didnt say "by combining both color of supreme haki with my exoskeleton I can reach much hotter flames" we wouldnt know he was using using it.The most recent example is sentomaru. We already know from sabaody he can use haki. When he was fighting kizaru we didnt see any signs of haki but he had to be using it because he knows kizaru is a logia.

Before the shanks incident no one thought kid was one of the stronger characters as you put it. That’s one thing I don’t like. You can’t create a false set narrative and attempt to answer it. Let’s be real, most one piece fans expected more from Kidd cause he was hyped until as luffy rival. However in the beginning where Kidd is first introduced, his bounty is higher than luffy simply because he actually killed people. Not because he was deemed “stronger” than luffy. Then let’s look at what happened to Kidd. We later find out Ben beck men took his arm, we find out kid could do haki but we also see his attacks couldn’t do shit to kiado. Yes kidd can awaken but so far we haven’t seen him do shit 1v1 to anyone with conquers haki. We seen what him and law did together but we seen an actual 1v1? At least law showed us he has enough haki to cancel out devil fruit abilities. Sure you can say “ if law can do it, so could Kidd.” But until it’s actually confirmed that is just speculation or filler talk on a UA-cam vid. I say that to say it’s the fandom fault for making Kidd on par with people like luffy and when he doesn’t meet their expectations, they get upset and call Kidd mid. Bro, that railgun explosion take is super cringe. Railguns don't shoot lasers they shoot metal projectiles propelled by electromagnetism. That's why Midd can even use rail guns. Also Metaljunk held together by electro magnetism exploding doesn't make sense regardless of which way you look at it. This is one of the most insane copes out there and pure head canon.
It is not in any way surprising that a Yonko can one shot Midd. Kaido literally used an attack that killed Gear 4 Acoc Luffy who is leagues above Midd. That wasn't even Kaido's strongest attack. Kaido didn't even have to go all out and use his trump card to kill "Gear 4 Acoc Luffy". Think about that. Why would anybody really doubt that Shanks has several moves to take out Midd at once even if Kaido is stronger than him. The reason Big Mom didn't do that to Midd and L was literally plot armor. We saw what happens to Midd and L if they face a Yonko without Plot armor. They get exposed as Captain off screen and Captain one shot.
If Big Meme wouldn't have suffered from her plot induced brain amputation and the Alliance would have had to legitimately beat another Kaido tier character than the Raid would have failed. The entire stupid subplot of the Bombs was only introduced to manufacture Big Memes demise and have her loose a fight that she would have won in 9.999.999 of 10.000.000 cases. The stars literally aligned for the most unbelievable chain of events in the entire story.
