worth mentioning that once you put the sides in especially its well worth checking that the sides and rubber strips are sitting well against the glass as its easy to push the sides out and it leaves a bad looking gap on the inside .
I did this job on my Firenze red 2001TD5 SW just over a year ago; what a transformation! The dark glass looks fantastic against the red & replacing the old, leaky, insecure sliding windows lifts the whole vehicle.
It's an easy job (especially as I already had the side window cut-outs), so don't be afraid to tackle this job yourself.
I had mine done with VGS who did a great job on my Corris Grey 110 but I agree, on a Firenze red vehicle, it would look even better.
@LR Live Looks nice, can I ask did you do back right window. Or did I miss it??
yes, I did both but just covered the fitment method on one side.
@@LRLiveUKunlucky for me, was hoping to see how you tackled that side as I made a right pig's ear of mine
I've seen these that didn't have the opaque part to hide the glue and they look tacky as hell. This look isn't for everyone I guess.
yes these are much cleaner. And the only ones that are insurance approved too.
Looks like a downgrade
There are good job’s on UA-cam but that is not one of them
I wouldn’t like to be following these types of windows at night. They look like mirrors and could be too reflective. ☹️🙈🦘
No more reflective than the privacy type you see in all manner of cars, SUVs, campers, etc.
