  • 3 months later - Here's part 2!!
    The last video didn't really count. I was probably closer to the limiter than 5000rpm!!
    Used the Torque app on my phone to connect to a OBD2 scanner and adapter cable.

    It’s interesting that you mentioned the intake sound. Once I bought a Rottweiler intake similar to yours and I took it off because it was terrible for me I couldn’t even hear the exhaust for the intake noise. I now run the stock airbox lid with a twin air foam filter the one that resides in the cage from twin air much better. It would be interesting if you try the quiet kit for the wings exhaust it’s sold separately. It has the cone that goes in the front of the muffler and the modified tail piece. Thanks for the video

      That intake was aweful for noise. Anything longer that half hour and my ears would be ringing for hours after. My wings can came with a small baffle too which had a cap on the end of the baffle that goes into the can (looks like the quiet kit but without the mesh) and that was considerable quieter as I needed it to pass the MOT.

    Interesting about the intake noise with the Rottweiler system. The stock airbox and snorkel are designed that way to keep noise down. I know it can make more power with the full intake replacement, but it has plenty already with Rottweiler's mapped PC6 and a Yosh can. Intake noise is generally a flapping "bicycle cards in the spokes" sound and it is ugly. Revs up and on the cam it can sound cool, but it is just too much. Too bad the stock airbox is a bit of a pain in the ass to re-install after removing. Taking the battery out is a must when dealing with the stock airbox for sure.
    Speaking of the Yosh, it has a spark arrestor insert which probably helps noise a little. It is a long can, extending to below the turn signal, which is good as it can't melt it. The Yosh is a straight through with no DB killer in the cap, so it is loud when you romp on it. A near 700cc cylinder is going to make some noise. I also have a Super Tenere with a Yosh slip on, it is not nearly as loud despite the can being shorter. I figure it is because my Super T still has the catalytic converter in it. The honeycomb of the CAT kills a lot of noise.
    I wear ear plugs when I ride, no real bother, but I try to be respectful when riding around pedestrians and such. It is still quieter than a straight pipe Harley and we have lots of those here in the US 😆

    Can I get a link to the muffler slider/protector you have? I can’t find one that matches the 701 color😔

      This particular one was from auspuffshutze.de but the nice bright yellow is like faded pee now! Can get them from the brap shop too, probably better off with a blue one!

      It feels louder than that on the bike! Intake is so loud over the exhaust even with the baffle out!! haha

    Do you have power commander? I have wings exhaust on mine also without dbk and I want to put you air filter but I have to remap? Thanks

    • @Twedymoto
      @Twedymoto  5 років тому

      Yes, I have a power commander that has been custom tuned. I would advise getting it either mapped by a dealer or someone that can map the original ecu or fit a power commander. It will really smooth the bike out and make it more enjoyable to ride!!

      Thinking of getting a wings exhaust myself. If I take out the baffle I'll need a PCV and tune right?

    • @AitorMendoza
      @AitorMendoza 5 років тому

      Axell Hernandez At the moment I have the wings without baffle and it goes pretty well ;) (stock header, stock air filter)

      @@AitorMendoza dont you need a tune if you remove the baffle tho?

    • @Twedymoto
      @Twedymoto  5 років тому

      It is recommended that you get it tuned if you remove the baffle or change the air intake with an aftermarket exhaust. If your dealer can install the aftermarket/evo map, then at least go for that. It should be fairly cheap as it only takes them 15 minutes to download and install to your ECU

    Lmao intake db.I have DNA airfilter and ive put a gauze mesh in it to stop majority of water getting in and ive also put a mesh by the water bottle to cover the gap.

    • @Twedymoto
      @Twedymoto  5 років тому +1

      It's horrifically loud! Lol. I've not had a problem with water getting into the filter but then again I don't ride it in the wet! 😁

      @@Twedymoto I got a cat converter from my standard exhaust i cut it up not stupid because i got a spare lol and i grinded it perfectly to fit in part of the link to the remus and it definatley sounds quieter.So what im saying is maybe buy a oversized cat and operate on it.

    What about small baffle?

    • @Twedymoto
      @Twedymoto  4 роки тому

      I didn't check the small baffle as I got the result I needed but I'd imagine that would reduce it further by 3-5db 👍
