- HELLO EVERYONE! I know it’s been about 2 months basically. At first I was taking some time to myself getting my mind right. Which did helped me with trying to stay creative and coming up with new video ideas. Second I was kinda taking my time make this small “video essay” expressing my opinion on the current gaming industry. It’s been feeling a bit rough this current console generation from the Big 3. Not to say there are NO good games at all, that have came out this gen. But I did list 3 negative points I wanted to share that I feel are affecting videos games.

Your right! I just looked it up and the developers are actually,WB Montreal, which would explain way the game didn’t really meet expectations. I could of sworn I thought I saw rocksteady name on the box 🤦🏾♂️ appreciate it 👍🏼

I will continue to be a gamer for as long as I live, but it’s depressing to see what gaming has devolved into, especially since 2013! I am sick of all these freemium, live service etc games and horrible business practices! Let’s not forget all those company buyouts that put more red tape on retro titles! I’m surprised a Video Game Crash 2.0 STILL hasn’t happened yet! The sooner it happens, the sooner gaming can come back fighting again just as it did after the 83 crash!
The crash maybe happening now when AAA after AAA flopped.
Gamers just need to be smarter to vote with their wallets.
What in history ever had a +10% YOY leads to a crash ever? The crash of 83 was preceded by almost 5 years of negative industry growth. I think too many youtubers and has tossed that word around so much that people ran with. There is no crash, nor is there an impending one.

Seriously - developing a COD probably cost 5 million dollars....Those games have been shite since 2009.
The worst gaming launch in history wasn't cyberpunk 2077. It was a game called fallout 76 and it came out a couple years just before cyberpunk 2077 or might have just been earlier in the same year. But they mess everything up with this game even the merchandise was buggy.

The entire gaming commuinity is responsible for the state we are in right now. Why do you think companies are making games like this? Why do they keep funding and taking risks on THESE live service crap? Because the statistics don't lie, thats why. We as gamers have given them the data they need. We grew patient with microtransactions. We made it ok to preorder bad games even before they got released. We are the statistic that they target. If you need change, we as an entire gaming community need to vote with our wallets. For as long as the statistics keep checking out, we will always get these live service atrocities delivered over great single-player narrative driven polished games.
This is the reason why indie gaming exist because they cared about us more than the AAA gaming industry ever did.
I think I gotta start throwing my money at indies 🤔 rather give my money to a fellow gamer than a multi million dollar company lmaoo

I loved cyberpunk at launch, sure there was a palm tree in the middle of the scree for the first couple of hours of the game but it only made it better imo.
They did that to really immerse you into the game lmao

Saw a review of the game not the long ago, the game looks badass! It looks similar to ghost of tsushima. That game as great so I’m definitely going to check of Raise of Ronin soon!
Developers haven't changed. Saying they are the ones who are money hungry when they've shown nothing but a burning passion for making video games. Publishers are the greedy ones with things like minimum viable product and worrying about shareholders. Devs don't do this.
Developers could assert themselves more, or form a union like SAG or the writers guild to push back against publishers. Easier said than done, though, I suppose.
That’s why many people turned to indie games.
The frame rate did upgrade to 60 frames on red dead port...only on the newer console.
When we know that the PS4 can easily push 60 FPS on a game from 2010🤣
The only reason video games are in a recession right now is that they hire to many people that aren't even game devs they hired activist disguise as game devs and they are out of touch with the gaming industry and the other thing is there's also indie games not just triple a games

The sad reality is that many people have nobody to blame but themselves. As long as they keep buying, the powers that be will keep selling.
Unfortunately, corporate got the victory they said they wanted years ago - they turned players into payers. ACTUAL gamers are going way of the dodo while blind consumers are the norm.
This generation is "cooked" as the "cool kids" say. They will keep on preordering and getting hyped for the new shiny toy kn the block while still having the audacity to complaon k

Hey! Not every single modern game being released is terrible. In fact, there are a lot of great games that have been released in the last few years. I can even list some for you. There's no agenda, and there is no forced pandering.

I have more fun playing assassins creed brotherhood and black flag than i did oddysey and origins.
Ive noticed most of my games librarys main stays are games i played 10 years ago while most of the newer games ill download, try them for an hour and then i just get bored and like autopilot switch over to the older ones
When players have more fun with a game that wasnt even released this decade than anything new you have a major problem

Why is Cyberpunk and Scarlet & Violet even in the thumbnail? Both games were fixed post launch.
I explained in the video cyberpunk being fixed.
The two games are examples of games that come out sooner than it had to be. Not normal for a game to release not finished

I don’t think I’ve played any indie games really 🤔 someone else in these comments also recommended me to take a shot at an indies but I have played a good amount of AA Games!

dawg i played every Rayman game lmaaooo! I love Rayman legends! I've bought that game on sale for almost every console I own lol Rayman origins was great also
But Cyberpunk 2077 was a good game from the start, in terms of gameplay, story, characters, and after patches it is an outstanding game. Putting it in the same row as games like Saints Row or Redfall is an insult.

Pokémon kept getting worse after pokemon sword and shield. Pokemon SwSh had dexit which is still inexcusable and I haven’t bought a game from Gamefreak since then and I’ve been buying the new games used. Pokémon scarlet and violet has Dexit again which I bought used for 44 dollars back in December of 2022. Like I said before, I won’t be buying any new mainline games until ALL Pokemon are transferable again. This company and its community has no excuse to justify it.
As for the others, I didn’t bother to buy other triple AAA games. I’m sick and tired of the “broken at launch and fix later.” It’s so old

Back in the early 2000 and 90s music was starting to suck and hard, now its worse than ever there is no rock and metal and broken beyond repair, and yet the delusional musical audiance thinks its the best time to be a musucan. How pathetic, word of advive, dont kill entire genres or art styles like styleised games just because you think its to risky. If you do than one day someone who could be very influencal could reject the indutry because they feel like no matter what they do they will be creatively restricted to making what they feel is the same shlop as everyone else
On top of that music died in 06 because they wanted to go away from the traditional style for a quote on quote "new" style. You know why books are respected now. Because they allow for a diverse range of genres and dont restrict the bookreading experience to just horror or kids books or an oversatuation of heros journey books. Books are unfortanately the indutry in the greatest condition. Gaming and movies are in the middle, anime is being threatened, and music is in its worst spot ever.
