FYI he did not have any formal training at that time. He was studying dentistry in Ukraine then but eventually switch to classical music at the Lviv Conservatory of Music. He had to beg one of the professors there to accept him as a student but was refused several times. Finally seeing his persistence the professor relented and taught ZS everything about counter tenor, voice control and projection etc. when his prof passed away he didn’t know. After finding out he flew back to Ukraine to pay his respects. He’s now a very confident, funny and quick witted young man, humble , respectful and help his musician peers whenever he can.

My favourite singer. Love him so much. He did not make it in this show and he failed the challenge with this song because he ended 1 second before the music. To harsh in my humble opinion. At That time he still struggeled to be accepted. 😢❤

His fans then rallied to him and asked him to sing the entire version for them on his radio channel. You can see he is still in the cloths he wore at the program- he is in his hotel room on his knees next to the bed and with his phone and ear phones the mike wrapped in a tissue he sings the full song for his fans and it is beautiful . this performance moves me more than the other performances of this same song though those quality of sound maybe better.
I LOVE that version! I didn't know the back story. Yes, in performance attire in a hotel room with his phone wrapped up. He sounds divine! And nothing is compromised. Absolutely beautiful!
I'm sure a lot of people are recommending Dalabengba (an RPG-inspired type of song), but before that, I recommend checking out "Big Fish" (the version from the show 'Singer 2020' is my ultimate favourite performance). Big Fish is an original song of his that he is most well known for. I love Zhou Shen, pronounced more like Joe Shun. As wonderful as his solo performances are, his duets, trios and group performances are even better, just as you heard with his duet with Sa Dingding. Most of my Zhou Shen playlist of more than one hundred performances, has songs that I never learned the English lyrics to, and I enjoy listening to them as much as any of the English lyric songs.

Zhou Shen's voice is pure, feather light and crystal clear. I think what sets him apart from other male singers is that his high notes are not forced. It just comes naturally to him. When others hits those incredible high ranges we subconsciously know that it's a man singing but when Zhou Shen sings, if we didn't know that it was him singing, it could be easily mistaken for a soprano. When you listen to him sing you don't hear the "fakeness" that we'll hear when other male singers sing at a certain range. I don't even need to explain his breath-y voice..... that is just as soft as a snow flake. His voice has that magical quality that the other singers seems to lack. There are thousands and thousands of amazing male singers with similar or extreme vocal range but not all of them have this pure and downright ethereal qualities of Zhou Shen.
Zhou Shen can sing in can sing in 9 different languages, some calls him a walking cd because he sounds the same live as he does on record, he is 1 of very few vocalists that can sing without any form of auto tuning, also every duets he has performed is absolutely perfect

I believe Hua Chenyu is criticized heavily by the general Chinese people for not being very talented vocally. He’s nowhere near as talented as Zhou Shen

On the first part of the contest eliminated Zhou Shen, Misia (Japanese Singer, she sang national anthem for Japan In the Olympic 2020) and Lala Hsu, 3 of front runners for the championship. Of cause, 2nd part of the show has no Challenger left. If I will Hua, I will feel shameful to even talk about this Championship. 我只想說周深是擁有唱歌和語言天賦的歌手，他雖然是專業美聲畢業，但是先學了一學期男中音，聲帶長小結後回國治療，再改學男高音，礙於經濟因素沒有繼續攻讀研究所，便回國當流行音樂的歌手，他的教授一直想要教他唱更高的男高音走古典音樂的路，但是周深卻想唱流行音樂給更多的普眾聽，周深未經過正規的女高音或是假聲男高音的訓練，這首歌曲周深是用他的本嗓自己聽歌學唱的。

Hua is a singer, but he is not a good person, 2021 he cheated his girlfriend and at the same time have a baby with another woman, after 2 years then found out by the public, public audiences were so shocked because he was promoted his persona is naive, innocent then found out he has a 2 years old child. About Hua’s champion in the Singer 2020, lol, that is full of ??? On the first part of the contest eliminated Zhou Shen, Misia (Japanese Singer, she sang national anthem for Japan In the Olympic 2020) and Lala Hsu, 3 of front runners for the championship. Of cause, 2nd part of the show has no Challenger left. If I will Hua, I will feel shameful to even talk about this Championship. Btw, Zhou Shen did not won 2nd on the Singer 2020, he was eliminated in the 1st part of contest. The Singer show announced that they stopped this program after this incident.
