- Definite nouns are those in which their identity is known to the reader/listener. In English, a definite noun is one preceded by "the". However in Arabic, there is more than one way to transform an Indefinite noun الاسْمُ النَّكِرَة to a Definite noun الاِسْمُ الَمَعْرِفَة. Learning to do so is an essential component of basic Arabic grammar. Definite nouns refer to specific people, places, or things, while indefinite nouns refer to general or non-specific ones.
The simplest way to define a noun is to add "the" to it, this involves adding a definite article (الـ) before the noun, which changes its meaning and clarifies its reference. The definite article is not a separate word, but rather a prefix that is attached to the beginning of the noun. For example, the word "كِتَاب" (kitab), which means "book" in Arabic, becomes "الكِتَاب" (al-kitab) when the definite article is added.
The other way to make a noun definite is by addition of the noun to either a definite noun, pronoun, or proper noun. In this video lesson we carefully cover each method with examples for each one. In addition to having a quiz at the end to ensure you’ve grasped this lesson.

Assalamu Alaikum please please please make a video on Arabic clauses and all grammar of muddaf muddaf elahi. And how to make relationship between noun clause illayhi and muddaf.
Walaikum alsalam, thank you for your comment. I mention in the video that when adding anything to the noun to make it definite is grammatically known as mudhaaf ilaih مضاف إليه. The noun we are trying to make definite would be the mudhaaf مضاف, since the mudhaaf always precedes the mudhaaf ilaih.
Unlike the mudhaaf ilaih which is always in the genitive case, the mudhaaf can be in any case according to it's position in the sentence.
I will make a video about this in the future, until then I hope this short explanation helps.
