    I was born with a genetic disorder that gave me an extra female chromosome. So my male parts are extremely small. I was told I needed enough faith to be healed. I've been ridiculed growing up and I was angry that God made me this way. My quiver is not full. But God has loved me so much, through this. He gave me an incredible scripture out of Isaiah 53. And also how He fearfully and wonderfully made me. I know somehow God is glorified through me. I've also prayed for healing and been through the charismatic ringer about healing. But all I want is God to be glorified through me, healed or not.

    Faith is not about God fixing things. Faith is about trusting Him in a world that is broken, so that we can have the peace of God that guards our hearts and minds.

    • @milah24
      @milah24 3 роки тому +22

      Yet over and over again in scripture God fixes things and faith is usually always required. Yes, there is a lot of false teachings that take this to the extreme but this video is swinging over the exact opposite side which is also false. It's much easier for us to trust that everything good and bad is from God than it is to trust that he is good and that his promises are for us. These types of teachings are causing us to become lukewarm believers.

    • @SilasRaven
      @SilasRaven 3 роки тому +7

      @@milah24 God did fix things, and God does fix things, but God has made NO "promises" that He will fix things because of our faith in the finished work of the cross. You are confused, and lack a basic understanding of the gospel. The kind of religion that you ascribe to is a pseudo Christianity, that places a false faith in God for what He came to do. You have no clue what a "lukewarm believer" is, and I am certain that you have never come to believe in Him, in the first place.

    • @milah24

      @@SilasRaven Show me this belief in scripture. I have read it and this is not what it teaches. Imo, you are adhering more to the traditions of men and are not aware of the new covenant that we are under. God works through faith Scripture is very clear about that. Again, I have studied it so don't just assume someone has a lack of understanding just because they don't agree with your interpretation.

    • @SilasRaven
      @SilasRaven 3 роки тому +9

      @@milah24 You are asking me to prove a negative, but the onus is on YOU to prove from the Bible that God "promises" to fix those things which are seen, which are not eternal. Salvation is by grace through faith, and you are adding to to God's word.
      “Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.” Luke 12:15
      Your heart is focused from faith in the things hoped for, when we receive the redemption of our bodies, to faith in what you can possess now. It is a false faith. Many have added to the gospel by claiming that it includes the promise of prosperity / healing through a faith that is foreign to those who penned the New Testament.
      Many proponents of this other gospel, that it takes the same faith to be physically healed, or to receive financial prosperity, as it does to be saved. Yet they are noticeably silent when asked.. "If someone does not receive the expected physical benefits of their faith, how do they know that they received the spiritual promise of their salvation?". Believers are complete in Him, and it’s important that you do not develop a “what have you done for me lately” relationship with God.
      The "abundant life" spoken of in John 10:10 is the life of God that we receive when we are born of the Spirit. It is not in the "abundance of the things we possess", but in Christ, in His life. Ephesians 1:3 tells us that we have been given every spiritual blessing in Christ. And 2 Peter 1:3 tells us that God has given us everything pertaining to life and godliness. We are complete in Him (Colossians 2:10), and not lacking in any gift (1 Corinthians 1:7).
      Paul tells us in Ephesians 5:5 that coveting is idolatry. We are not content with everything we have in Christ, so we go looking for more. The spirit of the world is to convince those who have been given everything from God that they are lacking something. This is what happened in the Garden with Adam and Eve, and it is still happening today. Everything we have from God is given to us freely, and we are not lacking an abundant life, and we need not go looking for one. We need to fix our eyes on Jesus.
      "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God" 1 Corinthians 2:12
      Do we know people who are poor, sick, or dying? Do we really want to tell them that they do not have an abundant life in Christ. Was Paul lacking when he was in prison, sick, nearly stoned to death, etc.? Do we want to tell others that they are lacking?
      “Not that I speak from want; for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:11-13
      We do not want to adopt the spirit of the world when we share the hope that is in us.
      "Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance." Rom 8:23-25
      The life Jesus give us, is the kind of life that cannot perish. It is abundant life because it is the same life that He has. It is eternal, and it is based on a promise that cannot be broken.

    When I found out I had a brain tumor. In the church I attended I was told that Gods wants me healthy and healed and it’s generational curse or unforgiveness in my heart and the healing will manifest soon. I said what if I’m not healed? Jesus is enough, his blood is enough for me, if God wants me healed he will heal me if not His name will still be glorified’. My husband and I were always a little uneasy in our spirit about some sermons preached and some charasmatic belief and practices. The last service I attended the Pastor preached ‘my choices create my destiny and God wants only to bless me’. I cried in my seat. Praise the Lord! this condition opened my eyes and my family eyes to see that we are not being taught the Word of God. It’s a new age movement, with some Jesus. We no longer attend the church, it’s been hard leaving, we lost friends and really enjoyed serving. I trust the Lord as my shepherd and he will place us exactly where we need to be.

      @mauchkimberly 4 роки тому +16

      So, do you also teach them not to judge others, and what that looks like? While I agree that people do use that phrase to shut down criticism, there is also a big propensity, by many Christians, to "speak the truth" to others, which is really addressing things they don't like about someone else. I have been deeply damaged by leaders who did judge me, and they were the ones in error, as evidenced by their church failing and the leadership leaving the church altogether.
      You do understand that by one's standard of measure we are measured, right? Because, having a different opinion than someone else should not provoke someone to feel judged (and if it does then it's an issue with their faith), but on the other hand, Paul did say that he would give up eating meat if eating meat caused someone with weaker faith to stumble. So then, our preferences should not be a catalyst for criticizing another person either.
      It would be better to just not judge others, since we're told not to judge others.

Therefore He knows what is best and He works for the best, whatever that might be. The other thing I’ve noticed throughout life is that you might think God said no to some requests when He is actually working in the background weaving together some very complex solutions that might surprise you years in the future.

    Great teaching!
    Two years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and underwent both surgery and radiation therapy.
    I prayed daily that God would heal me miraculously but still went through with the surgery and radiation. Why? I felt that to forego the medical procedures would be to presume upon the goodness of God.
    When they wheeled me into surgery I prayed "Lord, I'm in Your hands." Every radiation treatment was proceeded with the same prayer. I did this because I truly believe that I was not just in the hands of the surgeon/technicians, but, ultimately, in the hands of God.
    My faith in God was greatly strengthened through this process even though, to my knowledge, God did not heal my miraculously. Three tests later, I am still cancer-free. (Thank God)
    I believe with all my heart that God still heals today. Either way, I'm in his hands.

      I literally had this conversation with my wife. She keeps telling me pray and have faith that I won't have the surgery, I said to her that a day before my operation the original surgeon got covid and the replacement surgeon was called in, just before I went under anaesthetic I notice the new surgeon saying a pray in the distance, to me that was my miracle in itself, knowing that I was in Christian hands and I believed that God had put him in the room for a reason, I felt so at ease and said to God let your will be done and I trust your decision. She didn't like that I had the surgery because she reckons I could have been healed before the surgery and said I just needed to have faith, I said to her God heals in many different ways even through doctors and other means.
      I said to her "faith is not commanding the storm to stop, faith is asking God to get you through the storm."
      She didn't didn't know how to respond to that, but I pray that in gods time he will open her heart and eyes to realise this movement and their teachers are playing with her salvation and hopefully bring her back to the real Christ,
      To this time, he is working miracles with her heart, and I can definitely see a lot of changes in her life.
      Just except God's will not yours!

      "isn't Jesus enough" is a straw man argument. It is neither biblically astute nor does it address the specific issue. Healing is available to us by what Jesus did on the cross for us. The Bible teaches that it is a grace we can have. Sidestepping that fact by stating something from the religious spirit isn't authentic or honest. Of course Jesus is enough. And He covered all our sins and all our healing needs.

Would you shove him to the ground if you saw that he was in danger from something coming at him, even though he wasn't aware of what you were doing or why you were doing it? Most good parents would do those things. Do you think the child understands fully why Mommy shoved me to the ground or why daddy took me to get shots? No, but you do them anyway because you know what's best for you children. And if you, being a sinner, know how to give good things to your children, how much more does your Father in heaven know how to give good things to you? His ways are not our ways, his thoughts are far above our thoughts, so you really can't presume to know the mind of God in this situation. Didn't Jesus say that if your eye causes you to sin you should cast it away? Do you think that was just a metaphor? I don't, I think He was being literal. He was letting us know how very serious sin is.
      I absolutely believe Ulster 1690 got that response from God because I've gotten similar messages from Him. I'm chronically ill and I have begged God to heal me, but whenever I ask, just like when Paul asked for the thorn in his flesh to be removed, God always says, "My grace is sufficient for you." And I believe Him. I know I have honored God far more since I've been sick than I ever did when I was well. I'm not saying God can't or won't heal me, but until He knows I can be responsible whether sick or well I'd just as soon stay sick so that He will be glorified through me.

      The WORD OF FAITH MOVEMENT is not NEW AGE MOVEMENT. The difference is this--- the NEW AGE people are CONFESSING what they like to confess. Whereas the WORD OF FAITH MOVEMENT is CONFESSING the WORD OF GOD (God's Promises).

    I continue to be so grateful for these teachings. I used to watch the Word of Faith ministries on tv. (like 20 yrs ago), and my spirit just wept. I didn't understand it, it didn't feel right at all...yet all the teachers were saying the same thing, and who am I to gainsay these "people of God"? So, I stopped altogether... I even stopped calling myself a "Christian", because I didn't want to be associated with something that felt so wrong. I shut the church out altogether for many years, and embraced the Bible in a very personal, beautiful way. But within the past couple of years, I have felt like I'm being called back into the whole thing...because my heart breaks so intensely at the thought of those who are being deceived--and will simply walk away from their FAITH as well as the church. I never lost my faith. Thank God for that gift of grace. I just lost faith in the churches--never in God, not in the Bible. But in man--and I know there are so many out there who are genuinely seeking the Lord, but meeting up with false teachers and false prophets, and may never know it unless there are those who are willing to continue to try to reach them. Time is short. I'm startled to learn how so few people who profess to be Christians have never even opened their Bibles, or have NEVER heard the Gospel!!! The church is falling away from the teachings of our Lord. It's time for us to stand up and tell the TRUTH.

      Friends, one of the Biggest mistakes a lot of Christians make, is basing their Beliefs on 1 or 2 scriptures on a subject . The Scriptures , are then, often Wrongly Divided . But , further Study of the Scriptures, Reveals more T R U T H , and Corrects Religious ( but unscriptural ) Opinions . I was Catholic , then Traditional Pentecostal for 17 years . Now , as of 1985 , a Word of Faith Christian , Because , the Leading Teachers ( FINIS DAKE , KENNETH HAGIN etc ) are actually the most Scriptural I've ever seen ! By God's Bible Myth Buster , Born Again, in 1967 .
      Friends, & Others, may Disagree with some of my Bible Teachings, But, they can't DISPROVE them, with rightly divided Scripture .
      Since Scripture , rightly divided & correctly understood , and Taught, is God's Final Authority , then the Religious opinions of all who don't Agree , are really no better, than The Pharisee's opinions about Jesus . Both , are Unscriptural . Go ahead, anyone who disagrees , and show me , with 5 rightly divided New Testament Scriptures, where I' m " Wrong " . ( I double dog Dare You , LOL )
      I'm Not claiming i " Know it all " , but, I am claiming a high degree, of Scriptural Accuracy . ( Because , I pretty much Daily , like the Bereans , " Search the scriptures, to see if these things, are true . " ( see the book of " Acts " ) P.S. - This isn't " Arrogance " , it's - C O N F I D E N C E - , in God's Diligently Studied Word , for 37 years , so far . Please see Greek Scholar , RICK RENNER 'S Teachings, Free , on YOU TUBE . For L I FE - C H A N G I N G - Teaching , Diligently Study Ephesians 1 verses 13 to 20 ) & may God Bless You and Family .

Daniel 3:18 BUT IF NOT......They told the Kimg that their God can save them out of his hand and from the furnace. But if not, they still will not bow down. People expect to have their prayers answered according to their wants and if not, something is wrong in the relationship they have with the Father etc. thank you for your ministry.

Doing a heart check really is important. It's sad that many are intentionally deceiving; their end won't be well. Do they really think God doesn't see all? Excellent message, thank you.

    Thank you Mike for sharing this video! At first I wondered why New Age and Word of Faith movements were coupled together. I was really surprised how similar they are. I grew up with a lot of WOF teaching from my mom. I could never reconcile how Paul prayed for the thorn in his flesh to be removed and he was told no. The people Mom would listen to would say when praying for healing to not add “if it’s God’s will” because according to them, it’s always God’s will for anyone to be healed. I could never reconcile that either. It just did not sit well with me. Add to that their insistence one must speak in tongues because that’s the sign that you’re sealed with the Holy Spirit and that you’re truly a believer and I couldn’t do that, I seriously questioned my salvation for a number of years. Thankfully in college, I had a friend go through a Bible study with me that showed me I can have assurance about salvation and that I don’t have to rely on works. Around that time, I was reading an Elisabeth Elliot book where she quoted her brother, I think it was, where he said, “A text without a context is a pretext for a proof text.” and that has really stuck with me as I read and study the Word. It’s a good reminder to not cherry pick verses and cobble them together to make a theology, but rather consider the whole counsel of God. I love my mom and I’m as reasonably certain as one can be that she is a believer (we’ve had countless discussions on salvation and what it means to be saved), my heart is just grieved that she’s still holding tightly to these WOF preachers. My dad has recently come to faith in the past year and I’ve been praying he won’t get sucked into their teaching. I can’t tackle the WOF issue head on with her. That will just lead to a fight, but the best I can do is to ask questions and share different things I’ve learned, gently, to be pebbles in her shoe, to get her thinking more Biblically.
    Anyway, thank you Mike, not just for this video, but for your ministry. It has blessed me and helped equip me and my husband, too as we are apart of a team at our church that will launch an apologetics ministry.

      There is no link between the WoF and New Age. WoF teaching holds to all of the essential doctrines of the faith that New Age rejects. WoF affirms the authority of Scripture. WoF teaching rejects reincarnation, astral projection, astrology, transcendental meditation, crystal healing ... etc. When WoF people say that it's always God's will to heal, that's based on the understanding that physical healing was provided for us in the Atonement. Why would God provide it for us if healing isn't His will? Whether you agree with WoF teaching or not it's factually wrong to suggest that it's essentially New Age.

    I was raised "Catholic" and am an ex New Ager so I was very confused for a long time..received Christ at 23(Im 33 now) but didnt understand what that meant, didnt start really studying Scripture intensely until a few years ago. I prayed and yearned for SO LONG for understanding. So, end of last year I felt God whisper to my heart "If you want to understand my Word, read the whole thing front to back" that was like March or February 2019, and Ive become addicted to reading His Word and Ive learned SO MUCH (Im currently in 1 Corinthians).
    Anyway, you guys a few weeks ago and I am refreshed and encouraged by you guys, and your passion for Scripture and your knowledge. You definitely have a gift of teaching. You've taught me so much. Ive been binging Mikes videos .
