I’m just going to guess that this is a joke
Fantastic work! Thank you. I had to mute the music
Awesome video, it would make a good Christmas ornament.
Hi. I would like to know where I can get the tiger drawing that you use as a guide.
Cheers
Another wonderful beginners video...Thanks!
Cool video would love to carve this Tiger someday!
Amazing work! You are very inspiring
Really enjoy it.
friend, where I can find those templates that you stick to the wooden blocks, to guide and carve the figures. thanks for that great contribution. Congratulations from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain.
Loved it
Hi man keep the work up
Thanks, will do!
Do you need much pressure. I’m wondering if my wood is a dud like cos I struggled hard with even peeling it off, bass wood, but the log in the forest green wood was fine. I’m curious as to if you Make it look easy haha or if I’m shit
We use basswood cos it's softwood and it's easy to work with. In addition, we use razor-sharp tools that help us as well to cut wood like butter. You might overdry basswood. That's why you might have problems working with it
Yeah I've had plenty of problems with basswood in the past myself. Its said to be a soft wood but I've used brand new flexcuts right out of the box that were razor sharp and the bass wore them down like I was scraping them on the road.
Everytime I've used bass it's like a brick. I take a freshly fallen green maple branch and I can carve all day
@@tombryan720 that’s great to know, il be honest it put me right off 😪 thought I was that bad that I couldn’t even cut bass wood haha ! Maybe I need to source something different
@@BexEtcArt if you watch joe on the carving shop channel he uses a lot of butternut but that's kind of expensive. Sinnet sticks is a great carving channel and he never uses bass for any of his insanely awesome walking sticks so, i guess it works for some but notta big fan of bass
Me gustaria tener los dibujos, para hacer, los tallados, de favor.

Can you make a tutorial for a cross with a crown of thorns on it?
Thanks, Andrew. We'll take it into account
I just ordered a begginer's carving kit, and was wondering how often you had to sharpen the knifes?
Glad that you will try woodcarving! The frequency of sharpening a knife depends on the type of wood you are working on. Sometimes the knife needs to be sharpened almost every hour and in another case, the knife can be sharpened only after many hours of work.
Bit late, but if you strop the knife every 30 minutes or so it'll stay razor sharp for a very long time. Just 5-10 passes on each side will do.
Thank you for the info!!

Great Video, Question, I suffer from mild arthritis in my left hand. I want to start simple wood carving, think it's possible? Also what wood do you recommend?
We recommend you to try basswood as it's softwood. As for the tools, you need to use razor-sharp tools, so it will be easy to work with. As for the first wood carving project, we recommend carving a spoon. Look at this spoon carving kit: bit.ly/34G5Rk0 All the tools are razor-sharp and everything is included in the kit, except wood. Or if you're from the USA, you can try this spoon carving kit with basswood spoon blank: amzn.to/2Yg8K94

Not sure what wood to use.
Kiln dried bass is like carving a rock
We use dry basswood and it works great 😁
