I love my Kobalt 80-volt brushless 10" Chain Pole Saw with a 5ah battery. It works great on my southeast Louisiana farm that a hurricane went through and trashed all the trees in the woods of my 20-acre property. Today I'll be cutting a 6-inch limb of a tree out front.

Lucas: I have a 12" Dewalt that I use. When it is too small I go to the Sthil. Always fun with the tractor. I have been hauling full buckets of wet gravel. Has never let me down. Take care and stay safe.

We love our Ryobi battery saws that sit in our UTE all the time. We reach for them first...then pull out the gas powered. So I agree with your experiment.

I have a worx and a newer dewalt 20v chainsaws. My cousins made quick work of a fallen tree and limbs with both of them. Its amazing what yu can accomplish with a little patience. With these little saws, thats what it takes. I wish you all go towards Lexington, one day. I'd love to meet you all and let you see my little homestead & my little bx with all my mods. GOD Bless.

I just bought the same saw and was telling myself I couldn't go pick up these two foot wide pieces of an old elm tree. Maybe I can, I'm just new to chainsaws and would rather continue to be able to count to 10 with my fingers. Any tips?

I’ll just be honest, while I’ve ran a saw a lot, I am not the man to give you the best safety advice. I’d say check out a safety tips video on YT before going out and wear safety gear. I usually wear a hard hat with a face shield and some chaps when I’m doing serious cutting. Best of luck to you! You can do it.
