I would like to thank you first for your time and video it's help me to replace my rear brakes in Australia Sydney thank you bro
You are welcome thanks 😊
Best DIY video I've seen regarding Nissan/Renault brakes! Thank You!
Great vid, happy to do mine tomorrow
Brilliant job Mr Khan!
Thanks for your appreciation. Please like share and subscribe my channel. Thanks
If you don't use a diagnostic tool, just simply apply 12v to motor terminals. That is the easy way.Cheers
Thank you for the video. I'm going to do my friend's Nissan brakes soon and was wondering if I need to get a rewinding tool. It is so nice that I can remove the motor and don't need any extra tool, just something to push the piston straight. Good to know. Thank you again!
You are welcome thanks 😊
Excellent work. I will recommend everyone 👌
You are welcome thanks 😊
Worked a treat, only took about an hour to do both sides.
Well done 👏
Great video! I’ve just done the rear pads and discs on a 2014 Qashqai and this helped a lot 👍
Thanks 😊
If you're replacing your own brake pads, chances are the vehicle is a few years old and the torx bolts on the motor will be corroded. This method wasn't possible for me. I found that applying 12v to the motor terminals was the only way to retract the handbrake.
Great bro stay blessed 🙌
My pleasure 😊
Thanks for the video, are the epb motors 'handed' ie to rewind them is it left hand thread one side, right hand thread the other?
Yes when u turn it u will see which way to turn to rewind the piston.
You make it looks so simple. Just one question is the procedure the same on a 2019 Qashqai . Thank you so much...
Yes it is same on 2019
Hi buddy you winding clockwise inside caliper before pushing it back
Great job sir helped a lot
Thanks dear.
Did you had the ignition on and parking brakes off? Or the opposite? Thank you for the video
Ignition off and hand brake off.
Thank you
Thanks a lote.....🙏
You are welcome
Excellent video thanks
Thanks 😊
cool
Good video very easy to follow…once you’ve changed brake pads on cars with electric hand brake do you need any sort of computer to reset any sensors etc does anyone know??
No really. It should adjust itself when u engage it and then disengage it few times
Thanks for answer very helpful great helpful videos also please keep them coming….👍
You are always welcome
If like me the torx screws are worn on the rear of motor, use a 9v battery to rewind the motor
Do you have electric handbrake On or Off when you start this job ? Thanks
Off
Salaam brother
Very nice video MaShaAllah.
Where is your workshop located or you do Mobil service. Please advise thanks.
Thanks for your support. I work as a mobile mechanic.
What is the name of that tool you used to push the piston back? Is there an alternative way to do it - push the piston back. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Rear brakes tend to be on a screw that the hand brake rotated to push the piston out so a "brake rewind tool" is best although I've managed a few with needle nose pliers and turning it by hand front ones just a G clamp pop the old brake pad in and clamp the piston back in tends to be faster just remember to not twist or pull on the flexible brake hose and dont pinch the rubber seal around the piston and you can't really go wrong if your unsure ask for help
Hi guys. I followed this amd worked a treat but i now have a parking light flashing on my 2017 quashqua. The handbreak works but doesnt automatically. What do you think has caused this? Thanks all
It might needs a recalibration
Via diagnostic machine
U literally are the best 👌 👍, u save me $500bucks buddy
Thanks 😊
HEEEELP.
I did as you said, everything, poing by point, but my piston does NOT go back, no matter how hard I press. I unwinded the motor as you said, but nothing, seemes stuck.
I think it is because the circuit is in pressure, what can i do?
Did u discount the electric motor.
It could be to do with piston too much Rusty inside
@@diykhan no, i made it using a different tecnique mentio ed in anorher video, but i guess it is better if you to tell people how to disengage the handbrake first.....if you don't do it, it is impossible to remove the caliper
Can you push the piston back with the motor on it?
On it will damage the motor
Thanks for your response@@diykhan
You can rewind the piston with top level diagnostic machine aswell. You go into the brake pad replacement or service option n thats where it gives you option to rewind or reverse the caliper pistons electronically. Good luck
i unfortunately do have the diagnostic tool so will go with this method@@diykhan
@@marcusg500 ok best wishes
Silly question is this the same as a Renault Kadjar 2016 with EPB and is it better to do both sides of vehicle before reconnecting the parking brake?
It should be same and I would do one side first then go on to the other.
Thanks DIY Khan
I’ve just done mine and now I’m getting a flashing handbrake light and can’t work out why that is. Any ideas? I’ve bleed the brakes just in case it was that and it’s still there.
Have to apply handbrake few times.
Seems like the piston is stuck at the rewind position
There is video on you tube. After replacing brake pads. Flashing lights.its normal. But you need to do something. If find the video I will send you link
I have a qashqai j11 e hand brake won’t release any ideas what to do car is stuck at school
Have you checked the Fuses. Does it make noise when u press the release button.
Was handbrake on or off!! Cheers gonna try mine tomorrow
It was off.
How do you take handbrake off and it stays off!! I’ve got kadjar! Be same won’t it!! All same
Yes hopefully its going to be same nissan renault parts.
👍🏻👍🏻
My pleasure 😊
You can see he has put grease on pad with his hands and put it like that on the disc on the inner one :))
I did clean the grease left on the discs with brake cleaner.
excellent video thanks
You are welcome thanks 😊
