I can tell you accurately that moving into this house, between normal utility cost, property upkeep and property taxes the house alone is going to eat the first 50,000 dollars of your annual income. Weather, insects and normal wear and tear are all going to require substantial investments of not just money but tremendous amounts of time and energy.
The place is just sad. Can you imagine being on your own in that place.......it needs people, and staff and therefore would be better as a hotel or even better a hostel. The taxes on that place must be huge, so making a loss on it.....give it to charity for the homeless, women’s shelter anything but stagnation.
Exactly. To see something this beautiful and to think that it may end up deteriorating for lack of care. 2 mil is a steal. Especially for all this house had to offer. Landscaping wasn't as bad as expected for 8 years abandonment. For the most part only damage I saw was in the gym and theatre area, but both of those are detrimental because it's water damage. Hate to see this place in a few years, spray painted, looted and in ruins when it could have been put to good use.

You guys need to carry respirator masks in case you encounter mold. Don't hang around in those rooms! Black mold can cause permanent neurological damage!
As long as you dont snort it, you'll be fine. It's when dumbasses go into a horrific building and stir up mold spores from rummaging thru stuff, that's when you can actually breath in the dust. Must wear a respirator around places like that. Here, house is not like that.
Actually that is a misconception. Yes mould can cause illness but you must be exposed to it and breathing in the spores. We breathe mould with every breathe every day, if you have a mould issue that is black mould as people refer to it as over 10 square feet and you are doing a tear out your going to need protection and complete a mould remediation. Just walking through a home that’s fairly clean and unoccupied you are not going to breathe in any mould you weren’t before entering.
I am watching and thinking about how much can be done with places like this. It makes me sick that some people are so rich that places like this aren't even worth their time. :( Nice video though ;)

@Michele Theriault work? She , Kate Hudson was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, only reason got any notoriety is because of her famous parents! I thought there might be an interesting story here as I usually could care less about people in Hollywood, especially since they follow lucifer and sell their soul for riches and fame...nothing to glamorize there!
It does seem like a waste, but you can also look at it in another way. That is, in fact, spreading the wealth like it should be done. A wealthy person spends a ton of money building that place. The number of jobs created in so many areas to build that place, and all the other hardware to put into it. I was a Scissor lift back in a closet in the basketball court. A company had to make that. The bowling alley, some other company made. All that crap, hundreds of companies and thousands of workers were used to build and stock up that house with everything. If course a big old place like that also means high property taxes to be paid. You're not going to put homeless people here for a number of reasons. That's just laughable and this place would be a dump in no time flat and then they would all be kicked out as it would be unsafe. Kate Hudson I'm sure is living in some other HUGE place and spreading her wealth there. This place shouldn't be left abandon to rot. It's still in really good shape. The black mold in the Basketball court can be cleaned up. The seats in the theater replaced. The TV screens around the place and other things can be updated. Why not sell for say 2 million? Better than rotting away to be worth nothing. Another million to repair and update the place. This, of course, creates more jobs for many people. Then to take care of the place, you'll need to hire a couple people to work there full time. I think at least that one small room door stairs looked like it could have been for 1 staff person. So that's a few more jobs created, plus property taxes continuing to come in. All the furniture you need to fill that place back up, that is made by a bunch of other people. The rich are buying high-end stuff, not cheap crap. This is really how you need to look at it.

@veronica carlson Your comment is the best example of victim blaming and /or victim shaming I've seen in quite some time. That's not to say that the situation you've described never occurs, but to insinuate that this type of behavior and outlook by the homeless is the norm, well, frankly I don't believe it.
@veronica carlson i seriously thought my fiance was lying to me when he told me this! He's from Orange county California and one of our apartments in Nashville had a train that ran behind it and it was a very expensive apartment complex but homeless would sleep under the bridge to hop on the train. He explained that a lot chose to be homeless. Like the rvs at Walmart and stuff! I really asked a ton of people if he messing with me but totally true!
@veronica carlson Veronica Carlson, it's really ironic that you're giving me a lecture about volunteering with the homeless. I was homeless myself for FOUR LONG YEARS, without a shelter to go to, nor a car to sleep in. I'm an American who has lived in Italy for the past twenty one years and before two of my three children were kidnapped by my ex husband and brought to Italy (where I didn't see them from the ages of 6 and 7 until they sought me out at age 18), I had spent the first 40 years of my life as a member of the infamous 1%. My parents brought me up doing volunteer work from a young age and though most of it wasn't done with people who were strictly homeless, I did volunteer for five years, three full days a week, at GMHC (Gay Men's Health Crisis) in Manhattan and a small number of the people we helped were homeless. After my children were kidnapped, I came immediately to Italy to try to find them. Thinking it would be rather simple, I brought relatively little money with me. The way that my brother managed to steal my inheritance from me, thus leaving me penniless and homeless on the streets of Italy is a story that's way too long and circuitous to recount here. When I found myself homeless and penniless here, I had to (for the first time in my life) depend completely upon myself. During these four years I was kidnapped by a stranger, held in an abandoned camper for three days, raped violently and repeatedly and almost lost my life. As it is, I was fortunate enough to have gotten away with ONLY Hepatitis C, a detached retina and blindness in my right eye, and a lovely case of PTSD. Oh! I forgot the nice scar over my right eye that reminds me of the event every time I see myself in the mirror. I was lucky enough, during my first year of being homeless, to have found my true soul mate and the love of my life. The two of us then spent the next THREE YEARS being homeless, again with no car and no shelter. He wasn't even able to receive his government pension because he had no address. We spent many nights sleeping on a sleeping bag, spread out on the ground, under the overhang of the porch of a Catholic church. The priest asked us one morning, "Why don't you just go home? Why do you sleep here every night?" Kind of incredible, isn't it? We were finally assigned an apartment by the housing authority of the City of Milano, but that was only after we'd spent another five years living in a private community run by former Communist priests who had finally" come out" politically, after retirement. My twin soul /husband died on June 30th, 2016 of cancer, after a painful two year battle to beat it ended. He no longer has a life and I no longer have him to comfort me when I wake up screaming in the middle of the night from PTSD. So, Veronica, the next time you want to open your mouth to give someone (a perfect stranger, at that!) a lecture about "doing volunteer work at a homeless shelter", think twice about it. I suggest that you get down from your high horse and give some thought to the fact that you have no earthly idea to whom you're speaking here, nor do you have any idea about the personal life experience that your interlocutor may have had. In short, Veronica, you have a hell of a lot of nerve to tell me, of all people, to volunteer (or anything else for that matter!) when I'm now suffering with cirrhosis of the liver from the Hep C that my rapist gave me, PTSD, and a host of other physical and mental after effects of my four years on the street. Veronica, I guess what I'm really trying to tell you is to shut the f*ck up and pick your targets better. With me, after what I've lived through, it won't wash. Bitch!!

An abandoned house means just that, its ABANDONED,noone is paying a mortage, electric bill, water bill.etc.its abandoned. Someone is probably taking care of the grounds,so it looks like someone is living there to scsre off would be vandals, they also most likely bave lights come on at dusk and turn off at dawn. Most likely that pool is still being used, there is a pool cover on it, if you pulled the cover back and its crysta clear, someone is using it, if its green, then no one is using it. If that house goes to anyone, it should be Veterans who are homeless, they'd be grateful for a place like that, this place should NOT go to kids, because they'd have that place trashed in 5.2, an ADULT would take care of it.
Homeless veterans couldn't take care of it either, where would the money come from? This could be a facility for homeless ran by the state. But I agree. This house is beautiful. Someone still owns this but are probably never there. It looks too nice and clean to be abandoned. I wanna know how these kids find these places though.
The black mold is such a hazard to health that no one can live in it. The gym has it so bad, that the rest of the house probably has it, too. There isn't really much that can be done without tearing it apart. Basically, the builders didn't do their job right so the black mold grew. Considering the cost of the house, the cost of tearing it down and rebuilding would be prohibitive.
Maybe you should ask THE BANK who owns the mortgage and/or title deed to the property whether THEY THINK it's 'abandoned'. That word indicates that ALL legal ownership has been forfeited .. and I guarantee you that SOMEONE (or some financial entity) has possession of the property's title, and therefore they control some type of ownership over it. You can't just claim that it's abandoned. You have to check every avenue, of course!

Another Hollyweird waste of money. Everything so disposable.

Bitch!!
Actually they tried to sell the property, but nobody wanted it.

What a waste! So many poor people in our country and people rich enough to just walk away from a place like that!
Who is to blame when Americans worship the vain rich people who think they have a right to tell you how to live and vote? Americans fatten their pockets by buying their stuff and just so the rich can build there houses on a hill and look down on you and make you into their subjects and worship them. They change their fucking underwear just like anyone else they aren't special.
@@Jude13able Only the stupid and vapid listen to their opinions. And, truthfully, only a small percentage are actually truly fine actors. The rest are adequate actors who got lucky by looking right, picking a movie to be in that unexpectedly made them stars (like Star Wars. No one expected that to be a big hit), had a great agent etc. Still doesn't give any of them the right to tell people how they should think or vote or live their lives. People who listen to them are just lazy idiots. Too slackarse to do their own research and too brainwashed to think critically.
Yeah no kidding

lol really
Well fuck you guys then 🤷🏼♂️
What was the movie this was filmed in??
I Love Kate Hudson’s movies, and Love this mansion. It’s gorgeous. The woodwork and rugs are beautiful. All the windows that allow the natural light in. It’s spectacular.
Hello
Stuff like this just pisses me off!! This is just a complete waste of resources and space!! There are homeless people out there that have no place to live, while houses like this all over the country lie empty!! Makes me mad to see stuff like this!!
Anyone else yelling at the screen when he slid down the slide. Haha he just showed the clip from the show where it was a slide to a pool. I definitely thought he was about to wind up in a pool 😂😂
Bethany Gayle When I saw how dry as dust that slide was, I calmed down a lil bit, lol...But I did think that something was gonna snatch him up😂😂
I so thought the same thing I was like you dumbass that leads to the pool LMAO
Same. Hahaha
Beautiful house, but why the clickbait title? The home was never owned by Kate Hudson.
Raven844954 Really?
Owned by studio. And Kate has better taste, more simple.
@Pete Darby filmed what?what movie
@@patriciarussell7487 I agree that this was never owned by Kate Hudson, but it was also never owned by a studio. It was just a rented location for the movie.
@Pete Darby when I made the comments was before I seen the clip at the end of movie scene. But he probably knew that it wasn't her house he just figured it would get people to watch it because that was the reason why I watched it
That coffee table was amazing. What a wasteful society.
Amazingly horrible.
Our society has nothing to do with anything. The majority are working class.......they dont leave abandoned mansions all over. They are our society. That mansion represents a tiny minority of ppl with more $$. I'm happy to be what I am. Let them have their stupid politics, divorces, mental illnesses and such.
I loved it! Very unique
@@lemankurtz8950 Yes it does rep the working class : who do you think. paid for it??? Who do you think supported the "actors" career. Working class wastes their life for this through supporting movies / products that hollyweird promoted which supports this lifestyle...so many people also will say this wasteful lifestyle is gross but will go right back into society judging others who they see are not "well off" = "important".
@@marleyg2850 Okay.....I think maybe you have a good point in there, but your subject is off. This is a video of an abandoned mansion.....where ONE piece of a movie was shot. Most of these urban-exploration vids are of Large, abandoned houses......Not HOLLYWEIRD houses as you put it. This house has about as much to do with Hollywood as You or I.......see what I was saying now? Also, I'm not sure how many working class ppl like the ones I know, support anything coming out of Hollywood, especially in the last 4 years or so. Have a good one.
Why do celebrities buy this huge places when they don’t even stay there! If I had a house like that I wouldn’t go out at all!
I love that movie “Clear History” it came out in 2013, which means they filmed there in about 2012. A lot has changed in 7 years!
If it were my home I’d have Vets & abandoned pets live there with me and everyone would have to not only help keep it clean but to help the pets as well via nurture them back to health it’ll be a two way situation there 😀 and help get the fur babies adopted off 😀 and we’d be watching movies 😜😀 I’d be in the swimming pool every day
Please win the lotto and make this happen. I live down the road from this mansion. I would love to see it put to good use!!❤

Anyone noticed the house is freak clean. Like someone come to clean up
Well neglectet is not abandoned it has owners all the garden hedges are still cut in shape its cleaned inside. The windows are clean evrywhere no cobbwebbs anywhere. If you have a lot of small dammages and lost allready monney its normal, those indoor pools filled with water destroy woodfloors and furniture. Indor pools are a monneypitt.
Well, they should get the mold out of it. You can obviously see it is all over the theater seats and in the books. So, that does make some people think it is abandoned. And banks that own abandoned houses and/ or the cities that do keep the grass cut so you really cannot tell by the hedges and grass being clipped.
How come people, leave a lovely place like this abandoned. So much could be done to this place. Rich people dont care. This could be open up for the homeless. Dont let such a lovely place rott.
Great video, thanks for showing us.
Lovely?????
I absolutely love this place!... and the furniture left to rot in there, I couldn't even afford ONE piece of it! It makes me sick it's all being destroyed... no respect! 😤😢
How’s it being destroyed when there’s not even a spec of dust on it there’s no even cob webs for an abandoned house 🤷🏽♀️

This wasn't Kate Hudson's home. It was built by John Nugent and then sold when his kids grew up. It's in Andover, Mass., according to multiple sources including the Wall Street Journal.
Facts dude lies in the video and said we're in Florida. Smfh. They are in Andover freaking liars
Not totally abandoned as it is clean with no dust and in order apart from the gym and theatre .
Yes, that's what I don't understand. Abandoned but do dust, spider webs, rats. No theft, vandalism. No alarm!
Mold everywhere, and animal crap in the gym.

What a cool house I'd definitely live here with a new paint job and some tlc it would b perfect
It's full of black mold!
Production note** When entering a dark room turn the Light on the camera to the ON position.
I wouldnt buy it for even 1mil. When you can see black mold, you can bet those spores are throughout that entire house. They float and cling and spread like the plague. That means the entire place would need to be a tear out. Every single wall. That would cost more then the house will ever sell for...
yup. big water issues in this place. bedroom floor is jacked, theater seats and floor are jacked. red flags
You can fix all that. Just because there isn't visible mold doesn't mean there isn't mold in the air. How did the mold get there in the first place? You are correct, that it would take a lot of money. The real problem is moisture.
Lye sole , bleach, and kills work wonders, but mold does say it has a leaking roof and that will destroy this place in a short time UGH
Meanwhile 50,000 homeless on the streeets of Los Angeles
I live in San Francisco in a van because rents so high and this is just ridiculous
Yeah, The American dream!
So much unnecessary stuff. Like bowling alleys and water slides seem like a great idea until you realize maintenance is a full time job. It would be impossible to relax in this house. It would be an endless process of maintenance and repairs.
Ross B. I feel like if they can afford all the cool stuff they can afford to hire people for maintenance
Your right! nonstop money. Can you imagine what a new roof would cost. If there's black mold damn that's crazy money to clean up, even in a small house
May be unnecessary to you but not to other people. Just because it doesn't work for you doesn't make it wrong.
That's SO SAD! with so many homeless and poor people living on the streets. I am NOT saying that is anybody's fault. Live is just so ironic. 😪😔😢 I think is an excellent place for rehab people.
Kate Hudson isn't responsible for the homeless. It's her property to do with as she sees fit; not yours, not mine.... And do you HONESTLY think that home could even begin to make a dent in the plight of the homeless? No. It's a shame it's sitting there empty but it's not my place to police and manage the private PERSONAL property of others, nor is it yours. Find something REAL to be offended by; not by what somebody else chooses to do with her own private finances.

Yes the people that make these videos say they take nothing. That it’s just documenting. Yeah ok. As long as the camera is running. 🙄
These guys either didn't cover it or didn't notice it when they were there but that house has seen some flooding / weather damage. Water damaged floors in the lower level: theater, single room across from theater, remote closet. Room before the attic looked like the floor was torn up or recently replaced.
Imagine being a teenager living there in its heyday. Definitely the house all the friends talked about.
Urbex and Chill?? More like Break and Enter!!
No way that’s abandoned.
@@debbieballard7369 This house isn't in Florida as the camera man claims. It's in Andover, Massachusetts. His blatant attempt at saying "Miami makes sense because we are in Florida" was trying to cover his ass for breaking and entering. The video itself (Boston Celtics tickets and logos of schools in the Massachusetts area on the gym walls) plus a quick Google search can give you all of the information. This property is definitely vacant at the moment but most certainly not abandoned, even if it's bank owned. The records were updated by the owner with realtor.com on 6/11/2019 and anybody can see that information, it's shown right on the home's former listing page. It is currently off the market at the moment, but was last listed for 2.9 million in 2017. I would assume the black mold problem and high property taxes ($34,000/year) make this house a hard sell.

That's perfect! Everything for fun & party. I want it. If I ever win the lottery, its mine. Great exolore!!
Imagine the utility cost and taxes. I would never want to live in something this big. I want to live my life and not work to pay bills and taxes. Give me a small home with little utilities and taxes and I'm better than the rich and Uber extravagant that live in mansions. I laugh at them.
The wealthy don't worry about little things like taxes and utilities.. so who's laughing now?
Urbex and Chill, At 3:33 you were guessing that the furniture was there for the agent & perspective buyer would sit there to talk and chill. Furniture in rooms of a house for sale is called "staging". It helps the perspective buyer see how various furniture would fit, also gives a 'homier' look to a place.
People would rather their places rott than donate!! Its sickening!!
Shooting Star and who donates for the maintenance, taxes, utilities, repairs, and insurance?
makes me wanna cry. what a world we live. says a lot about hudson to just want to leave it vacant. donate for a kids place, runaways maybe, anything than leave it empty. sad. ashamed to be human. I truly am.
Black mold is horrid. Illegal to sell the house until irradiated! Awful!
@@dontthinkso8533 Sadly you did not see the BLACK MOLD everywhere. It will kill you! Once it is bigger than the size of a small bathroom the whole place has to be remediated, roofs, walls, and floors redone, etc. Veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy expensive job and costs involved not to mention many don't want to do it due to how bad it will make you sick and that all of the furniture, curtains and beds would have to be burned and no longer useful nor can they keep. A lot of homes like his won't sell and the owners have to write it off due to mold. These are EVERYWHERE in every income. When you get some jacked up( lazy )builder you have issues like this. Ive lived in a home with black mold and it can be as bad as lyme Disease and compare and will make you deadly sick and even cause cancer. I now have asthma and copd.
9 times out of ten it was so bad the bank took it and they are the ones who leave these sitting like this and cause it because they will NOT repair a thing. Just saying. Sad but very true.
This house is from the 80's. The floor plan is so weird and the rooms are either way to big or too small. The master bedroom feels like it could be a living room if it had high ceilings and was on the first floor.
How are they getting into all these million dollar homes without going to jail?
Just pick up the doormat at the front door and the door key will be there, or under a flower pot, fake rock, etc. There's nothing more predictable than stupid human's behavior pattern. That being said my money is on someone having given them the key and alarm code to "explore this abandoned mansion". Check if there's foods in the kichen fridge/freezer to know for sure. Abandoned my butt.
