I just looked at some of my old art a few days ago and it made me smile. I don't have a whole lot of my old art because it got destroyed so I treasure the pieces I do have. I refuse to spend a lot of time on TikTok especially the art side because those people are vicious. At least on IG the few people I do reach are all really kind. Though I know there are still toxic people on there as well.
at the end of the day, what would help all of this is kids being less online. Most of the folks fostering this kind of cruelty are usually pretty young, often middle schoolers. And middle schoolers are notorious for being incredibly cruel and apathetic in a lot of ways, along with falling into "us vs. them" mentalities. If you're a young learning artist, don't seek validation for your art online. Show your friends, family, and people who might be interested in real life. Ideally, the healthiest thing to do is to stay off social media to be honest.
@@StrawberryNova yeah people really just need to be nicer, and generally fostering healthy behaviors is incredibly important on social media. Empathy needs to be commonly shown and applied way more than it currently is right now.
we're just primed for outrage and its what gets views so most social media is there just to make you mad and engage with the site, so now we got all these people piling on each other like its the norm, I am considering finally making a tik tok just to get some infamy but I doubt i'll be that lucky or able to take the negativity if I do get up there
@@DeathnoteBB genuinely i have no idea WHY that's the phrase that caught on - personally I think it's ridiculous - but I guess it's supposed to be "lore" about the community because it becomes part of the background of and about the community maybe? Regardless, it's frustrating.

Oh, definitely, but I'm glad looking back on your old work makes you smile! That's important! 😊
TikTok art lore just makes me sad ngl. It’s so depressing.
@@CreativaArtly it really is, it can be so frustrating
Art lore is a insult for art community.
@@julied7546 I agree!

Certainly agree to a particular extent. I will say though that it definitely won't hurt people to learn to be nicer

@@Gamingpandacat I don't blame you, but I personally prefer to avoid it.
i liked art before it was dramatic.
that’s rather sad.
I wish it still wasn't dramatic
So art “lore” is just regular toxic crap? How is it lore?
