This is way its supposed to sound. The new band plays it like a metal song, very heavy to the point where you can't even hear the guitar picking notes in the intro.... SO sad!
One of the guitarists is out of tune and it sounds terrible here. Bug Hugo's voice is killer. Too bad drugs ruined his career. Saw them last year in a firehouse and it was sad.
Actually this was from early on the touring of the debut record, like 2 months in. This performance isn't bad, but Todd's choice of that particular Parker guitar was a very bad one as they were known for tuning issues. I hope their tech was fired for letting him go out on national television with an out-of-tune guitar. Furthermore, Todd's writing style isn't tailor wrote for Hugo's voice, that's just his style of playing/writing. Nothing wrong with Hugo's vocals either, this is how he always sounded live. People are just ignorant to think that everyone with a baritone voice is trying to be Eddie Vedder. Scott Stapp took the same crap despite the fact that he wasn't a Pearl Jam fan and was actually copying Jim Morrison of the Doors.
@@solacematt Why do you say it's out of tune? I've been playing since I was 12 and it sounds fine to me. He's playing with alot of effects, namely a delay/echo and maybe that's why you think it's out of tune but I can assure you it's NOT out of tune. There is no way that a professional guitar tech would allow that to happen!
@@user-zx1ir7jt4c I have seen one live performance where his guitar was out of tune, maybe on Conan O'Brien? Sounds like it's pretty in tune during this one.
@@solacematt back in those early touring days he used to beat the living shit out of those guitars live and would often over the course of a song knock them out of tune I wasn’t around for this Version of the band I toured with them for several years in the later lineups
i miss those days of music. the 90s and early 2000s.
70’s 80’s 90’s and early 2000 best times for music period..
10/2023
You have to see these gentlemen live. Hugo. Jon. Eric. Chris . Talent. Lyrics. Siund. Energy. Tantric brings it!
The REAL Tantric
Baritone voice was huge in the late to early 2000s
Travis Meeks created Tantric by firing everyone.

Original Tantric please come back. Those first two albums are underrated gems. That third album needs to be released
Love them before the drugs
Matt Taul, such a great drummer.
Love this band. 😍
This song (and album) is still on regular rotation for me. All time classic!

@@solacematt Would've been better off with a Telecaster or something imo.
