Once broke in,dead stop on an incline it just keeps accelerating which is great. I weigh 240 lbs and average about 108 mpg doing speeds 45 mph or less on my routine riding. Currently have about 3,000 miles on my 2022 Honda ADV 150.👍
Nice rig! Reminds me of the time I rode my Honda Elite CH250 from Idaho to Seattle in about 4 hours, pegged all the way. hahaha The dirty little secret no one dares admit to is that scooters are some of the most comfortable two-wheeled tourers on the road. Gorgeous scoot you got there...congrats!
Sweet bike. My first was the Honda Click/Vario 125. Then the Honda Pcx 160. The Adv 150 was also one that I was droolin about. I've packed some horn, auxiliary light, mirrors, muffler alloy top case and worked some upgrades with the cvt. Small displacement motorcycles are versatile. The Honda Adv 150 has the most beautiful lines in a scooter.
Mine definitely has!! I’m pushing 2K miles on it so far and I got it back in April. He’s 100% right about the break in period lol she will get up and go after the first 500-600. I use it to commute to work, so I don’t really “travel” on it, but I’m getting ready to mod her out. Definitely getting a bigger windshield since the one it comes with is awful, but I just want to customize the fairing a little, get some hand guards, new mirrors, def a luggage rack, and even put on some crash bars just in case. She’s a great scoot!!!
You could install a Windshield Extender to fix the issues with the mirrors touching the windscreen in low position, as well as the GPS vibrating when mounted on top of the LED read out, It has a place for attaching your GPS mount
I just bought the same rear rack off of Amazon. Took a while to find it. Cost me about $240.00. Hopefully, the bolt pattern matches up OK. I was going to get one of the cheaper $130.00 racks but after seeing your video, I changed my mind. I totally forgot about using the handles for setting the center stand! I would've gone through two or three of the other racks before going through one of these! I have a Kemimoto bag that is large enough to store a helmet when expanded but the take is that you can't lock it up and it isn't as waterproof as yours without a rain fly. Thanks for the tips my Yakima brother! I live in Coeur d'Alene so I am setting mine up for forest service roads as well!
I've been searching to find this same rack via google, ebay, and amazon and have come up empty handed. The rack he shows here looks almost perfect in design and build. You said you found the same exact model on Amazon. Would appreciate if you would provide a link. Thanks!
The Garmin Zumo GPS series are excellent. Even though I have built in NAV on my GoldWing, having the additional Zumo 595LM has been incredibly versatile. The new XT is super sleek. Good stuff! Smart solution for the trunk. I like that.
Really cool bike. I have a Burgman 400 that gets 60 mpg and a Honda Monkey that gets 125 mpg. I really want an ADV150. If they bring the 350 to the US I might sell both of them both and get one.
Cool vid sir. I recently picked up bone stock 21’ ADV150 with 232 miles on it. Owner didn’t ride it. I’ve been contemplating on a rear storage options and presently went with a $120 RhinoWalk 40-60L rear top bag because didn’t want to purchase a hard case or rear rack and the mole straps and semi tactical functionality appealed to me .There’s also different sized RhinoWalk side “saddle” bag options in the $125 range or you can go with Nelson Rigg name brand. I like the Harbor Freight case but it’s kinda small if you ever want to scooter camp. The Garmin looks amazing but I just Ram Mount my phone for navigation and everything else for simplicity. As for the front wind screen I ordered the Puig light smoke off Amazon for $70. It’s a great improvement and name brand aftermarket high quality product with no mirror interference. Bottom line I here’s are now more options than when this vid was made. I’ve noticed more ADV bikers using waterproof soft bag options now and they are more versatile vrs a hard case. Again it’s a matter of preference
That windshield is absolutely it. Looks good down for around town, and does the job up. Great find. If the mirror extenders were clocked about 45deg back towards you riding, would that fix the clearance issue? 🤔 Cool setup. I like it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for posting. I really like some of these mods, and videos on stateside mods for this bike are few and far between. Please consider posting links to the items you've purchased. That is one sweet looking rack which I intend to purchase. Can't recall if you've discussed previously, but does your full-face helmet fit under the seat? If mine won't, I'll have to go with a larger box on the back, but I really like the looks of a thinner profile box such as yours. Hoping my ADV 150 will be arriving soon. Giving all the shipping challenges, I intend to wait until delivery until I spend more $ and start ordering mods. Like and subbed.
Hi I bought a new 2022, I would like aleast a 250cc. I also put 800 Miles, my tune ups are at 1000miles , 1 quart for 10.00 deal. That covers the oild change and rear axle.
these videos are great. my next stop is thailand where they make these motorbikes & there are some excellent upgrades. for mirrors the honda winner x mirrors also work, they are wider & lower then the ADV's & are direct swap.
I do not like tinted shields, especially for any offroad at all! Maybe very light smoke tint ,but definitely not dark tint.but dam does it look good lol! But i do plan on getting this windshield, but iam going to get bar end mirrors, i planning on getting bar end mirrors anyway regardless of the windscreens, and iam going to get the ram mounts that screw in the stock mirrors threads, win win, love the mirrors threads location for mounts.
Thanks for sharing. Really liking the mods. Have you found the case on the rear rack is deep/tall enough. Just wondering if they might make one that's taller for more storage?
I ordered a rack for back from Amazon. It costs around 100$ and will be here from China in less than a month. I'll send to Philippines where I'll use on my new ADV there..
I got similar mirror extenders. Gold anodized. But they faded. No worries.. I have a bottle of black paint if it comes to that. On scooter touring..I have gone on several trips of over 2000 miles and lots of day trips of 80 to 500 miles. My best joke was the Harley guy in Texas who asked how I got my scooter to Texas from Iowa. "Uh..I ride it." NO! You can't ride that far on a250!
Noice ride Brother ! May I ask why you chose the dark windscreen ? I got a full touring GIVI screen, clear, on my Burgman 400. Fyi, I ride local & regional in East Texas with my 2 tours being to NW Arkansas for "Scoot the Ozarks" and later to San Diego for my HS reunion. Epic effort considering my newbie status. The dark tint doesn’t really serve much purpose other than keeping sun glare off the instrument cluster sometimes. There really aren’t too many options for the ADV, so I went with the one that looked the best to me.
@@GasWorksISO Right on it makes sense. I'd guess your looking over it, not thru it. On my GIVI I'm looking thru it at all times. So that's a different application altogether. Basically I'd crash on the first turn were mine dark tinted.
I put in a Mallossi variator and lighter Rollers and didn’t care for it. I am going to switch back to stock although I read if you do a variator, you should use Dr Pulley sliders with it.
As always a very interesting presentation ! May I ask you to give me the name / model of the kind of support of the Garmin GPS. Thanks a lot for your great videos, it represent quiet an amount of work! Pascal
Another question: With regards to wind deflector; if you've done twilight or night rides on the ADV 150, have you found the smoke or darkened tint obscures your road view in front of the bike? I like the looks but am concerned that the dark tint might prove to be a hazard avoiding road hazards, potholes, etc. immediately in front of you when riding at night.
I have the honda pcx 150 and just bought a windshield for it and I got the clear windshield because I was thinking like you that it would be hard to see through at night.
@Jim Tinter I just recently found, ordered, received, and installed this rear rack on my ADV 150. I had to order from a shop in Thailand. The base price was incredible ($51.52) but the shipping not so much ($115.08). Still, the overall price was a less than what was reported here. What you want to look/search for is a product called H2C kit or rack for the ADV 150. From my invoice, this is how it was listed: H2C KIT, REAR RACK, SKU#: H2C_APK0WFK77340TA. This is the same exact build as shown on this video. The quality and fit is excellent and it's plenty rugged. The shipping time wasn't bad ... about 10 days I believe.
For a mechanically disinclined idiot (like me), how easy/difficult was the installation the mirror extenders and the MNNTHBX ram ball mount? Any unexpected challenges or tricks? Thanks
Hi . Great Honda. I own a 2022 Honda adv150. It gets 77.1 miles per gallon. My issue with my Honda is the front tire pressure slowly deflates, should I take it to the dealership? Thanks.
I don’t own a scooter but am tempted. Although my wife would probably murder me in my sleep if I came home with a fourth bike in the garage. But I digress. Like any motorcycle tires, if you’re loosing a little pressure over time, that’s normal. Just keep an eye on it and fill as needed. If you have a leak, and your loosing a lot of pressure, I would have it serviced.
I get around 100-110 on mine. My Cammed Honda Grom gets around 160-180!!😱🤯. No idea how it does it. When the exhaust valve starts to tighten the gas mileage will start to go even higher. Stuck adjusting valves every 600 miles on that thing. Probably why I ride the ADv 150 everywhere. No work, just twist n go fun.
@@grominwithrob1339 Good to know the rpm's aren't max out at 6omph, with a few mods 70+ might be possible. I have yet to take the first ride on my ATV150 maybe in the next few days I'll go for a ride.

if that padlock rattles at all you could just put some heat shrink over the metal u-shaped part.
I love the idea of using an Apache case.

They have them all over the state of Washington. 👍

there's a kit out now that will let this do 75mph. there's performance videos on youtube for it.

These little scooters look pretty cool. But unfortunately our local highways have 75 mph speed limits.
I'd look into the suzuki burgman 400 in that case, 75mph should be no issue.
I'm curious what you'd think of the Yamaha Niken GT if you got to try one out.
Is your ground vision flawed from smoke windshield?🤔😊
