If you need another to try. I’m impressed with my Condor 18” that I got from Machete Specialists based out of Missouri. It’s a high carbon steel with a solid handle. Well worth the $68 bucks I spent a few years back.
Great vids! Appreciate your reviews. It would be fascinating to see your impressions of the large Fiskars Machete Axe (the one with the chopping head) and the Fiskars large Machete (w/o the chopping head yet with the five circular holes at the head), after you have sharpened each to your satisfaction and compared to the Gerber Bolo.
mannnnnn, gonna make me eat my words lol I was also going to recommend a condor in your future. I own a few of them. They are way different than a tramontina in that the blades are way thicker ... which means they are also very heavy (most are heavier than my hatchet even). You don't wanna have to swing a condor for very long lol
I looked into them but machete specialist is out of stock. It was tough spending 45 bucks on the Gerber bolo! I think I’ll just wait for condor to send me one for free 😂😂
It's not a hatchet it's a machete some things you use a hatchet for

I would absolutely love to swing a Condor Tool! Thanks man! I’ll check it out for sure.
Great review. Best I've found for the Gerber Gator Bolo
Thank you!
Good shit, dude. Been tossing up between this and the Gator. Australia thanks you for your wisdom
Great test. Looks like a good quality machete 😃👍
Thanks for watching!

There are quite a few more budget blades I’d like to cover before I jump in the deep end though.
@@soloproject99 condor prices have gotten kinda silly the last few years but imho the quality of the sheaths make me cry less :)
Only sharp knives are interesting and you definitely keep your knives sharp!
That being said, I don't mind a dullish knife at work🤕
What can I say? I like em sharp! 😂
Much better than the last offering from Gerber.
Finally!!!
@@soloproject99 Ikr!? Lol
Hmm, another unexpected bit of decency from Gerber. Between this and the Tramontina Bolo, which would you go with?
Tramontina hands down! You could get 3 for the price of one Gerber and I prefer a little more flex than Gerber had to offer.
Man your are awesome testing machetes and your so funny keeps the reviews coming
Thanks so much! Will do!
Gerber survived the fatwood challenge
I honestly wasn’t expecting it to. Pleasantly surprised though!
