What Deborah said was correct, she is not upset that she wasn't their first choice, but it was how they said that she wasn't their first choice. Dragons shouldn't be upset, or surprised, that people have preferred dragons.
It is clearly a oooh thats a nice idea thing you see on social media, but in reality you don't want to buy it - realistically, youd you want one for every sauce in your house? Cleaning must be a nightmare. Better would be bottles that are full silicone that you can just fill up and wash with ease.
That in itself says nothing. You need to spend money to make money. This episode aired at the end of Q1 2022 so it would be logical it needed some time to kick off after that. On the other hand, I doubt the deal even went through since no new shareholders have been registered. Also, there where 2 notices for compulsory strike-off earlier this year, albeit that both have been cancelled. I agree with the person above, it looks like a nice product, but it certainly is one I wouldn't want to own because cleaning would indeed be a nightmare...
For the dragons being such powerful business magnates, it always amazes me at how easily they get emotional. The guys doing the pitch were put on the spot and sure enough, they handled it poorly, but still
I think they have been instructed to be dramatic by the producers. If they really wanted to invest they would look past that slight, just like Deborah did.
I think this is a product where all the dragons would've brought something valuable. The product has the visual "show and tell" element that makes it great for social media and tv shop, where Sara and Steven can open doors. They need to get their manufacturing cost down (and maybe some London office spaces), Touker can help with that. Deborah has the drive and knowledge for eco products. And Peter has all the contacts.
Not every refusal after a slight is about EGO. What's this garbage about ego, ego everywhere?? Sometimes it's strategic to think... Hmm these guys talk before they think, might be dangerous hopping into bed with them on a 10 million pound deal... not everything is about EGO. Grow up!
touker should have shafted steven by under cutting their offers, instead of letting steve shaft everyone else with that question. He knew they needed him. Right at the end he should have offered all the money for 15% just to drag the other 3 down.
Infected Mushroom has an album named "Return to the Sauce," and you have to say it with a British accent to get the pun. Same pun in this video, loved it
Honestly that was pure tactical move from Steven to get the other dragons to be alienated and drop out, I dont think they should be able to ask that question because it’s unfair
If it were me, would’ve said i want all the dragons by mentioning what i want and refer to each one 😂 Like i want A for so reason , B for so , C for so, D for so . And smile 😅 Take that for an answer
Ironic how when discussing pitches the claim is “this isnt a friendship, this isnt about if we like you. The question is can I make a return on investment…. Then i see videos, and this isnt the first, where they go “you didnt name check me or stroke my ego right so im out” I get it was dumb to list 2….but the response was a bit overreaction
@chrisbarry9345 Thank you. I thought I was misunderstanding. I grew up with glass bottles and some food co-ops where you could refill them from bulk, but those days seem to be gone forever. Convincing modern manufacturers to change their packaging just seems nearly impossible
I'm at 9:36 of this video. I'm an everyday consumer who could not benefit from this product. Why would I need to buy this, since ALL of bottles come in plastic? If i ran a restaurant, and bought ketchup, mustard in bulk, then this product would be excellent.
Entrepreneurs often look for a certain Dragon(s), which, in my mind is no problem!! Why do the other Dragons get so annoyed? It has often happened in these circumstances before.
@2:14 A most notable moment occurred just before the entrepreneurs walked in, during a moment of pre-show chatter, was Peter’s nervous laughter in response to Steven’s remark, “I’ve seen bigger [sausages].”
Horrendous decision to name their favourite dragons! Talk about showing your hand. Literally one of the worst negotiating tactics you can do, clowns. Lucky they still got a decent deal in the end
September 2024 It seems the Company, Saucestream Limited, was Gazetted three times, but that this year compulsory strike off action was discontinued. I've never seen one of these accessories anywhere I've eaten, and I don't frequent The Savoy Grill😂 I've never seen on in a supermarket either. I wonder why nobody mentioned that there are already many variations of a plastic, washable and refillable sauce dispensers available, or that people are content to use glass bottles to dispense directly? That did seem to be obvious, even to my dog.

What I don't understand is that the sauce companies need to take up using glass for it to work.
They made Deborah speechless. That doesn't happen very often in the den. Peter saved the day for the entrepreneurs and he also involved deborah who clearly wanted to be part of the deal
Isnt it low key crazy how we’re all sitting here watching this bunch of rich ppl giggling and discussing how they charge us, average schmucks, 15$ for a product that costs them 3$ to make? Clown world.
I am so confused that they didn't immediately think deborah was their dragon considering the environmental part. I am also so confused that they DID think peter was their dragon ... coz sauce?!
I don't know why they put ketchup in long bottles which always leaves 10% smeared inside unable to be used. Would prefer a short jar with lid where you just use a spoon to take out what you need.
That was a really good deal for them to be honest, it's a odd product that they are never going to sell by themselves, so having 3 dragons backing it will really help
The Dragon's complain when you don't answer their questions honestly, unless it bruises their ego. 😂 They'd be dumb if they didn't expect entrepreneurs to have preferences.
Sometimes I question Steven Bartlett's sexuality with that naughty sausage joke at the start... Dont know why Deborah and Sara got so angry when in the Den, the entrepreneurs are normally asked what Dragon they want? If they had said Sara or Touker, Steven would have been FURIOUS! Peter would have been out the door if Deborah was chosen!
A much better eco idea would be something that supermarkets can use to allow people to refill existing squeeze plastic sauce bottles. Carting around heavy glass bottles of sauce is just adding to the problem
I don't get why the three dragons were wounded by who they wanted. Maybe the TV company uped the score, but really they have denied so many "Entrepreneurs" why then do they get hurt. At the end of the day It's a business financial transaction not a marriage.
That was pretty careless of them naming their preferred dragons whilst all are in.
I have said this for years!! Ill never understand why they answer that question when there are multiple dragons still in.
they could have gone about it in another way saying all dragons bring value in different areas.
Agreed, but my word considering they call themselves "dragons" they sure do have fragile egos.
Because they've got the negotiating skills of Jeremy Corbyn.
What Deborah said was correct, she is not upset that she wasn't their first choice, but it was how they said that she wasn't their first choice.
"you weren't even third Touker" brutal lol 🤣

The host should have thrown in this cheesy line: "Dragons may look big and mighty, but their egos are delicate like dandelion." 😛
the 2 x Entrepreneurs are a bit basic
They had almost 200k loss in 2022. Despite all the talk the product never seemed to have taken off.
So the great social media war lord failed to deliver? 😅 Shocker
It looks bulky, difficult to clean and according to D ultimately not earth friendly.

Steven really brought a fresh breeze on the Den. Such a productive negotiation
I would have rubbed in the missed opportunity of the last product lol
