@Undoctrinated I respectfully disagree: He wasn't using his shortcomings as a form of currency, or using a sob story for leverage, or making a victim of himself. I saw it as a success story. This guy had a problem (though I couldn't understand what he said about that) and he found a way to overcome it and in the process realized there was an avenue for profit. That's capitalism. I doubt that the dragons would have offered to invest on the basis of feeling sorry for the guy, they invest because they see profit. That profit has nothing to do with how the product line came about, the profit comes from market availability: potential customers aren't going to buy because they feel sorry for the founder of the company, they are going to buy because they want what the company has to offer.
I love how this show didn't belittle this man's BDD and make it into a "feel sorry for me" section with soft music which transitions to the "uplifting" major scale just before his actual pitch. I've seen so many pitches but this is one of the best if not the best negotiations in this show. The guy isthe definition of confidence and effort to change his life. Massive respect 💪💪
Damn this guy killed it. I wouldn't mind giving some of his products a try. I love how he managed to snag that trademark; he could easily capitalize on the fact that it is a common name for makeup and branch out into women's as well down the line if they ever so choose. And his negotiating was spot-on, trying to talk them down without being pushy or presumptuous. I still can't believe he actually talked Peter down like that.
Wow, starting of with a genuine bit of backstory into a perfect business pitch and standing his ground in a tough but never combative negotiation to finally get two dragons down by 40% (from 20 to 12 percentage points) of what they were willing to offer initially. This guy is exceptional.
Ok lets not go that far now. That's just crazy talk. I recently saw Australian Shark tank video where a man offered 25% of his company for $1. I doubt Jenny would have invested there even.

I love this so much. My little brother got really bad acne and stopped going to school. Nobody bullied him but he lost all his confidence overnight. Eventually he started dabbing on a bit of my sister's make up and he completely changed. He said it was like an eraser, wiping away all his acne. I’ve suffered from insecurity and body dysmorphia so this really resonates with me
**Update: I’ve now bought War Paint for Men’s concealer and I can confirm it’s a quality product, as good as Tom Ford for Men** 😊
I bet you're stunning too though.
It's what inside that counts remember Daniel, but I bet you're gorgeous! Everyone's beautiful to someone :)
Wow, mindblowing.
One of the best pitch ever.
He got the dragons not only make offers but futhermore got them lower their share & share it. Simply brilliant.
this guy went to war and won, he is a dragon slayer
Bloody top man, i take my hat off to him.
he screams toxic masculinity with this project yet talks confidently about problems with body issues, you can’t do both lol he’s funded a product that contributes to his pain
This is the most impressive entrepreneur I've seen here with his negotiation skills and absolute confidence in his business, massive respect for the guy. And for someone who said that he suffers with confidence issues related to his self-image, he sure has balls of steel, negotiating with Peter and Tej like that, total legend.
First time I've seen Peter humbled. Brilliant negotiation!
absolutely mind blowing
"Can I see before you've done it---OH!"
I love Deborah
You love her? Well stear clear you bloviating nincumpoop, she's married ffs...
if Touker was here , he would have offered some office space 😂
Touker really tries hard to get rid off the office on the Edgeware Road :) hahahahaha
Duncan would sa, that he cannae invest, so hes oot
He can prob afford the last 6% of those trousers now 😂
I’ve seen so many young Brits do that lately. I guess it’s a trend? I’m not really that privy on the male fashion industry in GB.
Ok boomer
Dweebology Baaaaaa
Lmao
oh come off it :3
I have never seen Peter Jones relent like that during negotiations. This guy is serious!
Serious about Warpaint
Why didn't they ask "WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU HAVE A £1,000,000 COMPANY???????!"
How do you know they didn't?
For 70k they will make allot more with a good brand and a chap with his head screwed on, no brainer for investors
because there are 5 companies offering male make up that are formerly known for offering female make up.... and a current cap of 60b that is set to increase by 50% - all of their videos are 14mins long at max and have obviously been edited down. What are you insinuating? Other than the fact that you clearly can't retain information in a 15 minute window or use critical thinking?
Apparently the company has had a lot of backlash and negative reviews
@@ToxicatedLum Well, that never was a reason that stopped them in the past, was it?. its a valid point and totally unusual they didnt leave the parts where they talked about the company's real numbers. Hes got to be hemorrhaging cash since inception with all the design and legal battle involved for the trademark. It just goes to show that they keep what will help the companies dragons invest in and hide the not so glorious parts... and they trash the ones that dont get any investments to satisfy the audience love of "blood". This show is getting close to the american one, its becoming a trap for the inventors.
This guy was amazing, so cunning & clever how he worked out his finance. Well done to you!
Best counter to the dragons I've seen so get. Brilliant. Dan the Man!
Theo is back. Finally! Just need banantyne back
He's just filling in for a bit
Hot take, I prefer Touker
@@mickobee because jenny's out...
Carol Burke no it’s just for 2 episodes because touker was away
@@jlistergaming7880 look forwård too touker arriving back.
Outstanding. I can relate to this man because of what he went through. More power to him!!!
Chuffed for this dude. I wish him the absolute best. I hope I see this brand in department stores very soon
Kay Jay it failed miserably because the branding is disgusting, how are you not getting that?
@@CalmDownMyDear It's in Suprdrug
I couldn't help but smile at how things progressed. Genuinely happy for this guy!
"I've been suffering with body dysmorphia since 15"
Jenny "I'm Out"
I love how this show didn't belittle this man's BDD and make it into a "feel sorry for me" section with soft music which transitions to the "uplifting" major scale just before his actual pitch. His problems and his overcoming of them were part of his pitch and part of his business, presented in a way that was respectful and interesting - thank you for not editing this like Americans would have done.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
One of the most well polished and well executed pitches I've seen. He showed vulnerability and on top of that, his brand actually does stand out as a more 'masculine' appeal for men.
This guy was absolutely amazing. Now think about Fredy Vasilev and his Bathomatic business.
How on earth did he get bullied for his looks? he's gorgeous, must have been jealousy.
He has 2 tons of makeup on.
Bullying is really indiscriminate I have found. The only way to avoid it at a young age is to relent to the bullies, adopting their friend groups, manners and customs as your own.
Vince Lestrade or like me, go to the dojo and smash the biggest one’s face in.
Sean Mustang That’s what they tell you to do in prison.
CS:GO Frags/clips wow so many jealous people on here
A great entrepreneur, obviously prepared... but most of all I admired his genuine humility, credibility and knowing his worth and sticking to it. Best of luck!
You're doing that R Kelly maths
I've watched this episode many a times. By far the most brilliant and exciting negation in the den.
100% best one I’ve ever seen he had the dragons in his hand the whole time and the dragons didn’t mind one bit 👍
THE most tense and THE best negociator with NO fear. Flippin heck!!!!
This guys pitch was good, even Jenny wouldn't have been out!
That is where you go wrong my friend. I once saw an episode where she literally said "This is too good to be true so I'm out". Broke she is that one.
Jenny: The product and pitch was amazing and for that reason I’m out
Ok lets not go that far now. That's just crazy talk. I recently saw Australian Shark tank video where a man offered 25% of his company for $1. I doubt Jenny would have invested there even.
AgileKhan just seen your reply and searched up the vid. ua-cam.com/video/vv98ZrEtzfs/v-deo.html
Let's not exaggerate
They needed an episode where all five dragons made offers, so they got rid of jenny
Who is jenny?
And for that reason, I'm out!!!
This guy was incredibly impressive. His pitch, his product, his negotiation, I don't think I've ever seen a better performer in the Den. I've alos seen his product promotions all over facebook, he has the name out there.
There was a dude that was promoting leather bags, he had balls of steel
So nice to see a young business person with this much savvy and skills.
Best pitch & negotiation I've ever seen, super happy for Daniel
I think he did a great job and picked exactly the right dragons for the business. Perhaps the best episode second only to MoBros Beard Company
Completely
Loved that mo bros episode
Unstoppable Force vs Immovable Object Second you on that. They have a great product.
I hear “pizza jones” every time he mentions peter
glad im not the only person who hears this lmfao
@@abbiepup 🤣😂
Turn on subtitles 😂
You'll prolly see it on the subtitles too
Hahaha
Yup, I wear concealer every day and I love this and would buy it. He's taken a personal problem and turned it into his greatest achievement. Hats off buddy.
That's probably the best episode I've seen. He's so Confident and knew his own mind and what he wanted. The dragons liked him alot. 👍
FFS these new episodes are getting better and better loving it. Keep it up!
This guy will make it BIG. He knows exactly what he wants and exactly how he’s getting there
Very risky to tell an investor that you specifically want them since they can then control the negotiation. But damn he did well to bring it down to that price
Definitely a smart guy, stood his ground well. I’m sure he’ll do well
Good man. Knows his true value and an investor can appreciate that.
Im glad this guy did what he did. As someone who maybe doesnt have the best body image its touching to know there are people out there trying to help with that
If tuuka was here he would have offered him 20% and an office in London
Daniel is awesome, what a great guy. Love his commitment to the offers
Update; after the show he turned the offer down after all but he's doing really well. (even though he got some backlash from the internet.)
One of the best pitches , credibility and negotiations by far
That was as good as it gets from the young man. Covered every angle. Knew his facts and his market. Knew his figures and negotiated brilliantly without being arrogant.
That was perhaps the most perfect deal in the den I’ve ever seen someone pull off, from the pitch to equity negotiation
I’ve never seen someone negotiate Peter down like that, great work from the dude! Nine times out of ten, Peter would reject that, he must really like the business.
Well they did make up in the end ...; )
That made me giggle.. 👍 🇬🇧
Jeeze between the dragons den vid and comments section..you’ve basically entered the vortex of puns
That man blew the whole place away, brilliant guy. Totally prepared and then tough negotiator to boot, he’ll succeed at anything.
I love this so much. My little brother got really bad acne and stopped going to school. Nobody bullied him but he lost all his confidence overnight. Eventually he started dabbing on a bit of my sister's make up and he completely changed. He said it was like an eraser, wiping away all his acne. He didn't care about it being for girls at all, he told his mates at school and encouraged them to try it if they felt bad about themselves haha. He was only 14, it was so sweet. I'm glad this is a product.
probably the best entrepreneur that has been on this show ever.
Except with the most garbage and stupid product and most ridiculous business concept - men wearing makeup.
Well done, Daniel. Great brand, great business, great pitch and great negotiation!
Thanks a lot! 💪🙏
@@WarPaintForMen Really impressive, guys. I'm looking forward to watching your success and using your products - Nathan
@@nathansnell4143 That's great to here!
This guy and his business model is by far the best negotiation I've seen by far
that was incredible ... that guy deserves to go far, if he can negotiate that brilliantly with 2 dragons!! lovely guy, clearly hard-working, and has created a product, that will help people, like him, feel confident within themselves again... i'm thoroughly impressed!
Best presentation, negotiation, confidence without arrogance, top man .
Genuinely had a smile on my face for the whole of this. Wow
Hi I'm Tej "tell me about yourself" Lalvani
That was iconic!!!
He did a good pitch there. Said it once however and I’ll say it again I’d go Deb Meaden every time she is the boss
This entire pitch and negotiation just made me smile. The majority of entrepreneurs who go on this show irritate me, but I was genuinely rooting for this guy from the start. Looks like a great product, easy to market, and I have no doubt he’s going to be very successful. Well done!
He was the best all round package I've seen on this show and his product allowed him to negotiate really well.
