nice
damn i would love that art as a poster
The Patre-one-O's ad was amazing
Say, i can't see the full arcade screen, what's up with that? The logo at the bottom's blocked the hud below
Would this not rather be a Super Famicon/SNES game? It doesn’t comply with the palette restrictions of the 8-bit consoles so it looks quite little like a game meant for them. Swell animation none the less :)
The part with the creeper dropping a music disc because a skeleton killed it is nice attention to detail.
How is it attention to detail? It's literally a key component to getting music discs in the game.
Also, the sudden change of music when it was picked up
@@DrxBananaxSquid it's a detail that the creators paid attention to. You smooth brained person.
@@DrxBananaxSquid I’m not sure I follow. How is it not attention to detail? They added a detail that only people who played the game and/or are semi-knowledgeable in it would know.
Even if it was common knowledge it’d still be attention to detail, seeing as they payed attention to that detail.
@@DrxBananaxSquid Normally people think that music disc only available on loot chest and creative mode.
This demake looks so awesome!! Really hoping we get a playable version soon, awesome work!! :)
Hi Pixelcraftian! Unfortunately, it's just a fan-animated tribute. So no game engine was used at all :)
@@64Bits I know and it looks super amazing, I'm just waiting for the day somebody gets permission to make it a reality :)
A mod is always possible too.
Man, just download dig dug.
@@Pixelcraftian Ah yes, TERRARIA
Love the cabinet design
Thank you! Miss old arcades so its a detail that needed to go in
@@64Bits I should buy the shirt!
Haha if you do, then thank you for the support! Really appreceate it!
As a fan of DigDug; I have to say that this was the best thing ever!
The fact that you guys are able to transform your art style in something completely different each video is amazing and I love the box design, looks just like old arcade cabin art.
Thanks a lot, Mario2n3e. We're striving to create something different for every new 64bits project so glad to hear it! :)
This was fantastic
Hey Proto
Yes
They never fail!
Also Minecraft x DigDug is something I never realized I would enjoy
DigDugCraft looks like a cozy game.🥺
You do exceptionally great work
That box art is so adorable and looks legit retro! I'd pay actual good money for the box!
Well, there's the shirt, too!👍
The shirt is based on the Arcade Flyer haha... tbh I'll probably end up wearing it myself too. 😅
@@64Bits Who is "I" in this comment? You do remember that 64Bits isn't a single person right.... r-right?!
@@andre_601 in this case its Niels. But Nelis and Ryan are reading comments too. Haha sorry about that. Itll mostly be either Nelis or Niels (me) reading comments. And yes we practically have the same name.
Eleventh! Lol. This is so awesome! Imagine just hearing that ding sound when you ride a rollercoaster 😂.
Twentieth!!
You guys are so freaking cool. I caught a Doodle stream with Neils the other day and he made me a Lego Botw Link doodle. I can't wait to see what plans 2022 has for y'all. Happy New Year
Haha yea that was a fun one to draw! Glad you like it!
This looks legitimately fun. I wonder if the NES would be able to pull it off though. I think vertical scrolling was not that straightforward on it and the playfield cannot be constructed entirely of sprites as only 64 are allowed at any given time, so there should be some background work to swap out the parts of the map that changed. Maybe cover them with a black sprite in the foreground layer and actually leave them in place? Then just use actual sprites for water, lava and sand blocks. And enemies.
Vertical scrolling was fine. Simultaneous horizontal and vertical scrolling like in Super Mario Bros 3 or Kirby's Adventure required some trickery though.
Good thing DigDug was an arcade game and isn’t bound to NES limitations ;)
There was an NES release of Dig Dug, so I imagine it'd work in a similar way.
The amount of colors used and FM sound make it look closer to a Genesis title. Not mad at the game design though!
The only thing I'm not so sure that the NES could pull off was the water/lava fluids.
apart from the very beautiful and consistent pixelart which you wouldnt have in an actual 80s game, this is so awesome! so much attention to detail, like the fact that certain sound effects stop the music due to old games only supporting like 2 or 3 sounds playing at once :D
This actually looks like a lot of fun!
The sound design is so perfect and well edited
These are always so good! I love it!
By far the cutest renditions of the minecraft characters I'd say ;)
I agree
This is SO good! I was just playing Dig Dug and this demake looks like legit fun to play.. Love it!!
This is awesome! I'd love to play this version for sure ;) you guys always make such great work!
Man, everything about this video is great!
Everything was so fluid, every aspect of it felt more than real!
Really amazed about this video, really a work of art!
Absolutely love this guys, you did an amazing job!! The nostalgia is hitting hard with this.
This is by far the most creative minecraft related thing I've seen. I can already see this becoming a fun mini game with the right programmers.
I am so happy to have subscribed. Your content never seizes to amaze me
I mean this is cool but people have built working computers and emulators in game (painfully slow but it functions) among many other crazy things like that.
The details are so good that they even included actual peoples’ initials in the results screen.
Excellent!
A perfect fusion of two games I love.
I'm so glad I've finally seen this. this is so awesome!
I know it's been a week but this is Jist absolutely perfect! Every detail from the game was translated (to me) perfectly, the animation was great, and the sound design was just superb! Great work and thank you to everyone who was involved!
(Side note: I wish I had a full and clean version of the Minecraft medley that was in the video but that's probably just me.)
counted 9 this time! Brilliant work, I'm really loving these! Keep it up
Wow, this is very nice, especially the art on the sides of the screen. You really captured the original art style!
Short but very sweet! Well done!
So much attention to detail for both Minecraft itself and how old games worked is amazing!
This is amazing! I love it!
that looks amazing, it feels genuinely fun to play too !
This is the multiverse of gaming right here! I just had to subscribe! I love this!
Thanks for the sub! :)
This is awesome! It brings back so many memories! Gaming is a lifestyle!
that was SO cute. I never thought of minecraft mashed up with digdug before. cool idea and even cooler animation!
WOW this was definitely my favourite so far! SO GOOD GUYS!
Wish this was playable! Very cute.

This is perfect! Taking inspiration from Dig Dug was genius!
what an amazing concept 🤯 i never thought of dig dug as the original minecraft but it been in front of my face the whole time
Wow, this is perfect, man 🤩🤩
Amazing detail, the sound effects interrupting the background music bring a lot of memories.
This is just So Amazingly Cool!!! 😀👍
Woah just now finding this channel. This is some good stuff
Great job!!! I love it!
A very clever idea executed superbly!
This was made with so much LOVE
I really wish someone would make this into a game at some point, but the concept is genius and so charming!!!
Amazing. The choice of game made so much sense. Love it.
That was awesome, good job with that
Oh, my goodness! I love the concept! Thank you, 64 Bits!
Wow this is really well made genuinely looks like something i would play
DIG DUG!! This is awesome I love the decorations on the side looking like the dig dug arcade machine
I don't understand why it has few visits if the video about Minecraft is super great, keep it up guys. =)
I liked that shirt at the end of the video.
:0 wow it's great and beautiful.
You gotta' love all of the little details in this, like how on the title screen the sand blocks fall at slightly different times, and the way the water and lava levels actually lower as they drain out from where they're pooled at.
Huge kudos to the 64 Bits team!
This is outstanding! This would make a really awesome game!
This is so nicely done! I aspire to be on this level of animating when I'm older :)
That actually looks incredible! Looks like a refrence to a TV show!
I really liked this 8 bit version of Minecraft :D thank you :)
I liked the reimagination of 64 Bits from Minecraft and make it like a combination of Wrecking Crew and Dig-Dug. Good work guys!
Wonderful work as always
I'm waiting for the inevitable moment you all make a game.
That was so cool! :D
You guys have a lot of creativity
The music is FANTASTIC!
Great stuff!
Love how the little guy took damage and the eventual game over!!! Gives a lot of life to the game~
Thanks Michaël Poreil.
Glad you like it! :)
not only is the concept cool but Dig Dug and Minecraft are one of my favorite games and this feature is just amazing
Ahh this Dig Dug X Minecraft crossover is excellent! I love the little details like the sfx cutting off for other sfx!
I love both dig dug and minecraft and this is just perfect I love it
I love you guys!
Love the box art!
I love how whenever a sound is played music stops just like in 8 bit games, it's some great attention to detail.

You make such cool what if videos.
This would be a fun game to play if it were real.
This would be awesome to play!
This really looks like a video Mojang themselves would put out for April Fools or as a gag in one of the UA-cam videos. Great work!
This is sick
