The el Diablo is the winner for me. I don't know if it was the pup or the pedals you were using but it had a nice, nasty snarl to it. The bottom end was chunky too. I'm bout to go price them, thanks to you. 🤘
@@jed_shred_guitars everything but a dual rec or triple rec mesa washing out the cones too much with a boost pedal on mesa cab and stock V30 sounds great before that. May go back to a single or other rectifier with a stereo rack mount full EQ in FX loop. 🙂 The dual rectifier made me sick. i am looking into a mesa nomad 55 head or ceriatone YETI build. i am practicing on biyang metal end king and a reptone 15 by johnson amps but i was looking at a TAURUS stomp head 4 high gain for a head, but my speakers are WGS DW75, with jensen nighthawk perfect combo. BGT White stripe and a BGT In Flames. BGT are clones of Celestion but outperform slightly in cut do to Hemp cone material. imagine In Flames as a kind of a better cutting V30 with the same frequency response! And the White Stripe as a G12-65 Creamback that absolutely thrashes with cut. i also like the jensen Nighthawk, WGS invader 50 and WGS Reaper HP 50. Also celestion fixed their V30 International for 2022. No more china dust cap ruining the sound. imo though WGS closest to V30 is their INVADER 50.
Hey. Got a Flesh Rot 60 from This Heavy Earth running noise gate and Metal End King through FxLoop and WGS Reaper HP50. Still have the Johnson 15 also Running through Jensen Nighthawk 75 and Jensen 10" Falcon 40 watt. Yup it all slays. now just need better guitars and pickups like you have. Going to try the Seymour Duncan SLUG. Already liked the SH13 also, so going to give the SLUG, the El diablo, the Black winter, the SH6 distortion Trembucker version though, And the dimarzio dactivator neck in the neck and dactivator X. the Dimarzio Dominion. the Dimarzio X2N. well thanks for steering me the correct direction. These are both great pickups. But I prefer the El Diablo for its clarity.
