I just realized you’re using a type of link and pin couplers. Which are know for being extremely dangerous. May i ask why you use them and not another style?
Since I’m building my own two foot gauge railroad . I think that I’m qualified to answer your question. First almost all that equipment was built from industrial railways which often still use link and pin couplers. Knuckle couplers of the small size needed are hard to find. And notice the long coupling bars? The main danger with link and pin couplers is getting your hands pinched. With the long bars you can keep your hand far enough away that it won’t get pinched.
good to see you giving a youngster some training and driving
I wish I could help with your railroad. It looks like hard but fun work.
way cool! If I may, start your work times with a review of hand signals. You folks are great . all best to you and yours.
