Just got the set of 24 after using their noris watercolor pencils for years (those are AMAZING btw) and I have no doubts about their quality. I really wish they were less expensive (costs like a kidney!) here where I live but the joy of watercolor is the blending so I don't mind that much. These have so much pigment, so soft and layer so well. The blending is so easy to do. Really great product.
I like my Derwent Inktense pencils a lot. But I've been thinking about getting these...can never have too many watercolour things! And I really like their fineliners, so thought they would probably be good. So grateful you did this review. I got the standard 60-pencil set, so I think that since I used your link to buy them, I made you a few pennies. I hope so. Happy 2019! 🎆🎆🎆
These look rather awesome I have to say, I wouldn't buy the ones with the Joanna Basford pictures in, but am definitely interested in the pencils themselves. You did an excellent job using them and thanks once again for a splendid review. xo
I have this set and that is the only set I have. I like them but rarely use water on them. So I want to try a new one, but can't decide which. All I read about is Prismacolor and FC polychromos. Are those beter than Karat?
@@ColourwithClaire hi Claire, I love your work and have learned a lot watching you color ❤️ have been watching lots os vídeos comparing prisma & poly... But still dont know what to buy. I live in Portugal and here the price for both of them is the same. Is the poly harder to blend than the karat? I want a new set because I find the karat Hard to blend, I need to press Hard. I want the Prisma for its softness but then I hear they break when you sharpen them... What should I buy?
If you need to press hard, you need a soft wax based pencil like Prismacolor. Oil based pencils like Polychromos are more translucent and need to be built up in light layers, which is why they are harder.
Why should i pay more for a special edition with 3 sheets of printed paiper??? Im not that stupid😅😅😅 i buyed the hmm i think 48 set or so for 49.99€ about 1.5 years ago and i can say they are one of the best watercolor pencils!!!! Only what i can compere these to are the fabercastell dürrer watercolor pencils... the watercolor pencil version of the polychromos i think... SO GUYS IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE TO BUY THEM NORMAL OR CHEAP IT ABSOLUTELY IS WORTH IT!!!😁

@@ColourwithClaire thank you 😄
What other watercolor pencils have u tried?
Derwent Watercolours. I think these Staedtler ones are much nicer, not that the Derwents are bad at all x
Derwent inktense are far superior in my opinion
they are absolutely not the same... I have the two sets and they are the two exceptionnal !
