I bought an '05 Lexus last year, and other then lack of Bluetooth I love the car. I had tried one system unsuccessfully and I've been researching things since. Thank you for sharing.
So I know this is a bit old, but I have some questions... So I was going to swap out my '01 Buick LeSabre stock stereo with an aftermarket one, so I could utilize Aux/USB inputs, add an amp/subs... Etc, until I realized that the wiring harness adapter would cost roughly $82, and then to keep my steering wheel controls, an additional adapter at $120 would be needed... So instead of spending $200 for that, I opted to keep the stock deck, which is theft locked and VIN locked to my vehicle. (Took almost there hours to start the car again after I put it back in... But that's a story for another time....) And I am going to build one of these as well, I have a cassette adapter that I paid $1, and picked up a Bluetooth audio receiver for $11 ($12>$200) However my Aux Cassette adapter includes a small board with some resistors on it, conveniently located right where the BT receiver will need to go to have access to power button and charge port. My question I guess is can I remove the resistors all together, or will that cause issues? I could easily extend the wires and move it to another spot, but if I can lose it, I'd like to. Sorry for the long comment, but thanks for any help
this would be a cool device! The audio out at the end was a great addition. I feel like you could have gotten a cheaper blue tooth module if you ordered it on the internet lol
There's also a Bluetooth cassette adapter made by ION, and it's available online. I might get one someday along with an 8-track cassette adapter in which I will be getting and I will play it on my Panasonic 8-track player/recorder.
awesome vid. Great explanations. Sorry about your stereo. If I may, and sorry if its been asked, in your experiments, did you try removing that stopper? The one that tells the cassette to not reverse? As far as I can tell from other videos and my own playing, cassette decks will just spin endlessly as it meets no resistance, which works because it will just endlessly play side A.
just take the tape feeder out of the deck, conect the Bluetooth directly I to the audio feed to the deck. you can then use the power from the deck (after relay of course so it shuts off with car). just make make a small board to step the voltage down. would be a great thing to try man! great idea you had.
hey your channel is fantastic, I'm loving you're work, like the Bluetooth cassette, do you think it would be possible to convert a built in car CD player to revive Bluetooth via a modes CD or hacked CD player?
I saw a cassette claimed it would connect your phone via Bluetooth and allow you to play your music off your phone into a cassette playing device at a store
My native language is English and I cannot believe I typed that what I was trying to say is that I saw a product at the store that claimed it would allow you to use any cassette player as a Bluetooth speaker
Double female connector, no soldering, no effort. cassette adapter cable plugged into double female, blue tooth device plugged into the other end of the double female. Done.
buenisimo los tutoriales del bloetooth.... como le coloco bluetooth al esterero del automobil, sin suspender el cd.... es un estereo del 2005 solo tiene emisoras de radio y cd.... y las salidas de los parlantes lo basico....-.....

at 10:11 it says R on the circuit board. just so you know
the gears are to prevent auto reverse decks from thinking the tape has reached the end

andrew walker it can be done.
ERES CHINGON MUCHAS GRACIAS...!!!
Was wiring the headphone jack as simple as wiring the output of the bt module to both the jack and cassette magnet? Or was there more you had to do?
+MrMonkeyman2424 A little tricky to solder another set of wires to the BT module, without lifting the wires already connected to the magnetics.
nice job!

Entertaining and useful videoI also subscribe to your Chanel 👍🏼
You can buy these now. Just ahead of your time I guess!
Replace the belt on the radio. That should fix it.
nice job though
v3: dynamo on the rotors to power the circuit.
Also...any potential thermal problem with sticking that battery pack into a factory head unit with an integrated amp? and other hot stuff in the dash?
The obvious solution to this problem is to fix the cassette player or replace it with another cassette player.
Why? you'd be cheaper just buying a BT head unit.
they have a MP3 casstte
WOW
why not just get a female 3.5 to female 3.5.. boom. I guess you have no cords this way tho.
for $20 you can buy a bluetooth cassette off ebay
sorry bro if I sound mean but. that shit makes me laugh. all that work just to find out that your radio was broke
Why don't just buy one whit Bluetooth
Cost only 20 bucks
+Lalodrd I designed my 1st prototype prior to their existence, and was unaware of their existence when I made this video.
