As a retired critical care nurse and instructor for both nurses and physicians, I strongly encourage you to research what you need and bring it with you to your doctor. If your doctor poo poos you, get another doctor. You have the time to research what you need that your doctor doesn’t. I’m not against Western medicine but I believe and have found that there are many things that can be taken or can be done to decrease dependency on pills. We do not have health care. We have sick care. If you can take simple measures to improve your health, do it. Start with blood pressure. Make sure the cuff fits your arm. It should wrap 1 1/2 times. It should occupy 1/3 of your upper arm. Your arm should not be in your lap, but straight out on a table or chair back, in order to be at heart level. Your pressure should be taken several minutes into the exam. If it was taken immediately after walking you into the room, ask to have it taken again. Studies are finding that medical practitioners may be seeing false BP readings because of these things. No talking while taking your BP.

I truly believe that you are the only doctor who truly cares. You individualize your patients and find alternative methods for their needs. I have been a patient in this medical circus for years. The only doctor that I trusted passed away😢 You are truly a gift!

@@MedicalSecrets I am so glad the view of alternative medicine within the medical community is changing. I remember I was asked about it during my med school entrance exam back in 1997 and was quickly put in my place when I started talking about the possible benefits of integrating it with western medicine. It makes me happy to see doctors like you who are curious about other options, always learning and trying to figure out best ways to help every individual patient.

You are a wonderful human being. I had OHS this year and was more concerned with anesthesia than with the operation itself as my body rejects most meds as result of long tern Lyme disease. No one really wanted to hear about this. At the end of the day I came through fine except for some minor issues. I wish more institutions will marry integrative and western medicine for the benefit of their patients.

I didn’t have access to Western medicine for financial reasons until I was nearly 50. But being unable to afford treatment doesn’t mean you don’t need it.
I’m honestly thankful today because it ignited my passion for holistic medicine.
    Bottom line: it works.
Especially when there is an emotional component.
People are more than walking flesh bags. We are a union of body and spirit. The mind and emotions influence a lot.
I could have been that woman with CPTSD. I also had an undiagnosed food allergy to canola oil , which I figured out myself via elimination diets. I won’t make any journals because I treated myself (and, having experienced Western medicine now, yeah-I’m sticking with holistic unless I break a bone). But I welcome anyone to witness the results and am happy to share my story.
    Holistic medicine works.

Glad to hear you are experiencing holistic medicine. I follow a homeopathic lifestyle; plant based foods, turkey, chicken and no red meat, home remedies for times of illness. I stay away from western "corporation" medicine, which benefits big pharma and the healthcare system. I do not participate in the "primary caregiver" system. I am not against doctors. If I believe I need to see a doctor, I will make an appointment, rather than have endless tests, procedures and medications which have harmful side effects. I have been there and done that, so I know from which I speak. I have not been inpatient in hospital for 50 years until recently, when I had hip replacements, which were absolutely necessary. Proper diet and exercise is key to a healthy life. See a doctor when you absolutely need to. Thanks for your very informative videos.

I was always interested in other healing methods. Before becoming chronically ill myself, I worked in healthcare too.
My faith in acupuncture was when my GP, put some needles in anxiety points, and I was talking a dime a dozen out of excitement and when that spot hit, I just took a deep breath and had a tiny power nap!
There was also a small town centre, with a GP, pharmacy, herbal doctor, palliative care centre, all on the same site. It has probably disappeared now, but I was so impressed. Which is when I started referring to COMPLEMENTARY, not alternative medicine. A lot of common drugs were extracted from plants in the first place. I am not saying I believe 💯 in either the Western or Eastern/more indigenous methods, but I definitely believe they can help each other.
It's nice to see this video though.

I ABSOLUTELY 💯 💯 💯 LOVE THIS!!! I felt like a slave to the "healthcare" (I call it the sick care industry) system for much of my 56 years of chronic health illnesses and diseases. Ketamine has been a game changer for me, along with some Ayurvedic and other holistic and tried and true medicine and supplements that have been safely used for millenia. Between 2014-2021, I was hospitalized 26 different times. In March of 2020 I started making changes in a LOT of areas, including starting a "mitochondrial cocktail" for my CVS (Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome), regular and abdominal migraines, and IBS. I was also able to wean off a LOT of insulin and that helped me lose almost 80lbs! I also believe that God had a huge part in my healing. I really do believe that He put everything we need to heal here on the earth.

4 decades ago i had a wonderful birthing experience for my third child using hypno therapy. A C section. My gynaecologist introduced it to me at the start of my pregnancy. A month before, he realised i would need a C section and he covered the hypnosis for that. My GP asked to be at the birth and said it was the most bloodless operation he had ever seen. This was in Africa. I used what I learned for decades afterwards , at the dentist and for all pain related procedures. Even for a droopy eyelid correction- in the chair. Medical clinical hypnosis is amazing.

I am a solid believer in acupuncture. My husband developed a severe case of Bells Palsy on the right side, which is unusual. It's found most often on the left I believe. His MD tried steroids and this and that with no relief. He went to an acupuncturist and after the first visit he felt some tingling. Six visits later you could not tell he ever had it. MD said it was just a coincidence. Ha! Also, acupuncture cured a toe fungus that I had been fighting for 3 years.

PPIs are so hard on the body after awhile! I had such terrible GERD that I was on 80mg of Protonix for years a day and it still didn't control it. I had many nutritional deficiencies that led to other issues.
I ended up needing a Nissen fundoplication, which was a literal lifesaver for me. But working with integrative specialists post surgery helped me resolve some of the issues caused by long-term PPI usage.

Not all dietitians have training in food allergies / sensitivities. So don't be discouraged if you find one (or any medical professional) that disregards the idea that what we ingest can make huge impacts on our health.
I am a nutritionist and I've discovered that, for me, dairy (the casein protein, not lactose) and nightshades (tomatoes, peppers, white potatoes and eggplant) give me TERRIBLE heartburn/GERD that then triggers esophageal spasms.
One of my favorite elimination diets for many people to start with is AIP= Autoimmune Protocol.
      Good luck to you!

I take Zonisamide but im borderline Status epilepticus and Cerebral hypoxia because i’m in seizures for longer than i should be and my body isnt receiving the air that it should be and it carries on for 2hrs. CPTSD/DID functions completely different than normal PTSD. I just thought I would add this for your consideration. If you research this, please find someone who is well versed with DID as not many therapists are.

A good day was doing basic hygene and feeding myself, some years that only happened once or twice. Now I can bust out a 12 hour work day 6 days a week. I no longer just exsisting. I am living and thriving again. Insurances are cartels. I will never trust a westwrn med doctor with my general health again. Not because they are bad or dumb people, quite the opposite most the time. They are miseducated and have so much red tape tieing their hands. would Terahertz therapy really work to eliminate a Parotid salivary gland tumour? or could one try Magnesium alloy Hydrogen therapy ? these are claimed to be effective alternative medication (CAM) to deal with Parotid tumours instead of surgical procedure.

Yes, most people can feel better by eating better food, exercise, not drinking (at all), not smoking tobacco or weed, and not dosing yourself with hormones, or any other "magic" pills. Most of the GF and dairy intolerances are corporate driven hysteria.

Indeed, it is quite concerning what is going into our bodies, and some conditions, especially GERD, can be quite diet-infuenced

"Most of the GF and dairy intolerances are corporate driven hysteria." ??
I'm sorry, but I disagree. I felt dramatically better eliminating those from my life. Perhaps it's because they've been changed from a more ancestral form, perhaps it's because of pesticides like glyphosate, or there way they are processed now, or maybe it's changes in our microbiome...
Each person needs to figure out what foods are tanking how they think, feel, perform. Gluten, dairy, processed food elimination while switching to whole foods like meat, vegetables and fruits are good places to start.

I NEED HELP DESPERATELY!!! Does ketamine therapy work for fibromyalgia pain?! I’ve been suffering with chronic pain for 10 yrs & the medications I’m on only help very minimally! My life has drastically changed because I can no longer do things with my husband & sons like I loved doing such as going to amazement parks & hiking!! I NEED HELP!!! I’ve seen many drs who just want to give me prescriptions that have many awful side effects!!

So....that the guy with the acid reflux was never checked for dairy intolerance, is a crime. He should never have been medicated at high dosages with noooo look at the cause. It's so incredably basic. I'm glad you helped him and I'm pretty pissed off that others harmed him. Folks must look into things themselves. Clearly, some doctors don't look much farther than cut it or drug it.

That is true. I was still young when I realised that going to a dr meant you will get a medication for each ailment you named in the consultation. I just got progressively worse, until I started to think for myself and had so much better so much faster with natural, logical remedies.

Knew this woman who had a red raw tongue and visited many Drs and specialists. Spent a fortune. I happened to be at her home one day and watched as she had a scalding hot coffee followed by an ice cold drink. I asked her if that’s what she did all the time. The answer was yes. I suggested she stop doing it and see how her tongue felt. Yes it got better. My question to her was did no one ask about your eating and drinking habits. The anaerobic was no.

Traditional medicine: _supportive_ of the natural body.
Modern medicine: overtakes control from the body. It's distrustful.
The approaches are fundamentally opposed. The former is about trust and support, and the later is about distrust and control.
The nurturing approach is more feminine, and the control-based one is more patriarchy/colonizer.

    America practices Rockefeller medicine
it’s no fault of the doctors. It’s fault of the institution that are training the doctors. And pharmaceutical companies.
Some doctors do take the interest and learn other means that they can incorporate into their practice
And be quite successful without the cost and the side effects of the medication’s

I am a retired pharmacist and was almost bullied by anesthesiologist into Propofol until my GI doctor came in and said they have done other meds in the past.
