Pterosaurs were flying reptiles of the extinct order Pterosauria. They existed during most of the Mesozoic: from the late Triassic to the end of the Cretaceous (228 to 66 million years ago[. Pterosaurs are the earliest vertebrates known to have evolved powered flight. Their wings were formed by a membrane of skin, muscle, and other tissues stretching from the ankles to a dramatically lengthened fourth finger.

The real question is:*Is bills backround real or fake?*
REAL. This animal has no 'control surfaces' like birds or airplanes; no 'flaps' no 'ailerons' no muscles within its wings to manipulate the surface to create drag. So, to reduce its airspeed, it would have to tip its head down, and use its wings like a sail to create drag and slow itself down. That's exactly what you see in this video. This is an extremely elaborate behavior that has been chosen; its far too subtle of a behavior to fake if one wants the average viewer to be duped....

It obviously wouldn't have mechanical actuated control surfaces as it isn't a plane. For it to be able to bank into a turn it would still have to use wing warping. (Wing warping increases angle of attack on the outer wing and decreases it on the inner wing. Birds use this method). Not sure how much the head would change the pitch angle.

Yeah...No. I live in the NorCal Triangle: Mt Shasta to Mt Lassen to the Sacramento River in Anderson...I'm an Aviation Fanatic & Friend to All things Feathered. Three times I've seen Gigantic Winged Whuthefucks, twice by the Sac River in Anderson & once here at home at the 3500ft elevation. We have Bald/Golden Eagles, Osprey, Vultures etc...We do NOT have California Condors except in the Big Sur Area & what I saw was either Condor escapees or something that should not exist. And these did not look like that thingie in the clip...HUGE... 12-15ft Wingspan, Crested Head, Dark, Graceful. Two were probably 1-2mi away...it was the size that caught my eye and caused my brain to go into WTF Explode Mode. The other flew right over my head here in Shingletown at about 30ft causing me to stand there like a moron w/my mouth hanging open for 5mins. Now...did I see them due to being Native American & this was a Thunderbird, was there a glitch in Space/Time...I have no idea...I just KNOW what I saw & it Was NOT a flying Lizard doing loop de loops! People have reported these Avian WTFs in and around Mt Shasta time out of mind...✌

This is the only Pterosaur video I have ever thought to be real ..... here's why:
This type of animal has no tail .... therefore he cannot put his tail down to catch the air so he can slow his airspeed. Instead, he must put his head down and flip his wings into a vertical position briefly so they will 'catch' air like a sail, and then he rights himself. This is the only way this animal can reduce airspeed with this body design and no tail. The animal is 'less animated' than a regular bird because he's 'all one piece' .... normal feathered birds are made up of many parts (e.g. each feather is a mini control surface) and thus have a more fluid movement to them.------I say it's real-----but I have no idea how a breeding population of these animals could go unnoticed in the wild.

Back in the early 1970's, I believe, came a story from, Brownsville, Texas, where s man claimed, his trailer was being knocked and shaken by a, Pterosaur. It eventually flew in a southern direction. Reports later came from Mexico, about a giant like bird, flying in those skies.

Unless it's cgi, that pterosaur is 100% real. Again barring computer generated graphics, the way it flies, looks behind it by halfway flipping down, the color of its wings, etc. I'm not saying it's from 160 million years ago but if it's fake it's the best dang fake every#

I think the pterosaur is really based on a few facts first fact a course assuming that it's real there is a possibility that it could have found a place to hide with its family second the way it flaps its wings seems really natural third the way the light of the sun bounced off of the creatures wings fourth it does not seem to be animatronic nor does it seem edited it and fifth the fact that its cloudy out makes the creature seem completely dark and at some point the suns Ray's pierced the clouds

I live in Idaho next to Boise and visit Boise all the time. I can tell you the area that was taken in is usually crowded, that or it isn't in Boise.
@@maddoxhunt1446 ive seen and heard one. Sober. With my cousin who also seen it and heard it's high pitched screech. It's skin had a bronze color glow to it, it didn't have any feathers, it looked like a cross between a pterodactyl/ bat/ dragon. This was in Brooklyn, New York back in 2009 around 1am. These things still exist sir.

I seen something very much like that flying reptile while driving over cannons in Colorado. Its span was longer than the f150 and it was far away yet it's force of flapping shook the truck. I know what I saw. Unbelievable yep, but if I was a pterasore I would live in the cannons too. I'm from Cali and never ever seen something near that.
