I’m laughing because I like (and actually need) that “monstrosity” so much-, I have two 😁.. I have a spare new one in a box, for when in many many years, the 1st one will die or break. Well, I don’t think the dw290 can break 🤷🏼‍♂️.
And yes, I am in the tiny minority that need a robust, tough as nails and heavy on the WR watch for my job. That’s why I own more than a few divers, g shocks and other rugged Casios, as well as some field watches.
Yet I get your point. It is not the most attractive piece out there, and it has been reviewed and mentioned 10005 times on UA-cam 😉.

Good find, I didn't know that model existed 👍 Shame it isn't 20mm lugs, but 19 is a lot better than having to buy 16mm adapters for the DW5600e

I wear this same watch sailing, skindiving and spearfishing, and it's held up great for years! Its great to have the large front light button, without all the g shock bulk

Great Video !💯😀👍🏼This is indeed a great Watch ! I had three Casio W87H-1V and used them in Service, once the Watch even helped me out of an Emergency Situation by using the Illuminator as a Flashlight. Very bright and high quality Lighting, very easy to read Display ! When I saw your video, i was immediately overcome by a little Melancholy and I wanted to order a new Watch right away. Here in Germany, the Watch is unfortunately not to be found on Amazon or anywhere else at the Moment😕Is this Watch still in Production at all ? Best Regards, Michael👋🏼😀

I got this watch in tan color with nylon and PU-leather strap, this little one is one of the few last watches using electroluminescent backlighting, and not LED light.

MI III had the G-Shock MTG-911 (MTG-900 in full black) - I have a silver MTG-M900 that I put a black resin strap on from a GW-M500 and I love it - if the resin protection for the watch head or metal bezel get dinged, I'll probably replace them with the black parts to end up with the MI III watch 😊

I have the W89H and it has served me for the last 7 years without any problems. It looks almost identical but its brown haha! Awesome watch!
