Came here to say: this series was an ABSOLUTE BANGER. Thank you for putting it together. I honestly don’t know how nobody has properly dissected the Wayans’ careers, work and influence before now. I learned a LOT. Bravo 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎉
R.I.P Pops. His UA-cam cooking channel was hilarious too. Keep up the great work. You deserve to have a million followers just off of this series alone.
I met Kim Wayans a couple of times. She was super cool and down to earth, she used to visit the gift shop of a museum I worked at and I'd see her walking the streets around there from time to time. This was a while back but won't say the museum to respect her privacy. I gave her her space but eventually told her how much I was a fan and respected her and her family's work
It's refreshing to learn that the Industry was not able to divide this family!! If they have issues, its not because of them and THAT makes them FAMILY!!! GOOD JOB WAYANS❤
I had kind of forgotten just how many amazing hit movies the Wayans family had created. When you list them all in one video, it's like "Wow. These guys are really comedy geniuses." Thanks for highlighting this important family in terms of Black comedy and African-American history. We need more UA-cam creators like you generating positive content. Thank you.
I LOVE The Wayans Bros. It’s one of my comfort shows I’ve must’ve watched every episode. It doesn’t get any credit for how great it is. I also think Marlon really shined on that show he and John Witherspoon would have me dying of laughter everytime.
Your research, editing, and attention to detail was on point for this "In Living Color" docusearies. I appreciate your work and all three videos should have a million plus views by now.
That intro song lives rent free in so many of our brains. I still have no idea what the Wayans brothers was really about but loved every minute of it 😂 My Wife & Kids is one of my favorite series ever.
My favorite part of that song is it's more than just a silly intro song. The song literally has a message about unity and how good the world can be if we just look past the race and cultural differences. So ironic that the show made such strides in that respect and yet the stupid network let race get in the way.
I just stumbled on to your channel and I love it! It’s 🔥 But in this video, your comments about Low Down Dirty Shame show that you’re from a different generation because that movie is a classic, and that’s not just my opinion. GenX and older millennials love this movie and can recite lines from it and recall the memes from it. So you saying “it’s okay” shows you may be too young to relate, which is fine. I love that you’re capturing this info, but if it is before your time, perhaps you can review it with people from that generation just as another check. I can recall a couple of things I noticed from parts 1 and 2 that I feel you got wrong as well. No fault of your own, it’s just generational. 😊 But again I love what you’re doing, and thank you for capturing this information!
"The Wayans Bros." is one of few shows that I honestly feel wasn't great to start with, but really got better as it went along. And that episode with Pops and the Temptones is probably my favorite. And Marlon's show "Marlon" was also pretty funny in my opinion. RIP John Witherspoon.
You deserve all the likes, love & shares❤❤❤❤❤❤ thank you soooo much for this. I love the Wayans family, seriously obsessed…….. they are definitely Black Excellence and the trailblazers for our Era……. Much love to you for doing these videos. So worth the watch, some of my friends even asking me to send them the videos 😂❤❤❤
You put a lot of work into these. I really like how thorough and how much integrity you have, making it clear when you are not sure of pictures or information. Wish you were a professional journalist- we need that! Glad you are having fun making such great content. Thanks much.
...soooo it's a Friday and I'm in the office I shhhhould be working BUT I'm stuck watching all 3 parts of this. Great job and I hit the like button and subscribe as well. I hope you get monetized you defiantly deserve to be paid. This is on the better channels on UA-cam. Great job and I'll be sure to check out more from you. Have a great day and weekend :-)
Dude, thank you so much. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch! In terms of Living Single, that may or may not be something I'm already working on. All I'll say is...I have plans 🤫
Danny Glover as pop's I can't see that bc both the Wayans are comedians and so John Witherspoon.John fits as pop's for the brothers personalities sake.
Thank u for all the hard work and many hours putting these 3 vids together. I know it was exhausting research. I appreciate it. I was a fan of in living color
OMG hahaha the last statements at the end of this video TOOK ME OUT!!! I didnt see that coming 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 When you said he's your parents age I Lost it LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
JFS- so positive feedback...watch and observed how well you research how well you framed and showed really good program thankyou. Now please i am hoping a grand future for you this is what really needs to happen and again see good for you.
Maaaan I didn't have cable back then, Wayans Bros show on school days was just the highlight of the night sometimes! Shame, Git you Sucka, Major Payne, Blankman and Mo Money, I went through phases I watched all of those on a loop and I used to record Keenans talk show on VHS and watch them when nothing was on TV. Plus I still watch In Living Color. Wayans were like the comedy Chicago Bulls of the 90's! Then we got all the Marlon and Shawn parodies to laugh at later on! Come on this whole family needs each a Hollywood star!!
Dance Flick was the last movie Marlon, Shawn and Keenen worked on together. Keenen just didnt direct it but he was a writer and played a role spoofing Steve Harvey
NBC didn't want John Witherspoon because he was on the cancelled Richard Pryor show back in the 70s. It was probably for the best NBC didn't take the Wayans brother show anyway.
I honestly never knew Tommy Davidson had a substance abuse problem until i saw this doc. I guess it should have been obvious since his characters on ILC always seemed so strung-out and animated. Glad he eventually got his stuff together.
If I'm not mistaken, those two dude with those beaver teeth as Keenan and his brothers are viewing a footage on his show are the sons of one of the great comedian Paul Mooney.
It's interesting how many times the phrase "it's fine" is mentioned referring to Wayans projects. Because yeah. That's a lot of their work. It's overall fine. Keenan and Damon undoubtedly do the heavy lifting in terms of quality work. Kim is somewhere in the middle and Shawn and Marlon...oof. lol
Hollyweird only want the Waynans around to copy from but they can’t execute like the them. Yes some of these projects Make no sense but they are hugely funny classics!😂
Came here to say: this series was an ABSOLUTE BANGER. Thank you for putting it together. I honestly don’t know how nobody has properly dissected the Wayans’ careers, work and influence before now. I learned a LOT. Bravo 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎉
Seconded. This trilogy was very well put together and deserves way more exposure.
R.I.P Pops. His UA-cam cooking channel was hilarious too. Keep up the great work. You deserve to have a million followers just off of this series alone.
“That boy Marlon need some time off” lol 😂

Maan African problem 😅😅

Btw Damon is the funniest but Marlon is the best actor out of the family. Requiem For A Dream and his appearance as Lou on the Bel Air are phenomenal.
Yes! He has some great acting chops! 💯🔥
Man Lou was a big surprise, but he nailed it

This was great research on the Wayans and In Living Color. I enjoyed watching all three episodes. Great work 👍🏿
I personally liked a low down dirty shame I thought it was a great movie
Classic. "Shane! Shane!" In Wayman voice 😅
It’s one of my favorite black cinemas 🖤
@@sweetsadi27 Went to go see it when it opened in Early November 1994.
IT WAS A CLASSIC. One of my top 10 favorite movies

Great documentary, I watched all 3 parts.

This was the absolute best series! Thank you so much for all your thorough work on this! ❤
Thank you for this series. You don't know how much I needed this. ❤❤❤
Just finished all three Parts back to back! Great job:) Would love to see you tackle Living Single in the future. We both know you want to... ;)
Dude, thank you so much. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch! In terms of Living Single, that may or may not be something I'm already working on. All I'll say is...I have plans 🤫
Thank you for making these videos about in living color. It was one of my favorite shows growing up!
My Wife and Kids aired on ABC and was canceled five years after The Wayans Brothers, not ten.
To Jane for Short and her documentaries...simply....Chef's 💋!
Danny Glover as pop's I can't see that bc both the Wayans are comedians and so John Witherspoon.John fits as pop's for the brothers personalities sake.
Love this series of this family.
Thank u for all the hard work and many hours putting these 3 vids together. I know it was exhausting research. I appreciate it. I was a fan of in living color
I enjoyed this series, and I thank you for bringing it to us ❤.
This was very well put together.
I hope you achieve your dream of smashing Shawn Wayans.

Thank you for confirming that I didn’t miss anything by not seeing 50 shades! 👍🏾
great job
Excellent series! So glad I stumbled on your channel! I’m subbing ❤, keep it up!
Jane for Short, you're pretty good.👍❤❤🔥
Damon show was dope to me intro was fire too
Great work
The Wayanhead cartoon character look like the 1970's Fat Albert character from Bill Cosby.
Awesome job on this video
Danny Glover is a good actor but he does not have the comedic chops
Weatherspoon was the best choice they made the best decision
And i must note that Damon's movie with Bruce Willis in The Last Boy Scout was ine of my favorite movies.
Danny Glover???
What! No Way.
I respect Mr Danny Glover. He’s a great actor BUT I don’t think that wldv been great fit.
" you got liquor in you " .?😂😂😂
2:47 - 😂😂😂😂
I think it's funny you mentioned it, but I have yet to stay awake through 50 Shades of Black. 😂😂😂😂
Lol @ the Primm cut lol
Low down dirty shame is a great movie yt critics because we love the movie
Boomerang birthed Pops
Dance Flick was the last movie Marlon, Shawn and Keenen worked on together. Keenen just didnt direct it but he was a writer and played a role spoofing Steve Harvey
By the way.....NEW SUB!! NEW SUBBIE😊!!
❤️🤞🏾
"I'll pull you by yo nappy weave!' 🎵🎵
NBC didn't want John Witherspoon because he was on the cancelled Richard Pryor show back in the 70s. It was probably for the best NBC didn't take the Wayans brother show anyway.
10:23 I will say that the Blankman alter ego would,ve worked really well on a geek sitcom like "The Big Bang Theory" or "Silicon valley"
I honestly never knew Tommy Davidson had a substance abuse problem until i saw this doc. I guess it should have been obvious since his characters on ILC always seemed so strung-out and animated. Glad he eventually got his stuff together.
They've all had nice successful runs on sitcoms ❤🔥💯
How are these guys pushing 60 yet still look like 29 or 30?
My wife and kids was sooooo good 🤍
If I'm not mistaken, those two dude with those beaver teeth as Keenan and his brothers are viewing a footage on his show are the sons of one of the great comedian Paul Mooney.
A Low Down Dirty Shame is a Cult Classic. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Marlon Waynes was also in the movie dungeons and dragons
It's interesting how many times the phrase "it's fine" is mentioned referring to Wayans projects. Because yeah. That's a lot of their work. It's overall fine. Keenan and Damon undoubtedly do the heavy lifting in terms of quality work. Kim is somewhere in the middle and Shawn and Marlon...oof. lol
Hollyweird only want the Waynans around to copy from but they can’t execute like the them. Yes some of these projects Make no sense but they are hugely funny classics!😂
It shows what great parents they had -
Don't be a Menace is the Greatest Movie of ALL time.
For the part of the world that missed out on Da Underground...it was like an In Living Color spinoff
After seeing this there's a movie there to be made.
