Watch Us Demo 87 New Pedals From Our Favorite Makers
Вставка
- Опубліковано 25 жов 2022
- It's been a while since we've done a "What's New" live stream. In the mean time, we've been hoarding...collecting a lot of pedals from the best in the industry, some of them were released as early as July, others as recently as yesterday. We decided it was time. NOTE: at 1:20:17, we start talking about the Corn Buffer from Demonic Machines. Lucky, the creator, uses they/them pronouns and we incorrectly referred to Lucky as "he." They have a new pedal company called Audio! Audio! Go check it out - audioaudiomn.com/
This is gonna be a lot of fun.

JHS should make a power supply called the Shameless Plug
Boom!!! 👍🏼👍🏼
YES! thats a great idea, JOSH MAKE IT!!!!
I couldn't agree more
love it
*Insert “Shut Up and Take My Money” meme
This was amazing, please do this quarterly.
Daily. Also, it looks like you won a gift.
Nick and Driller just casually killing it on the drum and bass fills in the background while Josh oscillates a non-guitar pedal.
I expect this at least once every week until y’all have demo’d every single pedal ever made.
😂
I. J
Wow those jams were a treat. Unreal dynamic interplay. Bunch a fuggin badasses
Driller on that opening jam was hitting all the best bass notes
Great format guys. Shorter and more often please as we get some real reactions and the chaos provide magic
This was the best episode, yet. I vote for the 2 guitar set up with Driller on bass. A groovy 3 hour tour.
2:22:32 is 100% the heaviest tone Josh has ever had on this show and, dare I say, the closest he has come to metal. Well done.
You can see the power of the chug possessing his body
@@desertdrives7482 There's a first time for everything.
Do you know what pedal that is? I dozed off & have rewound, fast forwarded & I can't find him saying what it is. Maybe I just need to go back to sleep haha
@@rferguson3 I think it was the victory kraken.
Looooove the two guitar, Driller-on-Bass band!!!Willing to beg for more!!!
Absolutely love this extended format. Keep ‘em comin
You guys friggen rule. These things are almost like Tupperware parties for guitar nerds.
Cute analogy. Very true
I'd leave these parties with a lighter wallet hahaha ❤
Enjoyed the jams as I always do. Always a good time watching you guys having fun. Puts me in a good mood so thank you.
I need a JHS Christmas album with more like Tidings of Comfort and Fuzz! I'm not kidding, not even a little bit. I would pay the price of TWO coffee's for it!!
lol
Dude. Your jams are everything I’ve been wanting out of music lately. Nick’s drums are so perfectly in pocket it blows my mind. Thank you guys.
yes we want more of these, several times a year, great first impressions showing a bunch of pedals some never see, very useful and entertaining
God bless y'all
I was listening to this in my car. The bass drum literally kick ass!! I mean I can feel something hit my ass on every kick!
I loved this! Very entertaining and informative. Please do this again!
They are getting their pink floyd on. Nice jam.
Love the long form style and the 4 piece band jams! Appreciate the time put in for this and hope for more!
Idea for next time: pre-make some boards with randomly selected pedals, say like 4-6 pedals per board. That way all y'all gotta do when you change over all you gotta do is plug in the power and amp/guitar cables and not worry about patch cables.
Oh and make everyone wear duck costumes.
This is such a fresh and musical way of demoing pedals. Thank you Josh
What I appreciate with this type of activity is that it makes us discover pedals and pedal companies some of us may have never heard or before.
This is exactly what it's doing for me. I'm fairly new to pedals (bought my first pedal about 2 years ago, a fulltone OCD) and I'm learning about so many companies through this video 😄
I'd definitely love to see this as often as you feel is feasible. It might help for Josh, Addison and Driller to each make like 3 eight to ten pedal boards before the show? Then you know exactly what you're playing and you just have to match up power supplies when the time comes, and you'd still get to at least 50ish pedals.
Loved the jam around 40 minutes! I didn’t remember Friends was so gratuitously violent! Your shoegaze-y jams always rule
It took me a week to watch the entire show, but I loved every second of it! Please, do this again!
Always happy to see Dead Air get some love. I play in a couple hardcore bands & Dead Air pedals are half of my pedalboard (Tube Nightmare, Generator 4 & the Generator 5). With those I get everything I need, weird noises included. Gen 4&5 into a cranked RE-20 sounds bonkers. Also, I got the Liberator & the Sawzall. Both killer pedals!
Just ordered the 3 series octave reverb. I was gonna get the PG-14, but I need money for coffee tomorrow.
This format is awesome! Would love to see more of it.
Not sure if I need to buy all of the pedals Addison is using or if I just really like his playing, haha!
Both!
loving the jam around the 2h point. that bassline puts the sound immediately in Three Mile Pilot territory, awesome level of jamming overall, top episode
My FAVORITE episode ever ! Hands down please do this often .I always love Josh's playing ,and this was no different .Buuuut I have to give Addison his props .Every single note ,every phrase choice was simply to die for .Your tone to steal a quote from Josh "melted butter" might I add with rare ,and endangered King crab dipped in it ! Yeah it was that good .DANG it .
12:30 this long one-chord jam is one of the best jams I've heard on this channel full of good jams.
Loving the jams. This format is a great variation on the usual show. Maybe do one of these once or twice a year. Thanks.
The bit where Joshua started singing was amazing.
why thanks
@@jhspedals do it more Joshua!!!!
Great video guys! The jam that started around 30:20 was genuinely so good - I'd listen to that as a full song. Reminds me of Jackson Browne meets the National
While listening to this I’ve fixed an old Japanese reverb/ tremolo unit and now I’m almost finished with my Mas Effect Christmas tree pedal build. 🤘🏻 I wish there were more companies that made diy pedal kits, they are a lot of fun for someone aspiring to build pedals. 😅 I’m still learning how to design circuits, weird to learn by reading but effective none the less. 🤘🏻
These are the most wonderful 3 hours I've ever watched on UA-cam. Please do it again!
Nick's just the most amazing drummer out there.
Josh does metai from 2:20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thumbs up for the quarterly marathon. Thumbs up for Dan and Mick visiting. Thumbs up for the tones and for the rhythm section who put in a stellar shift.
hello from the UK
loved this format.
one thing i would suggest would be if we could actually see what is live on each board and what’s being adjusted and what’s running into what. Also, I watch everything you do, and the quality of the jams this time were next level. Keep it up, this is what youtube was made for
Paul
I hope yall do this quarterly. It may sound sad but life can be sometimes really busy and this maybe one of those opportunities where us viewers are "hanging out" with "friends" who love pedals/music. I love that yall are using modelers with pedals. I have all three UA amps pedals (Dream, Ruby and Woodrow) and love them. But surprisingly, i have a NUX MG-30 (bought some Choptone packs) and it work FANTASTIC with pedals! I have the following chain going into it Boss OC-3>BAE Royal Fuzz>Constellation Fuzz>FoxPedal Kingdom v1> SSS SRV> Warped Vinyl HiFi> Cali76 Stacked> NUX MG-30 (with Choptone Rock Pack vol1)
That's a yes on doing this quarterly. The long form jams are a blast for those of us playing along.
Cool you included FLAMMA 🎃 they really have some nice sounds for so little money
I’m really intrigued because of JHS about that pedal. I really want something for serious ambiance that’s not above 369
@@thoott3952 If you don't mind me chiming in Mooer has its 7 line of mini's that are pretty dang good for the money .I have the reverb for a little living room mini board .I love it ,like having 7 preset Reverbs .There's also a Delay ,Ambient ,and Synth in the series .
Some great jams from the boys with a huge range of effects and guitar tones, great to hear a vast variety of so many different pedals in a short space of time.
Joshua is in the box!! Sorry he’s behind the box cos Josh has the box!!
I loved this marathon. The only thing that i would add is keyboards/synths just for a bit of variety
Twas a good video plenty of sounds and groove to enjoy, I watched in three segments, fine n dandy!
Guys, you need to make more jam session videos while using different pedals. This shit got me back into music. Thanks! ❤
BEST GUITAR SHOW! on the interwebs. Hands down. Do this regularly, please
Love to see this quarterly! You could split the pedals up into groups of 3 or 4 ahead of time to expedite the process.
I was glad to see a Mr Black pedal, especially the one that you chose, very cool designs
Great as always but Nick's drum tone is extra crispy and perfect to my ears today. 👏😍
Nice compression on the snare, very chunky
That was great, I love your jams
I saw your pedals at Guitar Center Dallas today. I bought a BOSS SD-1W.
I feel like I'm sitting in on a Pink Floyd jam session. This is phenomenal. I feel asleep with the headphones on and my UA-cam MyMix cycled into this. I literally felt like being woken up by beckoning of another dimension.
I would pay $15 to see your band live. Sometimes.
This is great. It's like having friends over.
The video is just starting, and I already saw Mr. Black box! Great pedals. 👍🏻🤘🏻
I haven't even watched it yet but I know I'm gonna be in heaven for the next 3 hour pedal bonanza.
I love this type of show.. Chaos + pedals + funny = 😃
4 times a year guys!! I loved this soooooo much.
I love the shaky handheld camera!!! Reminds me of blairwitch and 90s MTV!!!
Josh was looking up like angels were going to shower pedals upon him
Using 3 morning commutes to take all this in. Thanks for the laughs and tonez and feeding my pedal addiction 😂
That mattoverse tone after the corn song is SLICK! Thanks addy
Cool ass little jam. A good way to pass some time and review pedals at the same time
Definitely do this quarterly...wouldn't hate if it was more frequently either
Just glad to see someone finally classed that dump up and was playing a K-Line Truxton.
Driller looks like he could be Henry Rolins unknown son. And man that tone Addison had going at the start was amazing.
I was here till the end Twice! once at work and then a real watch at home over the weekend.
One of your best episodes!
Awesome to finally see EAE at your show! 💜
Love this format
Acorn Amps represent! ATL heroes!
Doomy timeless jam. Spontaneous and dreamy. Magic
Wow. That one jam left me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe
Would definitely watch this quarterly
Every jam a banger, gotta have driller on more and addison on guitar. Some tasty lines and great playin by all.
I love the jam at around 33:00 even...it's like the Hold Steady has its own bar-band/cover band
Yes, I want to see this format quarterly.
These guys have more fun than what should legally be allowed.
‘You can never have too many G-Clamps/ Effects Pedals/ Socks’
what can i say.....that was fun ... educational and cool
At 1:29:27 I finished the tree pedal build 🤘🏻 you guys rock to have on while building.
I sooo want an actual playlist/album/collection of all of their little song demos ugh
Brutal "under-the-bus" moment there near the end.
This could be the greatest pedal video of all time
You guys are awesome! Really enjoy watching these videos! Most of the time very intuitive, but always entertaining! Keep it up, if I get the Pedals, do I get the Boxes? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
When you played the Tiding Pedal I was conjuring some of the most brutal black metal lyrics to the image of Warhammer 40K space marines versus Orks... We bring him tidings of Blood and Oil
Josh was the name of the 80s. Then Chris and Matt. Y’all have three Joshes. I had two bffs in high school named Josh who rode around together. They gave three other guys a ride home one day. Someone yelled “Josh!”. Car haults and the driving Josh called out, “which one?”. There were FIVE Joshes in one car. I doubt that we’ll ever be graced by such an occurrence again.
To the other josh... my Dr was impressed with my knowledge of japanese writing utensils. Thank you sir. Hats off.
Yes! lol
@@jhspedals omg now youre officially part of the dialogue with my dr. What was the pencil that rotated the tip so it was always sharp? He was interested.
Yes please do this quarterly 🎉❤
Drums sound great.
Ok so what happened here was there was a “bring your kids to work “ day, the adults just went home and now , years later , you guys are still playing... awesome 👍😀🎸🇬🇧
Dude 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🤟
That was egregiously fkin cool
Also, really dig the 4 piece set up. Driller brought it!
that first track jam rips, i'd buy that cassette
I don't know why it was so funny to me, but I almost died laughing when she said: "Thanks for the pizza rolls, Mary". 😄
So funny, and such a good sport 👍
JHS should also make a Talk Box or Wah pedal called Words is Hard.
Good to see a Fjordfuzz pedal, I love their stuff! I feel like its twenty-third century shit man.
If you guys add a description with the list of gears you used it could be an awsome enciclopedy of effect pedals!!
“Cow Killer” is another name for a Velvet Ant, which is actually a type of hairy wingless wasp with a very intense sting. Cow Killers typically have a red and black fuzzy appearance, which looks like what the pedal maker was going for with the graphics.
i like this tidbit. thank you.
