The Israelis have learnt well from the Nazis that innocent human life is of no concern when a cause is concerned. Here the cause has been the virtual elimination of the Palestinians from the land awarded to them by a UN mandate giving Israel 51% of the peninsula while the former got 49". Danny Boy, the former Israeli foreign minister quotes the Nazis, but he forgets the Irgun and Hanagah terrorists who started the process of uprooting and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians.
Hamas only came around in the mid 80s while the people in Gaza have lived within a blockade since the mid 60s. On land that was legally given to them. And with Netanyahu in his 6th term count the number of settlements that have come up by the thousands on Palestinian land now decimated to scattered villages by the Israelis. Obviously they looked to the newly formed Hamas for succour. This was why they voted Hamas to power. What did the Israelis do when persecuted by the Nazis? They looked to to the allies for the same.
People having their dinner, students returning from schools, Palestinians returning from abroad for a visit etc suddenly themselves on the streets with homes taken over, all under the excuse of the Israeli right to security, forgetting that of the Palestinians also wanted their security and not being kicked our of their own homes after finishing dinner. Gordon Levy is a well known Israeli, a journalist and photographer where he portrays the evil side of his country. It is worth watching them.
