Awesome video haha. Those funny bits always crack me up. I don't know if you recall, but i once gave the idea to add a way to which your kits would actually assist and blink the lights in the direction you want to turn on the road. Looking at this new project, and the way it reacts to your voice and how you pre-programmed actual colorschemes/movements, could it be possible to for example while riding say: "turn left" and the kit actually lights up the left side in orange (or any color you like) blink mode as to signal you're going left? This is probably far-fetched, but i think you are closer to this then i realize now. Either way, good luck in the future ;).
The microphone is in the controller. The microphone would need to be in your helmet for that to work so I likely won't be adding this feature at this stage, sorry. Cool idea though.

Is it possible that the Sound Mode, where the light increase with the sound volume, could also change color depending on the pitch/frequency :D ? For example : - normal bass voice : blue light - loud high pitch (motor in high rev) : big red light I don't know if the hardware is able to do such a thing. It has a microphone, as you said. But maybe it's only able to measure sound volume/amplitude. But if it is able to make a basic FFT, it could give you a pitch data. I was thinking about the cheap guitar tuners that everybody can have for a couple of buck, and blink LEDs depending on the note played. That's just the function that can realize this idea.

I JUST bought the second gen by supporting you on Kickstarter and think this is such a cash idea! As all motorcyclists know, it’s a lot more dangerous to ride at night and “reflective gear” helps but it’s plain ugly. On top of that; all of us that purchase a new motorcycle (well most of us at least) first thing we do is remove the reflective ding dongs near the front wheel because they look dumb. Personally, I ride a straight black MT-09, sport black riding gear and I tried to make myself stick out a bit by wearing a shoei helmet that has graphics on it but.. Yeah it doesn’t help at all. At night, it’s a guarantee while riding in SF that at least one person pulls out in front of me… this will lessen the chance of taking flight! TRULY SO excited about the product and feel privileged to have contributed . I’ll be wearing my helmet to coachella

@@bg4406 Yes, battery life is longer. It's difficult to come up with a specific time range as it widely depends on the animation and brightness setting chose by the user. But it is definitely longer lasting AND brighter than my old kits. More on this on July 10th. No option to upgrade battery at this time. I don't think it'll be required and would add significant complexity/cost to the design.

Personally, I ride a straight black MT-09, sport black riding gear and I tried to make myself stick out a bit by wearing a shoei helmet that has graphics on it but.. Yeah it doesn’t help at all. At night, it’s a guarantee while riding in SF that at least one person pulls out in front of me… this will lessen the chance of taking flight! TRULY SO excited about the product and feel privileged to have contributed . I’ll be wearing my helmet to coachella

@@bg4406 Yes, battery life is longer. It's difficult to come up with a specific time range as it widely depends on the animation and brightness setting chose by the user. But it is definitely longer lasting AND brighter than my old kits. More on this on July 10th.
No option to upgrade battery at this time. I don't think it'll be required and would add significant complexity/cost to the design.
