Questions: watched the app walk through and it confirms two things:
1) app requires location services to pair - why in these days of privacy concerns?
2) you have to press the pairing button sequence EVERY time? I've never had a Bluetooth device before that's needed this, once paired it should be paired.
I was looking for some reviews on UA-cam for a new helmet but I stumbled upon your videos. I was intrigued with your evo kits and saw it was from 2 years. I asked myself, “ wonder if he has new designs?” Bruh! You didn’t disappoint. This new shit is sick!! Might just buy these and stick them on my icon helmet. It’ll definitely take it to the next level.

Pulled the trigger and ordered one today. Will order a second when they shipping stuff clears up. What you made is really creative and appealing. I am curious at how hard it would be to transfer the nightshift from one helmet to another. Have you switched the lights from one helmet to another pretty easily? If there are any added adhesives or items to use please let us know. Best of luck on your continued business growth!

1 year update, silicone is flaking/peeling off is pieces in multiple areas and is not causing the strips to look pretty bad. any further im sure itll be basically useless. would highly recommend they switch the material used and reimburse those who were affected..

when you think about it, this could really help find someone that got lost in the woods.
I sent a request to you guys a few weeks ago but haven't heard back yet. It was about that at my Night Shift in several places the silicone comes off and the LEDs are exposed.
I had also written a review on your site, including pictures, but that has not yet been published.
Does anyone else have the problem that the silicone comes off? Looks just not very good, because it also happens in the places where black are.

having this same issue, whatever silicone or whatever the material is that you guys used its junk it literally flakes off worse and worse its like taking a bouncy ball from the coin machine and crushing it basically same texture. the silicone is coming off more and more and its pretty disappointing to say the least considering the cost of the product. personally i feel you guys should be responsible of replacing just the strips not the module itself for people who were backers of the kickstarter like myself.
Got the first model a few years ago and one side broke off. Gonna order these new ones soon! Can’t wait!

In case of India, it comes around 20k, which makes it rather expensive, and something for the "BIKER UA-camRS", "YOUTH" and "EXHIBITORS", which is a shame, due to its practicality. If it was just a bit efficient on cost, it could have done so much better in the country, especially when we suffer 10000s of accident due to poor street lighting , and stuff. If you go in mass production some day, do make a deal with a helmet company, cause this device deserves to be part of every rider's kit. Right now, this device is perfect example of idiom, "Spices are expensive than chicken itself".
I happened to have a video of you on the youtube home and I became interested in these accessories, when you made the sign to check the law, I did it and I found that the accessory must be approved together with the helmet in order to use it according to the ECE regulation 22.06 in force from 1 January 2021 (I think it is the same law for the whole EU as regards protections, clothing and accessories for motorcyclists)

Installed mine on my Ruroc rg1-dx. Love it besides having to keep re connecting it when I minimize the app. It'll keep the current animation/color, but if I want to change it after minimizing the app I have to reconnect it.
You need to have it connected to your motorcycle. When you stop the color of the helmet would turn to red as well.

How can I select the 2 colors manually for the Yin Yang effect, I cant select the second color
the light on helmet actually increase safety of rider at night, but placement of battery and controller was not safety i assume, if it placed on side or intercom area it will be nice.
Do we have to charge the device before changing colors or is it charged when coming out of the box. Mine is connected but no results.

my controller isnt working. It stayed red after i unplugged it overnight and stayed red the whole day. I was unable to turn it off. it didnt power on the lights. The red light is now gone, but its not charging at all. need help
I am in India and getting Nightshift here is too costly, 20k inr + shipping to India (just to put this in perspective the helmet I use is ECE compliant and costs 3.7k inr). Would it be beneficial to manufacture your product in India, sell here and across the globe at less price. I would love to see the original product being sold at around 3k-4k in India. That would be just awesome.

You can install our kit on anything with enough surface area and a smooth surface. Yes, the lights and controller are stuck on with 3M adhesives. Once you remove them, they cannot be reused because the adhesives are one-time use.

Why do you need location info for a light mod?
Its just required for the LightMode controller to find your smartphone during pairing.

@Ross Outdoors Probably because you've already set it up and doesn't need Location info anymore...
@Ross Outdoors I asked my developer for clarification on this. We use a certain library in our code that requires location services for Android operating systems older than Android 12. So it was either not require location services, but every Android user needs at least Android 12, or require location services and allow older Android OS's to use our app. We went with the more inclusive option.

@@LightModeHelmets HJC RPHA 11, Bell Qualifier DLX, Shoei RF-1200, or Arai Quantum X. I brought the printable template to the store an hour away, but it flew away 😅

The Night Shift should have no problems fitting with the RPHA 11 or Qualifier either, but you should double-check the Qualifier if that's your top pick right now.

I didn't even realize I got the knock off version of your Evo lights. I love them but the quality is crappy so def gonna get the real stuff. Do you plan on making that design with the multi colors and brighter like the night shift? I like the 2 on bottom and 2 on top design but I like the night shift features
Is this working on mtb helmets ?
How long do these strips last till they burn out? Also if you have a set on your backpack and helmet can you connect to both with the app? I'm sure that's what devices was, but I wanted to make sure.
LED's don't really burn out. HIDs and incandescant lights usually do.
Currently, you can only connect one at a time to the LightMode app, but we're currently working on an update to let you connect/control multiple sets at once.
