to people not understanding why tokaku is struggling with relatively early levels shes playing on hard mode where the input window is VERY tight.
Yea i wonder why she didnt turn down the difficulty
to add to this, the window of input is 40ms, or approximately 3 frames. hard mode does not mess around

@@memesong21 fnf is also technically in early access, but it's already 7 weeks and it still did nothing original with the mechanics and story (except maybe week 6), but rd is already showcasing an insane amount of creativity and love within 5 acts

I love the background detail in 5-1 where missing causes the strike lights on the scoreboard to turn on one by one, and each three you miss turns one of the out lights on.
check out 2p mode in 5-1 (the scoreboard is actually used)

Man I love this game so much. Act 5 really took my expectations (which were already high due to all 7BG has already done) and actually blew them into smetherines. That boss level was so epic, it felt like a movie trailer or an anime opening. Just wonderful, purely wonderful.
I got up to the boss and 5-1N and boy it is fun. That boss level is stupidly hard and seeing freeze come from customs to canon story is wild

Might pick this one up later. Looks great, love the soundtrack and apparently the dev got a Steam Deck a couple years ago so it probably works on that too.
Be careful! The last post I saw them make on RD on the Steam Deck, the window dancing levels (earliest one being 2-X) made the game softlock.

this game is so fun
a bit of a late comment but i noticed when playing 5-x during the abnormal beats you can actually use the baseballs as a visual cue instead of just guessing each time
I've yet to purchase this game, but man, this just absolutely a blast to just watch. I might just buy this honestly. At the end there, my eyes got a bit watery from just how sweet the dialogue was. We went from an impatient dumbass who cares about nothing but baseball to a mentor that is caring and understanding of others. This made me feel things and no other rhythm game has done that before. Bravo.

It's kinda fun to see that such an amazing Rhythm gamer doesn't have rhythm.
I was about to tell you here in the comments that act 5 is out, glad you noticed it before me lol
After seeing this video I HAD to try the final level in hard mode and yup it's really hard lol. Took me like 5 tries with checkpoints while on normal I first tried it. (in the end the HP doesn't actually matter anymore after the "I'm stepping away" thing. Otherwise it would have taken me a LOT more tries lol)
You should play the other levels of the 5th act they ar really challenging and fun.

Act 5 WAS SO HARD for me it took me 10 or 20 attempts minimum.
I can’t tell what’s more impressive.
1.) You can’t pronounce “Middlesea Hospital”
2.) You’ve been playing on super hard mode.

oh my god all of it is so cool and the fucking beginning art especially like my guy is so scaredx oif what he loses and fears that hes going to lose what and hates the fact that action cant be taken further to begin with. hes so scared that hell lose all this work that hes p[ut intop his career, esp being top of his team and always found comfort.
then eventually finding comfort in being someone else, teaching other people and witnessing somethinjg that is the beauty of teaching and how to slowly improve. every score being a fruit falling from a tree of doubt, growth from a blossom.

I think from a technical and from a gameplay perspective this is the best act of the game. Buuuut from a story perspective I didn't really like it all that much. Still a great game though and a free update with great levels isn't gonna make it any worse lol
Personally, I believe the story of act 5 acts more like an intermission story, to set up the rest of the game. I suspect we'll have at least 2 more chapters where Paige and Edega play a major role, and a final chapter where Ian finishes fixing the defibrillator and Edega gets mad or something. But that's all speculation.
i like it tbh - really fits with the theme of just like keeping your life going in spite of everything, with lucky's finding new passion as a coach instead of an athelete showing that
but yeah the gameplay is insanely good also

Fun fact (but not related to act 5): In levels where ian helps you, his leniency is the same as yours, but he uses the hard mode button, they might've fixed this (honestly it looks unintentional) but it might also just be me playing on very easy
