I used to think so too but what we really needed was a kick to the heat that was "Don't Look Up". Captain Planet is a neo-lib capatalist thing that pushes the oil industry's mistakes and policies onto consumers. The youtuber Climate Town explains it a lot better.
Just don't let Netflix make it, it'll be live action and unnecessarily dark and angsty .

One thing thats always bugged me about the Planeters in this show was that your could NOT use there rings while captain planet was around......And they should of used recylsable bullets to kill them.
Don't know much details about the series, but all bullets should be pretty easy to recycle. You just need to melt them down and recast them.
Yeah. It's like having a mecha anime transformation sequence only to end up with a giant Mechazord... alongside all the smaller mechas. There's a reason CP says "by your powers combined", he's not a damn bonus. Of course, the reason this bothers people, is that even if you accept magic, you still expect some basic conservation laws to function.

And 5. would of simply gone back into their rings had much damage been dealt to him... He is a manifestation of elemental powers after all.
Oh, and Gaia would of likely just stopped their rings from working in the first place if they tried something like that.
... But I highly doubt Robot Chicken really cared about the accuracy of their joke.

I can forgive that, but what I can't forgive is the fact that none of their attacks would have actually hurt him. Not only is he extremely tough but Earth elements are part of his strength not his weakness. - Still, it was kinda funny.

I've always thought that the 2 planeteers Wheeler & Linka should have hooked up & began a relationship.
I don't know if you'll see this 5 years later, but there was an episode based around that idea. Everyone stopped caring about the environment and Linka kept getting pregnant, having a LOT of kids. It was a very weird episode.
After seeing this hilarious video now I want to see the short video miniseries from funny or die when Don cheadle played Captain Planet
