It really is about the training process - in a small area, doing it for a short period of time over a few days, increasing time each time. Making sure they know how the fence works. It's a bit of patience with the process but it works. Once we're grazing, I try to always make sure they have enough to eat and the fence is always hot - that way they don't get any other ideas. Yes! Training is very important but it can be done. And being diligent about rehoming those who do not respect the fence, plus making during they always have enough to eat too!
