  • This video is about how horrible the Lekki Epe Expressway road (past Ajah all the way to Ibeju-Lekki) has become during rainy season. The potholes in Lagos Nigeria are beyond anything I have experienced before now. This is a car vlog, I will be driving around Lagos showing y'all different sides of Lagos.

Its common practice in Nigeria for the officials in charge of things like this to award road repairs to contractors who utilize inferior materials and just carry out a subpar job. They do this on purpose, so that they can make money from road repairs yearly.

@@IveomaMedia Its not due to developing .It is a lack of Maintenance Culture! That road is about 20-30 years old .Why has it being allowed to fall into disrepair? Believe it or not Nigeria in the 1960s and 70s had better maintained infrastructure! In the 1940,50s Nigeria had a railway system that ran across the whole country that was allowed to fall into disrepair. Then inflated contracts are given out to build everything from scratch . I have lived in the US for decades and I have not seen any new roads built just the same roads being repaired and resurfaced on a regular basis! Or if needed they will add lanes. The irony is maintaining our infrastructure will actually add millions of needed jobs to the economy!

Considering the amount of rains and water channel systems in that country Nigeria, even if you bought NY roads to that lagos it will give you the same result.
