My boss got called misogynist once, in front of his boss. He simply said "thank you" and ignored it. Apologizing isn't necessary when you've done nothing wrong. Java is definitely more feminine than C, that is a fact.
Also, what are you comparing it against? Waterfall not only gave you cement shoes, it gave you a full cement overcoat and dumped enough water on top you were never getting back above the surface.
Great conversation. Thanks for giving us a chance to hear from this master. Put your cameras over your screens so it at least looks like you are talking to us.
I approached this episode with escepticism, afraid that it would turn into boring-annoying political topics. It turned out to be a great episode, fun, interesting stories ans lessons to learn from the -now a legend- great Uncle Bob. Thank you guys, well done 👏🏻
He might be talking about a Digi-Comp 1. I had two booklets as a kid that would describe how to build a "computer" out of cardboard sliders. It didn't work too well with the cardboard I had, but I am sure I could get it to work with better materials today. Of course today I would wonder if one could build a 64 bit CPU out of plastic... ;-)
27:00 I remembered guessed Roy and then my mom remembered Will Rogers. Will was the older comedian guy and Roy was mostly an actor, musician, and not a comedian.

OMG... Best quote ever "If you find a professor that has written code in anger, that is a valuable thing!"
Scrum is not a light-weight process. It is as heavy as cement shoes.
Original Scrum, or the bastardized version running around the industry nowadays?

The guy with a lasso was Will Rogers
" Bob is a legend in the computing world best known for his role in " - nobody needs to introduce me. I'm a legend.
Very true
