Making every Pokémon fast and hit hard isn't a buff, you're just making them all the same. The point of Pikaclones is that they are weak, they don't need to have 130 speed and 120 in attacks. You can buff them without it being ridiculous.

Something I think would be really cool on Minun is giving it the Power Spot ability. The original gimmick was Plus + Minus, but they really only work for each other. Power Spot is similar, but more widely applicable.
Also, the proper way of improving Morpeko is to improve his gimmick, not to blatently ignore it. This is how each of Morpeko's forms should operate: - Full Belly Mode: Morpeko cannot eat Berries in that form. At the end of the turn, Morpeko transitions to Hangry mode. If possible, Morpeko will recycle its Berry while doing so. - Hangry Mode: If Morpeko holds a Berry at the end of the turn, it will eat it and go to Full Belly Mode. If it eats its Berry normally, it will make the form change immediately (and will go back to Hangry Mode at the end of the same turn, recycling its Berry). This way, Morpeko will get the buff from its Berry every 2 turns, maybe even more often. This should definitely make him unique.

My thoughts: Pikachu - I can go along with that. Raichu - Add Galvanize. The early-route-rodents like Ratticate, Linoone, Furret, etc would be a good list. Fossil Pokémon as well. Would also love Eeveelutions, Jolteon being my favorite Pokémon and all. If you’re looking for specific Pokémon to look at, Aggron and Zebstrika are plainly not good, but it would be cool if they were usable.
Also, for Eeveelutions: Universal: - BST 525 -> 550. Base 65s -> 75s, Base 95s -> 100s. - Add Focus Blast, Extreme Speed, Play Rough, Crunch. Maybe some other moves. - bring back Hidden Power, and make Secret Power a Physical version. Vaporeon: Add Multiscale + Quiver Dance Jolteon: Add No Guard + Zap Cannon, Seed Flare Flareon: Add "All Due Haste" (see below) + Dragon Rush and Wild Charge. Espeon: Add Technician + Mud Shot, Icy Wind, Snarl Umbreon: Add "Mastermind" (see below) + Heal Bell Leafeon: Add Protean + Earthquake/Headlong Rush, Stone Edge/Rock Slide Glaceon: Add Filter + Earth Power, Dazzling Gleam Sylveon: Add Regenerator "All Due Haste" = secondary effects moves gain +1 priority in exchange for losing secondary effect. "Mastermind" = move selection cannot be impeded by anything (including own held item).
these are all so cool, but i was also thinking about adding signature moves to the hoenn pikaclones (cuz they're my fave) for minun something like a move called Thunderstorm could be good with its base 70 base power, summons the rain and 10% chance to para, for plusle maybe a move called Voltagefire or Plasmic fire can be used, with the same base power but sets up electric terrain with 10% chance to para or burn instead.
Changing Morpeko's Aura Wheel makes a lot of sense, but it does kind of make the ability useless. I'd like to see something like: Ability Seed Stash: At the start of each turn the user gains a Berry Seed item if it is not holding anything. (Acts as a single use leftovers) At the end of each turn the user swaps between Full and Hangry mode if it has or hasn't consumed an item that turn. Increases the users STAB by 20% for Electric/Dark moves depending on the current form. Morpeko learns Fling by TM, but it could be moved to an early spot in the learn set to give the pokemon an interesting trade-off between self-healing and boosted dark damage, as well as making the interaction with your changed Aura Wheel more dynamic (since you can still further boost the always-stab move by managing the pokemon's state) Maybe that limits the held-item game a bit too much since almost any other held item would lock Morpeko into hangry mode; perhaps a setup move that allows Morpeko to store a held item for later (retrieving and using the item instantly when the move is next used) could also be introduced.
I feel like a buff to the regional bird, rodent and bug could be a good next step, but not quite in the same format of the previous video, since these Pokémon tend to be strong-ish early ingame but fall off(especially rodent and bug) so doing a playthrough focused buff for them could be more interesting than just making them competitively viable
Amazing video. I think that all these buffs would make a genuine difference in their viability, but I just wanted to share my ideas as I expected this to go down more of the "support with some level of offensive capabilities" route for some of them. For Plusle and Minun, I would keep the type changes and move additions, I would reduce the SpA buff by 10. I would also give Plusle will o wisp and sunny day, and I would give minun rain dance and whirlpool. This would allow them both to function as weather setters as well as providing support to the team. I would also give them both taunt as an alternative to encore, and finally I would give them ally switch. This allows Plusle to overall be a good sunny setter when partnered with chlorophyll or protosynthesis mons like venusaur or walking wake who can hit the ground types it is weak to, and minun can work as a rain setter using ally switch to soak up (pun intended) the electric moves that want to hit its water type partner via volt absorb, as well as be a nuisance using scald to fish (pun also intended) for burns and whirlpool to trap in annoying pokemon. For Dedenne, I think that changing its stat buffs to be: +44 hp, -10 atk, +30 def, +10 spa, +20 SpD would make it able to live a ton of hits, especially with cheek pouch. Adding follow me to its movepool would simply allow it to soak up hits and be a nuisance with nuzzle. Idk if alluring voice would be used much, but it couldn't hurt to add as well. Finally, I would also put parting shot just to be even more annoying. For Togedemaru, I would change the attack and speed buff to only +5 each, and give it +20 in both defenses. This is because when togedemaru was used, it was mainly used as an encore locker with fake out pressure, similar to raichu, but with a steel typing in exchange for slightly more optimised stats. Buffing its defenses would allow it to do that jjob even better along with maybe even being able to run endeavor. I would also give it explosion, mainly just because its funny. For Morpeko, I would keep all the changes, but also give it swords dance, allowing it to snowball with aura wheel. Once again, these are just my alternate suggestions, and amazing video.
i love reading the replies like this with well thought out stuff, so lemme rq address each: 1. Honestly this is like a really fair suggestion I think you could make a case for these two being cool non priority options or even in tandem with prankster and these buffs they could compete with whims and torn potentially as just more disruptive support than speedy! even without prankster tho i'm here for that! 2. Dedenne the goal was to avoid turning it into either a better Pachirisu or another special pikaclone because most were, your buffs are pretty cool and Alluring Voice helps, just tried to give more of a like setup wincon role because I figured I lacked that in the list besides Azu which skews more AV anyway and they'd play far differently 3. Totally fair again just tried to avoid better Pachi because going defensive on an electric type is kinda hard, so I tried to go for more of like a physical Raichu sorta role here, but Toge probably had the most potential for buffs that would be reasonable and work! 4. I think SD could work but I fell in love with another idea suggesting to make the ability function like Dark Aura but buffing both Electric and Dark moves since my rework to Aura Wheel cut the practicality of its ability alltogether, itd probably have to be like a 1.2x boost to each because otherwise its just literally better Dark Aura. SD would be a great partnership with this though, and itd be a cool sweeper, but I may need to dial the stat buffs back a bit!
Honestly just giving Pikachu its stats from Lets go goes a long way, and if it then carried over into the Raichu's and was STILL able to use Light ball would def be enough to make it usable
I think its funny how you gave Plusle, the red Pokemon, the fire typing, and Minun, the blue Pokemon, the water typing. I think Electric works fine for them, I'd buff Plus and Minus to boost their special defense by 50% too, and then give them a few more points in HP and Sp Atk. Probably not gonna make them useful in VGC and the ability would probably buff other Plus/Minus Pokemon more, but it'd still help them out.
I would argue Minun being electric ice type would have been better and much more competitively viable. Bolt beam is overpowered especially stab, so that would make Minun instantly a threat
I'd much prefer if Plusle and Minun got a boost to their gimmick. Make Plus and Minus unique to them and make it buff ALL of their stats by 50% when paired up. That said, them getting secondary typings would be kinda cool but better left to permanent evolutions.
That isn't enough for my favorite Alolan Raichu. Add +10 Ang / +35 Def / +15 SpA / -35 SpD / +45 Speed Give him more Moves: Fire Punch, Flame Charge, Acrobatics & Power Gem to make them a very strong Pokemon.
3 weeks late but whatever: Mimikyu - you can't remove the Disguise nerf. It was there because it made Mimikyu way too good at setting trick room in VGC. +Just give it Spirit Break, so it would have an accurate Fairy Move. Pikachu +I would just buff Light Ball. Either have if buff defences or buff speed, but not both. Raichu +Just give it Endeavor as an egg move. That was the best version of Raichu and this would increase availability since it used to be an event move. A-Raichu +Have Surge Surfer double speed in Electric AND Psychic Terrain, if not all terrain +Let it have Lighting Rod as a second ability +Give it Rising Voltage and Expanding Force so it would be an expert on two terrain types. Azumarill +Doesn't need much help, but if we must, let's give it Spirit Break Plusle/Minun -I wouldn't give the extra type, but i would be ok with them having fire/water moves, especially support ones. Quad Ground weakness would not help them +Let them have Prankster as a Hidden Ability. They don't have a 3rd ability +Buff Plus/Minus - active if you have another Electric type ally, boost speed and Attack (for Plus)/Sp. attack (for Minus). +Swap Plusle's Attack and Sp.Attack to work with new version of Plus Pachirisu: +Buff defences a bit, i guess. It's fine. Emolga +Give it Wind Rider as a Hidden Ability. Mostly protects it from Wind moves. Counter Tornadus maybe. Turns it into a Physical Attacker +Give it Tailwind to self trigger Wind Rider +Still keep Motor Drive as a 2nd ability, turn it into a Special Attacker + Give it Follow me, Redirection to punish with Static Dedenne +Change Plus to buffed Minus (see Plusle/Minun +Give it Follow me to protect ally from Dragon Moves. Cheek Pouch improves bulk Togodemaru +Give it Follow Me. Follow Me + Iron Barbs + Rocky Helmet = Use a Contact Move and lose 29% HP Morpeko +Maybe have the Hunger Switch do more than change its appearance and the type of Aura Wheel. maybe each form has different stats +Full Belly Form: Buffed defences. Stay in Full Belly Form if it ate a berry this turn, otherwise, go to Hangry Form at end of turn +Hangry Form: Buffed attacking stats. Immediately eats berries it has after attacking (if it has any). If it ate a Berry it goes back to Full Belly Mode. Grabs Knocked off Berries. +Give it Recycle to get its berry back +Give it Belch to counter Fairy types +Give it Pluck so it can steal Berries +Give it Sucker Punch for Priority STAB and Priority berry eating in Hangry Mode +Become a very weird Aeigislash Pawmot +oblivious is a great idea. Covert Cloak (no fake out) + Oblivious (no taunt) = Unstoppable Revival blessing
Here are some changes I would make to your changes that fits the theme of the pokemon better. For Emolga, I would give it + 40 in HP and 21 in both DEF and SPD instead of a ATK and SPA increase and give it the ability Regenerator. Also giving it Will-O-Wisp, Heat Wave, Thief, Snatch, and Ally Switch. For Dedenne, removing the ATK buff for a + 15 ATK and SPA or + 30 HP. Also giving it Tail Glow, Stuff Cheeks, and Magical Leaf. For Morpeko, instead of a move change, how about a rework of the ability. In its normal mode, it has the ability Friend Guard, and in its hungry mode, it has the ability huge power.
these are decent bu they failed to mention lack of physical electric stab for electric type. pokemon like togedemaru shouldnt be the only one with zip zap & pawmot should have better than doubleshock. also if the change to minun is that its electric water to plusle electric fire then minun needs boltbeam coverage with an ice move and plusle needs ground coverage with something like scorching sands
i don't known if you're uware of how the light ball works but 80 base attack pikachu is technically the strongest physical attacker in the game beside megas

Just so you know your new Pikachu is stronger than Mega Mewtwo Y Base 50 Sp.Atk with max evs and no Sp.Atk bosting nature is 199, but with the Light Ball multiplying it by 2, it's 398. To get that much damage, you'd need around 151 base Sp.Atk, which is on par with Blacephalon. However, with an additional +25 to its base Sp.Atk, that would bring it to 249. 249 x 2 = 498. To get 498 Sp.Atk with 252 EVs and a Timid Nature, you would need a whopping *200* base Sp.Atk, which pushes it past Mega Mewtwo Y's base 190 by the hair of its chinny chin chin. This is what he should've gotten since day 1

imo 130 spd for alolan raichu is honestly kind of unnecessary. to put this into perspective, this means with surge surfer active, alolan raichu with no speed evs or speed boosting nature will outspeed max speed investment regieleki. i think 120 speed is probably a good enough buff and you could either relocate the extra ten stat points into either more spatk, spdef. which would then be pretty decent, or def so raichu doesn't take crazy chip from fake out. also, playing more into their role of terrain sweeper, give them rising voltage. raging bolt currently has a monopoly on the move which is actually unacceptable.

Azumarill - I'd go to 95 is Def / SpD, but otherwise, I agree.
Minun - add the effect of Friend Guard to Minus. Add Wide Guard and Follow Me. +10 HP / +40 Def / +15 SpA / +20 Spe
Plusle - add the effect of Power Spot to Plus. Add Quick Guard and Fake Out. +10 HP / +40 Atk / +15 SpD / +20 Spe
Pachirisu - I'd lean more into Speed than bulk. +15 HP / +20 Def / +35 Spe. Otherwise, I agree.
Emolga - +15 HP / +15 Atk / +15 SpA / +15 Spe.
Dedenne - I'd go more bulky w/ this one. +40 HP / +33 Atk / +15 Def / -23 SpA / +5 SpD. I agree w/ Belly Drum.
Togedemaru - I can go along with that.
Mimikyu - +15 HP / +6 Atk / +5 SpD. Add Poltergeist.
Pawmot - +30 Spe, to match Flutter Mane. I agree w/ Oblivious.
Also, for Eeveelutions:
Universal:
- BST 525 -> 550. Base 65s -> 75s, Base 95s -> 100s.
- Add Focus Blast, Extreme Speed, Play Rough, Crunch. Maybe some other moves.
- bring back Hidden Power, and make Secret Power a Physical version.
Vaporeon: Add Multiscale + Quiver Dance
Jolteon: Add No Guard + Zap Cannon, Seed Flare
Flareon: Add "All Due Haste" (see below) + Dragon Rush and Wild Charge.
Espeon: Add Technician + Mud Shot, Icy Wind, Snarl
Umbreon: Add "Mastermind" (see below) + Heal Bell
Leafeon: Add Protean + Earthquake/Headlong Rush, Stone Edge/Rock Slide
Glaceon: Add Filter + Earth Power, Dazzling Gleam
Sylveon: Add Regenerator
"All Due Haste" = secondary effects moves gain +1 priority in exchange for losing secondary effect.
Quite surprised that you didn't just give the pikaclones before alola new evolutions
Changing Morpeko's Aura Wheel makes a lot of sense, but it does kind of make the ability useless.
I'd like to see something like:
Ability Seed Stash:
At the start of each turn the user gains a Berry Seed item if it is not holding anything. (Acts as a single use leftovers)
At the end of each turn the user swaps between Full and Hangry mode if it has or hasn't consumed an item that turn.
Increases the users STAB by 20% for Electric/Dark moves depending on the current form.
Morpeko learns Fling by TM, but it could be moved to an early spot in the learn set to give the pokemon an interesting trade-off between self-healing and boosted dark damage, as well as making the interaction with your changed Aura Wheel more dynamic (since you can still further boost the always-stab move by managing the pokemon's state)
Maybe that limits the held-item game a bit too much since almost any other held item would lock Morpeko into hangry mode; perhaps a setup move that allows Morpeko to store a held item for later (retrieving and using the item instantly when the move is next used) could also be introduced.
Once again, these are just my alternate suggestions, and amazing video.
i love reading the replies like this with well thought out stuff, so lemme rq address each:
1. Honestly this is like a really fair suggestion I think you could make a case for these two being cool non priority options or even in tandem with prankster and these buffs they could compete with whims and torn potentially as just more disruptive support than speedy! even without prankster tho i'm here for that!
2. Dedenne the goal was to avoid turning it into either a better Pachirisu or another special pikaclone because most were, your buffs are pretty cool and Alluring Voice helps, just tried to give more of a like setup wincon role because I figured I lacked that in the list besides Azu which skews more AV anyway and they'd play far differently
Add +10 Ang / +35 Def / +15 SpA / -35 SpD / +45 Speed
Give him more Moves: Fire Punch, Flame Charge, Acrobatics & Power Gem to make them a very strong Pokemon.
3 weeks late but whatever:
Mimikyu
- you can't remove the Disguise nerf. It was there because it made Mimikyu way too good at setting trick room in VGC.
+Just give it Spirit Break, so it would have an accurate Fairy Move.
Pikachu
+I would just buff Light Ball. Either have if buff defences or buff speed, but not both.
Raichu
+Just give it Endeavor as an egg move. That was the best version of Raichu and this would increase availability since it used to be an event move.
A-Raichu
+Have Surge Surfer double speed in Electric AND Psychic Terrain, if not all terrain
+Let it have Lighting Rod as a second ability
+Give it Rising Voltage and Expanding Force so it would be an expert on two terrain types.
Azumarill
+Doesn't need much help, but if we must, let's give it Spirit Break
Plusle/Minun
-I wouldn't give the extra type, but i would be ok with them having fire/water moves, especially support ones. Quad Ground weakness would not help them
+Let them have Prankster as a Hidden Ability. They don't have a 3rd ability
+Buff Plus/Minus - active if you have another Electric type ally, boost speed and Attack (for Plus)/Sp. attack (for Minus).
+Swap Plusle's Attack and Sp.Attack to work with new version of Plus
Pachirisu:
+Buff defences a bit, i guess. It's fine.
Emolga
+Give it Wind Rider as a Hidden Ability. Mostly protects it from Wind moves. Counter Tornadus maybe. Turns it into a Physical Attacker
+Give it Tailwind to self trigger Wind Rider
+Still keep Motor Drive as a 2nd ability, turn it into a Special Attacker
+ Give it Follow me, Redirection to punish with Static
Dedenne
+Change Plus to buffed Minus (see Plusle/Minun
+Give it Follow me to protect ally from Dragon Moves. Cheek Pouch improves bulk
Togodemaru
+Give it Follow Me. Follow Me + Iron Barbs + Rocky Helmet = Use a Contact Move and lose 29% HP
Morpeko
+Maybe have the Hunger Switch do more than change its appearance and the type of Aura Wheel. maybe each form has different stats
+Full Belly Form: Buffed defences. Stay in Full Belly Form if it ate a berry this turn, otherwise, go to Hangry Form at end of turn
+Hangry Form: Buffed attacking stats. Immediately eats berries it has after attacking (if it has any). If it ate a Berry it goes back to Full Belly Mode. Grabs Knocked off Berries.
+Give it Recycle to get its berry back
+Give it Belch to counter Fairy types
+Give it Pluck so it can steal Berries
+Give it Sucker Punch for Priority STAB and Priority berry eating in Hangry Mode
+Become a very weird Aeigislash
Pawmot
+oblivious is a great idea.
I think this is less outrageous than the starter buff video
Nothing got the dragon typing this time! I'm learning I promise!
I think 525 is way too high for these rodents. Also I think Raichu would be more mixed, not just all into spatk. So like 100 attack 110 spatk.
so weird how 120 speed is considered the minimum for a fast mon. i remember when 100 was that benchmark
these are decent bu they failed to mention lack of physical electric stab for electric type. pokemon like togedemaru shouldnt be the only one with zip zap & pawmot should have better than doubleshock.
also if the change to minun is that its electric water to plusle electric fire then minun needs boltbeam coverage with an ice move and plusle needs ground coverage with something like scorching sands
Just buff every cross-gen evolution not named Ursaluna, Farigaraf, Kingambit, or maybe Archaludon
Togekiss peaked with Dynamax infamously
Also probably leave gliscor alone too
If we were talking about singles sure but it could use some doubles buffs for sure
@@dwise23710Nah. Gliscor deserves a big buff, maybe a self poisoning move
I always thought Marril was gen 2’s pika-clone.
Give Raichu access to the Light Ball, and make Surge Surfer activate on any terrain. Done.
I think Alolan Raichu could get Rising Voltage + Surge Surfer instead of the ability change to Galvanize
i don't known if you're uware of how the light ball works but 80 base attack pikachu is technically the strongest physical attacker in the game beside megas
i do know how it works, it still misses out on holding another item though and its so frail most priority will bully it, so this will still be fine for doubles it'd just be a lot for singles!
@@oLivSama I also don't think it would be broken, it just feels wrong to give Pikachu a better attack stat than primal Groudon to "buff" it
Honestly I think you could make plusle and minun god tier support pokemon, they were made for doubles after all
Raichu is one of favorite pokemon of Wolfie Glick :) but he use it with rare move endever.
Now buff every pseudo-legendary (Dragonite to Baxcalibur) or buff every cross-gen evolution (from Crobat to Dudunsparce………..hell no to Ursaluna, and Kingambit tho, and Archaludon to an lesser extent)
both of these seem like great ideas; and yea anything like actually noteworthy would be avoided
dedenne would have like NO good STAB attacks which would be the massive downside though
I liked this a lot more than the starter video.
the biggest buff pokemon has ever given in term of stats is plus 40 bst
can you buff the Pseudo Legendries? I know they're mostly pretty good, they've been falling out recently due to power creep, and I'd love to see them get once again dominate the scene. also Goodra exist who I just want to see desperately become broken :/
i dont playu vgc. but i love these buffs! only 1 i dont really like is togedamaru
its a great typing. and gets good suprot moves. so id go for a 15 HP buff and some extra defences. allowing it to be a bulkyier suport pokemon with lightning rod
totally fair, its like a pachi raichu mix rn tho so i wanted to try to lean it towards a more physically offensive version of that but that's also a pretty fair take. I had the hardest time with toge trying to not just either make it better pachi
@@oLivSama i think you did well though. but maby isntead of a speed buff. give it a HP DEF and SPDEF buff. it didint need to eb fast. it be intresting to see a pika clone thats actually slow! making it better on TR. and allowing it to be bulkier. while still being an more physcle oriented attacker
How to buff Pikaclones...
Evolve them
easy buff to raichu: let it hold and use the light ball.
If I were you I would have just taken away volt’ tackles recoil and give it plus one priority and leave it’s stats the same
Emolga might be the worst clone, but it is indeed the cutest
Just so you know your new Pikachu is stronger than Mega Mewtwo Y
Base 50 Sp.Atk with max evs and no Sp.Atk bosting nature is 199, but with the Light Ball multiplying it by 2, it's 398.
This is what he should've gotten since day 1
I love this series so much
Thank you glad you're enjoying the content!
Ah yes the evolution is a clone
dedenne is so adorable ☺️
Why dont you just give Swift swim to plusle minus so he works as a Swift swimer like as one of The only Swift swimer that is elec and give it water type to just for The stab idk surf or smth
Azumarill and pawmot are raichu clones.
I would like to see a "How to buff every Cat and Dog Pokemon" video. I'd personally like to see the Eeveelutions featured as well due to the argument between the fandom on the Eeveelutions being either cats or dogs.
Something else is that, no offense, I can't really tell if you're male or female, Liv. Your profile pic shows that you're female, but personally for me, your voice sounds male. Again, no offense.
I'm trans, currently in the process of transitioning! Also I'm super down for these, I'll probably take a few ideas and poll them for my next one of these (shoutout to becca for that idea)
@@oLivSamaI wish you good luck then! Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I didn't even notice this comment until now.😅
Do the birds i am really curious for that
theres a lot of cool buffs for the birds tbh, gonna poll the next one soon ive gotten a lot of good ideas!
please do the eeveelutions next
Please buff the early route bug mons
Let then all use light ball 😈
Old disguise + sash is toxic for setting up trick room tbh, keep it bad
Let them all use light orb ez
Lets be real you make plusule and minun water and fire simply because red= fire and blue= water
How to buff all route one bugs ! Please
Pawmo buff when??
If the video hits 600 likes I'll force liv to buff pawmo as a yt short
imo 130 spd for alolan raichu is honestly kind of unnecessary. to put this into perspective, this means with surge surfer active, alolan raichu with no speed evs or speed boosting nature will outspeed max speed investment regieleki. i think 120 speed is probably a good enough buff and you could either relocate the extra ten stat points into either more spatk, spdef. which would then be pretty decent, or def so raichu doesn't take crazy chip from fake out. also, playing more into their role of terrain sweeper, give them rising voltage. raging bolt currently has a monopoly on the move which is actually unacceptable.
Regional bugs!!
Rlly living for these kinda vids diva gj 🫶🏻
Thanks a ton!!!
