It is worth noting that Raichu has also won a world championship in doubles as well. It was on Wolfe's team in 2016 when he was using it to protect primal Kyogre. In that format due to an event distribution it also had access to endeavor which Wolfe used.
The fact that no one remembers it is indicative of how good the guy is in doubles, it's a popular choice therefore winning worlds with it isn't huge news unlike Pachirisu
You just gave me a new head-canon- the Game Freak developers in Celadon City worked alongside the cloning scientists on Cinnabar Island. This is crazy, folks.
two things you forgot to mention, first is that raichu actually won the world championships too, i'm sure many people are aware but since this is a singles community it was on the team wolfey used in 2016 which is cool. and mimikyu definitely deserves the number 1 spot, the second thing you didn't mention is that disguise had to be nerfed since it was so broken in gen 7 vgc, the way it worked back then was that you took 0 damage when the disguise broke which meant with a focus sash you were guaranteed to survive at least two hits, which paired with fake out immunity meant it was ridiculously easy to set up trick room since you only had to worry about taunt (you could also just use mental herb mimikyu and cause a closed teamsheet moment)
The obscure pikachu clone Neutrun was supposed to be in a trio with Plusle & Minun, but GameFreak scrapped it due to fears about the unstable electric current these three produce
Muk is truly at the heart of many such debates. I wish these debates could be touched on in videos like these, but time is a limited resource, and not everything can be covered in every video.
I'd consider Pichu one. Considering Pikachu could already be found at "baby levels" it makes no sense for it to exist outside of merchandising/marketing.
Not for marketing in the advertising sense, but Pichu does exist for another reason. It exists to demonstrate the new Breeding mechanic. Baby pokemon themselves offer little to no value in practice even if in theory they offer a wider moveset their evolved forms would otherwise miss out on. Instead the concept of Babies as a whole highlight the addition of breeding to obtain multiples of otherwise rare pokemon, so of course Pikachu, the mascot and a rare Pokemon to begin with, would get a baby. The addition of Babies does have some competitive knockon as well, by introducing pre-evolutions to single-stage Pokemon into the Little Cup format. Unfortunately, Pichu doesn't get the benefit of Light Ball, despite being a requirement to get access to Volt Tackle, and it is massively outclassed by other Little Cup electrics like Chinchou and even by themselves-outclassed electrics like Mareep.
Plusle is actually kind of nuts in gen 7 randoms. The level advantage means it's super fast and reasonably strong. With a nasty plot it tears things to shreds

Dedenne is more likely based on a gerbil, not a hamster- note the long tail with a tuft on fur on the end. Hamsters have much shorter tails that either look like fur-covered nubs or a short and stumpy mouse tail.
