- I have been seeing China for a year and recently someone called the police on me for an unknown reason but I love living in China. I finally visited the Great Wall of China.

Because lots of “unfriendly” journalists distorted Chinese and China into negative reports, average Chinese would feel discriminated against. They are not against you, but the “unfair” journalists in the past.
Nice to see you again, Sheku.😀
You are doing a great job letting the world see the real China through your eyes 👍👍👍
Very nice video, while I've never been to China. I have been to Japan twice and last year I did a Mt Fuji run.
Every country has individuals who are paranoid and nosy.
If you consider the number of people you've encountered so far in China, those few instances only represent a tiny percentage!
P.S. I live in Taiwan, and even as a very polite Asian, I've encountered lots of extremely rude people! Due to lenient criminal punishment and politicians' indifference, Taiwan is a very lawless place, far more dangerous than mainland China.
That's because gangsterism and triads are still a thing in present day Taiwan.
Also aren't their a lot of Scammers over there too?
Awesome insights bro. 6 years+ in China, I haven’t had such a situation but I’ve had a very little interactions with some few karens but they tend to feel embarrassed when I speak the language with logic. The truth is that there are good and bad people everywhere in the world. No place is perfect but the percentage matters always. This is a nice video! Lots of happy people. Keep the videos coming bro✊🏾
I was so unlucky but I hope it doesn’t happen again. Thanks for your kind words mate
Come to Yunnan, which has the best summer weather in China.
In every country, there are always Karens.
I actually forgotten there are Karens everywhere 😂
@@Shekumanstravel Because in the past there have been paid journalists from western countries sent to China to write negative false reports on China. Like from the b b c. There have been many instances of that so. People are just being protective of the place they love. It’s not about you and it’s not personal.
So how do we judge the "snitch" is a "Karen"? By psychic ability? Witchcraft? Bias? Prejudice? Wild guess? "Karen Snitch", right or wrong, may have reasonable suspicion/s about Sheku, may not harbour bad intention, etc. There may be poor cross-cultural understanding on the part of one or both, victimhood played out, feeling of persecution (seen a lot of this in Britain), etc... Judgement across culture is always too easy. But there may one or both side that's "wrong".
Right now we just don't know who that "snitch" is. Find out from the police since you have an international YT audience to entertain. I do know the Chinese police etc do not waste their time entertaining "snitches", so there might justbe "something". Then again, sorry, there may not be a "snitch" or "Karen" at all, it could just be one's imagination (does happen when you are mostly alone in a foreign country), attention-seeking, the "snitch" may, rightly or wrongly find you "odd/weird", everything just as possible involved in your curious case. Would help with dealing with "snitches" and "Karens"...
Finally I get to see you again
brother,Chinese people in general always treat foreign people with kindness. As we have an old say "远方来的都是客“ meaning people from far away should be treated like guest.
However, western medias like BBC/CNN/The Economist totally ruined this. (They deserved it with their hypocrisy and vicious intend)
Still, vast majority of ordinary Chinese tend to be very friendly and kind so relax.
Here is my opinion about the local Chinese constantly assume / asking "are you an journalese?" , Just Remove / stop wearing the New York baseball hat ! the logo of NY is well know and it's belongs to an American famous baseball team ! what ever reason for you to wear this particular hat so regularly in all your video is not in question , but to everyone ... it's American ! welcome back to China , we miss you ..a little !
Aha maybe because some people thinks I am American but I am glad I handled the situation well when the police came. Thanks for your concern!
@@Shekumanstravel Even if you're not an American, you're wearing clothes with insignia of a country that openly declares itself to be an enemy of China, is militarily occupying parts of Chinese territory, and is on a brink of a nuclear war with China. Other than that, it's insignia of a satanic country and a failed city. I personally don't understand why people go to China to flaunt their pro-Americanism (I've seen Westerners with American flags on their clothes), but I would expect that Chinese, tolerant as they are, will be less tolerant to that as hostilities increase.
虽然很多天津人也戴杨基帽子,但是“美国”+“记者”确实有可能引起不好的联想。
I totally agreed, why is he promoting New York is beyond me.
Think about New York times😅
A lot depends on what you say on your youtube channel you may find nothing wrong but how does it go down in a system diffrent from where you come, there are some British youtubers who are being shown on Chinese channels their views are being welcomed, even CCTV invited them on their channel and the British youtubers like it because their views are very positive and clear ,even an German youtuber is being shown on chinese channels, they were received in a very friendly way by the chinese coustoms when they visited China again,so its very important what you say on your channel you may mean someting but do everyone understand it as you do
Tow possibilities: 1. you were close to some sensitive area(military facility, etc), 2. they thought you were illegal immigrant.
Is it a serpentza #2 in the making?😅 Was he being approached by See I A
You’re crazy 😆 I still love living in China
You probably had a very professional camera and looked like a BBC fake news journalist.
U are very lovely person ❤😊
Thank you so much 😀
Probably some random strangers think you are up to no good
Glad you handled the police well. How were they compared to US police?
Well, I was never stopped by the police while I was living in the US but I have heard stories they can be aggressive but not all US police are like that. Chinese people are more relaxed based on my encounter.
Hello👋🏻
Lovely ❤️
Wc back
❤️👊🏾
Welcome to usa, this will happen to you here too.
So what's the story on the Chinese/police side, then? Sometimes the Chinese or their police are somewhat oversensitive, I have come across stories about the police being "funny" about people "weird' to them, mentally unstable people, people pushing religion, cults... And, do be fair, the "snitch" may not be a "Karen", if you press further, the police and the courts do often cooperate. I was once questioned by a "stranger' while boarding a plane, I demanded to know who the person was and why I was the only one questioned. If you were "snitched" pursue the matter since you've made it a YT worldwide interest, and the police etc may find that even more "funny". In any case, it may help if you are employed in China.
The subtitles on your video cannot be translated into Chinese language😅
lol I am too tired to update the subtitles lol
