  • If you love anything red velvet as much as I do, you’ll absolutely love these fudgy, velvety and eggless red velvet brownies! I made a version of these brownies with eggs and so many of you asked me for an eggless version so here it is. Let’s get started.
    Written recipe - bakewithshives...
    recipe with eggs- • RED VELVET CHEESECAKE ...
    Ingredients -
    For brownie:
    1 cup (226gms) butter
    1 + 1/2 (300gms) sugar
    1 cup (285gms) curd
    1 tsp (5ml) vanilla
    2 tsp (10ml) vinegar
    2 cups (240gms) maida
    1/4 cup (30gms) cocoa
    3 tsp (15ml) red food color
    For cheesecake layer:
    1+1/2 cup (225gms) cream cheese
    1/2 cup (153gms) condensed milk
    1 tsp (5ml) vanilla
    1 + 1/2 tbsp (15gms) cornflour

    I thought what makes brownies diff is chocolate+ butter+ dense fudgy structure..we didn't use any chocolate here... isn't it just a butter cake then?

    Awesome! Why is the curdling happening in brownie batter Shivesh? Can we use electric beater for mixing brownie batter? Also kindly tell us the precise places for application of electric beater! (Some recipe calls for free hand mixing, some would work with beater / Stand mixer)Anticipating your reply!

    Hi, Shivesh. I tried these brownies today but mine turned out slightly brown on the top unlike yours! I baked them at 180°C for 45 mins on convection mode, but the top didn't turn out to be creamy white and the brownies were also li'll undone so I put 'em back in for 5 minutes more which worked okay. I'm just curious to know about the colour of my cheesecake layer....

      It's because the brownies were not cooked from the middle this happens a lot so the next time when you poke and check if the brownies are done and the knife or the stick comes out clean keep it for more 5 to 10 mins it will be cooked properly
      Ps:- I myself run a home bakery

    I tried this recipe but the top layer was like burnt out it did look like cheese white and red colour. It turned in brown colour.
