I think its funny trials have this reputation of being very hoity toity, when stuff like these are actually common occurrences. It's not always anime, but attorney's making crazy comparisons is something you'll encounter a lot. One time i read a trial transcript where an attorney said the other attorney was "as annoying as Sheldon Cooper."
I looked into what T.H.U.G. L.I.F.E. stands for, and it really was intended to mean "The Hate U Give Little Infants Fucks Everybody". That's very positive and an excellent observation.

@Broomer52 Stop being stupid bro. All this pessimism over 1 person being weird. You think every person is like that? Like there's no shame or nothing? When she mentioned the Bount arc, I was genuinely surprised her client didn't just tell the judge to give the guilty verdict. At that point your chances are as thin as a thread in a hurricane.
I dont understand that saying “thin as thread in a hurricane” what about the hurricane makes the thread thinner

The worst part is her central argument isn't even good. She's basically saying "none of this matters so declare him not guilty" which doesn't address any of the actual claims.

I think it's interesting.
She described something that she was geeky about and used it to make a point that this was all for show. And she capped it with that very point.
While I didn't understand the reference because I'm old and shit, I recognize the geek passion, and I get it.
While her presentation was a little rough, it did have a point. And this comes to the crux of the legal court and the Court of Public Opinion™, which has Judge Judy vibes so deep I can feel myself clenching.
