i was blown away by the water effects in Wave Race on the GameCube it looks more realistic than on N64 a pity they didn’t continue the Wave Race series on 3DS, DS, GBA, Switch, Wii/Wii U
The one specific memory I have of this game is coming back from a deep-sea fishing trip with my uncle and two cousins and trying to play it. The waves in the game were so realistic that it was re triggering our sea sickness
It was the best jet ski racing game, together with Namco Aqua Jet from 1996 which even received a music video - X-Pression - Riding on the wave 1997. These games would always have a place in my heart.
I never owned this game but when I was a kid I visited my grandparents every 2 weeks and their neighbour, a guy about 10 years older than me had it. I lent it from him but I never returned it... because when he started working as a forester, his co-worker cut a tree but didn't pay attention and then the tree fell on the guy and he died in his early 20s. I also still have his N64 controllers. I hope they are not haunted (a great song by the band POE by the way). His name was Santino. So sad.
My first days playing this game were amazing. It seemed so realistic. I played this game everyday. I just couldn't get enough of it. This to me is still the best Jet ski racing game. Played this game until I was able to easily win every race. I haven't played this in quite a few years. I may have to now go through my games and get this out and play through this again for old time sake.
No, not at all. All N64 games on Wii U are emulated terribly. They also have dark epilepsy filters over the gameplay, it's not good Traducción Española: No, en absoluto. Used to play this game a lot in my childhood. I can still remember the tones of the soundtrack, very bright and cheerful
