We will only allow your legal heirs or the representatives to withdraw your money after we check such documents, and are satisfied that he / she has the authority to do this." These are tricky to answer as everyones situation is individual so there could be any number of reasons why they're not accepting it, but it's hard for us to help without the details. I think I used my passport and drivers license as my two forms of ID and didn't have any issues, but again, that probably doesn't help you! Have you got feedback from eToro as to why they keep returning your documents?

Hey Martin - Thanks for the comment. So you can technically do both. eToro accept Revolut account linking, but only for GBP and Euro deposits, not USD (even if you have USD in your Revolut account). The eToro platform (at time of writing) only has a base currency of USD. So, if you had a US bank account, you could link that and deposit USD, but you can't do it with Revolut (at least not at the moment). So regardless whether you link your regular bank account, or Revolut account, you will need to pay a small conversion fee in order to convert your lodged funds to USD on eToro (unless, as mentioned, your regular bank account is denominated in USD) For your reference: www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/1458589242/can-i-use-revolut-to-deposit-and-withdraw/

Are you in Ireland? Basically it should be your national tax number. In Ireland this is called your PPS number. In the US it's likely your Social Security Number, etc.

Hey! As part of KYC, most brokers are required by law to take this data in order to report your trade history to tax authorities should they need them. This is to try minimise tax avoidance, etc. It's up to you whether you're comfortable sharing these details with a broker, but of course, if you're not - you're unlikely to be able to open an account. Hey Azaz - thanks for the question. So eToro are a regulated broker, and thus need to do KYC on their customers - which means they're going to ask for your ID. Source Etoro: "Verification is a mandatory part of the process of registering for the eToro platform. Regulatory requirements dictate that we verify each new eToro account. This keeps our platform secure and prevents untoward activity." It looks like you'll need a passport, government ID or drivers license in order to open an account I'm afraid!
Most brokers I'm aware need to do KYC on customers, but there are some crypto exchanges that only ask for an email. KuCoin and Binance allow certain elements of their trading platform without needing KYC, but you'll be limited by the amount you can withdraw from you account per day (which probably isn't an issue)
