For me it's always the subtle gags that you come up with during the edit that make me piss myself. 0:40 with the talking continuing through the intro graphics had me belly laughing. Never change Owen ❤
I'm literally in the process of making my own lmao. 2 softmodded PS2s with network adaptors, 2 GunCon 2s, an ilink cable, 2 custom made pedals and two CRTs. Currently trying to source an affordable second TV and I'll be ready to have people play it.
My college roommate and I quoted HotD2 all the fucking time. It's great to see the "second chances" quote here. We even had dances based on the bosses' movements, such as "The Hierophant" and "The Emperor." Great times.
As someone who deals exclusively in hyper long retrospectives. I utterly loved how funny and breezy this was. I'm absolutely going to have dive through this back catalogue of videos!
As a small American child, it was Silent Scope that I always spent my quarters on at the arcade. I grew frustrated because according to the side of the cabinet to regain health you have to use your scope to zoom in on sunbathing bikini babes. You lose health if you shoot them. I lost a lot of games because I couldnt comprehend that shooting was bad but being a voyeur was rewarded.
Adding to your X-files Arcade game pitch, it could be a competitive Co-op thing, where Mulder has to kill the werewolf before Skully can finish typing "Furry" once she sees it. Whoever finishes first gets the points/kill. I imagine having a keyboard in an arcade would be pretty gross though, there's no way I'd touch an Arcade Keyboard. Some ass would steal the "S" key.
Can’t even articulate how sad it is that any arcade I go to no longer has a single “classic” light gun game. I haven’t gotten to play house of the dead or silent scope in well over a decade. Both the guns in this video look sick by the way
Silent scope is tougher (there is an xbox version of it, but it's CRT only), but HotD has been released and re-released a million times. The Wii is great place to start. Get a Wii U, and you can play 2&3 on an LCD for like 100$.
@@goop_lord That's why the best option is to get a PC and a gun4IR solution. But that's like MINIMUM 1000$ if you get lucky with the PC purchase (and assuming you want to use it to play more recent LG games)
Hold up that noise at the intro the boat noise unlocked nostalgia ? What is that from ? Was it in scooby doo? Or something else I know I heard it early on in my life
I haven't seen a Time Crisis arcade machine in so many years, the last time I came across one I dumped most of the money in my wallet into it... I should have spent all of it.
In Virtua Cop 2 you can take off the highlight that goes on your enemies before they shoot. I played the game so much better with that option off because the highlight was ruining my accuracy
Couldn't be more right, standing at that machine as a kid with that fucking chunky rapid fire recoil machine gun endlessly into waves of enemies and taking everything in the environment along with them just made you feel like a god.
@@EggBastion I kinda did it to myself, I guess it's more marketable that way too. I just wanted some sort of official statement from him, because I liked the old name a lot, it was funky
🤔The only light gun game that I hold next to time crisis one is the house of the dead original. It’s a crime that was never ported over to Dreamcast. The second is good. But the original house of the dead is so incredibly iconic. BUT confidential mission puts up a big fight I don’t GAF what you say. That game hits hard too.
I can’t think of anything witty to say but I want to help your algorithm. Please love my comment and make a generic impersonal reply to further exploit UA-cam algorithms.
I feel like this comment section wouldn't be complete withouth adding my controversial opinion to it. I enjoyed Rescue Shot Bubibo more than Time Crisis. There, I said it. You're welcome.
I watched it. I really wanted to leave a comment about something you said too. Two of them in fact. But that was too much for my going to work brain and also my coming home brain. Sorry!
Demolition Racer was my childhood.
I grew up on Demolition racer and would rent it just to play the Tossers mini game.
I can't believe Shaun was so casually permanently killed off from the show like that. I thought he was a major character. RIP.
My favorite channel to engage in the comment section
sean has balls of steel for staring down the barrel of such an impressive piece without even flinching

God I want a time crisis arcade machine so bad now, the pedal, the slide moving when you shoot?! I can almost taste the nostalgia

made me exhale from my nose, well done
Delightful as ever, Owen. I especially enjoyed the part with the gun.
that was my favourite bit
Talking over your intro is an all time bit.

YEAH! DO IT! You huge but somehow casual nerd!
Couldn't get hold of a copy of Sudoku With a Gun™?
That xplosiv border sent me on a wave of nostalgia hunting cheap pc games in bargain bins.
6:29 ahhh, that scratchy disc read sound that makes you think your discs are being rubbed against sandpaper
Consistently the best vids on yt. Gimme more dreamcast niche content
Hard hitting expose that delivers everything it promises
"that at least one UA-cam comment will tragically describe as 'their childhood'" Comedy gold amongst comedy gold.
You were really on fire with this one. Loved the XPLOSIV border around your fantastic X files idea

Are you me? Had the exact same experience lol
!!! that ancient footage of owen is adorable i can't believe you recorded that eee
If I had a pound for every Irish videogame youtuber I've seen talk about lightgun games, I'd have 2 pounds
Tossers was my childhood.
I like your video
Don't think I didn't notice Lorne giving you a signed portrait. That'll be worth a lot when he finishes the series
I don't know when I subbed to this channel but your videos are always the bomb!

I’m referring to the actual cabinets, I’ve played both games in other forms plenty. The HotD remake sucks
Aliens³
The whole feels fake without it

my faves were HOTD 3 and time crisis 2, havn't been able to find them in a while
Thank you for this niceo video of dreamcast light gun games!
2:20 Can't beat the dramatic read of "G's Bloodstains?"
holy cow car tosser is just scorched earth with cars in stead of tanks.
Nicely done. I should of heeded the second chance advice when I was younger.
Everytime you release a video I feel spoiled.
Keep up the good work 👍✨
You were right, all the flashing was rather unpleasant for the eyes.
We need more car tossing games
Hold up that noise at the intro the boat noise unlocked nostalgia ? What is that from ?

The G-con is outright cool. It always looked like a Judge Dredd Lawgiver to me which made it even cooler.
I haven't seen a Time Crisis arcade machine in so many years, the last time I came across one I dumped most of the money in my wallet into it... I should have spent all of it.
underrated vid!! underrated channel!!!!
I’m only one left playing 2 player light gun games on 2 crt tvs. 😎

wtf was that thing with the 2 virtua cop games
Happy Pancake Day from The Infinite Review
Everytime you see a time crisis cab you have to play it, its the law.
comment for the algorhithm
7:39 fucking killed me
I can't believe Sean is dead
Time Crisis is one of the best games of all time, you said it and I agree :D
Damn you got her
Now no one can catch you lackin 🔫🔫
Was there a dreamcast port for Time Crisis?
if you set your shutterspeed to 60 your CRT wont flicker in the recording.
Virtua Cop 2 is more fun than Time Crisis 1/2 IMO.
However Crisis Zone arcade is the definitive king of auto lightgun games.

Dale Winton was a quality game

Wow, this thing looks a helluva lot cooler (and more practical) than those third-party lightguns we had to make do with in America due to Columbine.
