My brand new G29 had also quite a big wobble. Strangely enough, when disassembled, i didn´t found any loose screw. Everything was tight from factory. So when it was all disassembled, i at least added some more lubricant to all the gears and oil into the top bearings under the brass pinion gears. Well after assembling it - wobble simply disappeared, wheel is now tight and feels great. Don´t know where the problem was but it´s gone.

On mine it was a straight fit, I think it would only fit one way.
@@PaulinhoThompson will try again next week... thanks mate
awsome video thank you. i have the same issue. will fix it soon. thank you for the video
Brilliant and thanks for watching
I don't have wheel wobble like yours. I have a loose left and right turning problem. Do you know how to fix that? If the steering wheel is perfectly centered, the wheel is loose from about the 11 o'clock position to the 1 o'clock position. I want to make that tighter but idk how.
Sounds like something on the centre shaft or hearing inside. I suspect you'll have to take it apart and have a look inside.
Will this void warranty
I think so yes.
@@PaulinhoThompson cheers man, will just send it back
I have the problem that the switching display just like the shifters and the buttons don't go at all at the beginning it has already licked around when you have steered to the right at ps4 in the share menu etc. You know what the problem is this is
Hi Paul, i bought dfgt for my son in 2020 but since he hasn't enjoyed once, due to vehemently shaking wheel and I don't knw how to help him anymore. Any idea will be appreciated. Thanks.
Do you mean in a specific game or when the wheel is just plugged in ?
@@PaulinhoThompson in a game Gt6 to b precise.
@@oluwaseyifunmiadekoya722 I think they released two patches for GT6 to fix force feedback issues, have you installed them ?
@@PaulinhoThompson Oh.....i don't any ideal about it, kindly tell me more about it. I'm sure he will be very happy if i can find lasting solution.
Are the bolts not tight from the factory? Just trying to figure out if it's going to happen again, and I'll be opening mine up in another 2 month. Not handy if so. Had it for 2 months and has developed bad wobble over last week.
It does seem that some units were loose like mine.
@@PaulinhoThompson ah, I see. Going to attempt the fix today, cheers for the detailed vid!
@@daginge29 no problem and good luck 👍🏻
@@PaulinhoThompson that's me done it, pretty straightforward, but the screws in the inside were all tight! The 3 long ones took a wee tighten, but I still have wobble. God knows why. Do you reckon it'll be covered under the warranty?
@@daginge29it could well be 👍🏻
hi i have a problem with my g29, when there is the feedback hole turning to the right the steering wheel makes a loud noise of gears, as if it were creaking. if instead i turn to the left it is silent. Do you know by chance how to solve it? thanks
@@samuelebravo4116 sounds like you're going to have to take it apart and check each of the teeth on the gearing cogs.. also check that it's well greased.
@@PaulinhoThompson I opened the whole steering wheel, I checked the gears and everything is fine, I greased everything, but the steering wheel still makes noise
After fixing up the screws, the wheel stopped wobbling. But after playing for a bit the wobble started again… any ideas guys?
Maybe try using some thread lock on the screws ?, that may help.
@@PaulinhoThompson thx. Will try that. I also think that it might be the two screws that are hard to get to. I used pliers to tighten them but I think they might still be loose. How did you tighten yours?
@@WDFQofficial with a lot of fiddling 😥
Thanks that was good video
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Thanks it’s like new again 👌
That's awesome news 👍 well done.
Mine FINALLY let go last night after its last drift session before I switched over to an F1 car and realized how much movement there was in the base... I guess I hadn't noticed since the wheel was always spinning lol
Thanks for the save Boss! I'm assuming a 2 hour job from start to finish? 1.5
Yeah it's not too long or bad a job, good luck 👍🏻
Thank you!
No worries 👍
thanks alot, gonna try this later
Good luck 👍
Hi man, i dont have problem with wobble.. but when u picked up my wheel and turned it upside down and little screw fell out (broken in half), do you know by any chance where it might be from ?
Sounds like it could be a case screw, a but strange though.
Great vid. Looks like a whole pain in the butt, but I got to do it. Will be adding blue loctite.
A great idea, let me know how you get on.
Thank you.
Thanks for watching my video.
@@PaulinhoThompson Thanks for fixing my steering wheel :D it was starting to be pain in my ass.
Holy shit at the redundancy of the amount of unnecessary screws in this thing. All that's needed to reassemble is the front 6 hex screws. Fuck all the rear screws lol.
It's a lot of screws lol
@@PaulinhoThompson yeah but its worth it in the end I had one screw under the wheel that was like halfway backed out of its slot, tightening that made the wheel feel like it's brand new again
@@jjg5365 that's a great result 👍🏻
Can I take the top cover off without taking everything else apart? I already have an aftermarket wheel, with an adapter, on my g920, and Id rather not have to take it that far apart again lol
Nevermind, I answered my own question as soon as I looked at the wheel. 🤣🤦🏼♂️
@@bigdfitness5020 annoying isn't it lol
@@PaulinhoThompson they could have designed that plastic cover to split in the center at the hub 🤦🏼♂️😡
@@bigdfitness5020I 100% agree
thank you
Happy to help 👍
thanks man, my wheel had a slight wobble, turns out the 3 screws what which hold the wheel hub to the drive bit were loose, also theres a pesky clip under the dial so if it dont come off then get a little bit of a angle on it, i dont entirely think it matters if the clip is broken or notcan tell the plastic for the clip is abs cause it turned white on me
whoops, oh well stressed it a bit, what'ma goona do bout it, nothin.
Glad it helped and thank you for the comment 👍👍
Thanks
No worries 👍
Thank you so much. Problem solved.
Brilliant news 👍
Anyone know the value of FB1 at the wheel board?
Still same problem, i did everything like you did in video....
That's an unusual one, very odd.
I have a G29 joystick, and when I turn it on in PS4 mode, it keeps spinning and does not stop, so what is the solution?
Is this on PlayStation? If so try turning on the PS4 in safe mode and recalibrate.
@@PaulinhoThompson
I changed the ps4 and the problem remains. The steering wheel keeps spinning and does not stop. How can I solve the problem?
@@ayoubbenhalima8822 I reckon you need to take the wheel apart and look at the gears for the actual "rack", as it should have a restriction on how far it can rotate.
